We are on our way to the house that I rented, it is also where the hybrids are transported a while ago. We are quiet inside the carriage, no one dared to speak. Of course, even if Alarick and Aesir wanted to ask Kenzo, the dark elf I bought in that auction a few questions, they can’t because Cain is also here and he is not that stupid not to take a hint that there is something weird and mysterious about my two servants.

Actually, I can already feel the suspicion growing in Cain’s aura. I bet he is asking himself on how the heck did my two servants got so strong that the three of us are able to take down such large number of monsters days ago. Not to mention that we are perfectly sync that time and even now, he may be asking himself the question, ‘How is this three be able to understand and know what the other is thinking without even talking?’

Another thing is that, I bet he has not got over the fact that Alarick and Aesir have a completely different presence and aura compared to other servants that he met.

And because no one dared to start a conversation, Kenzo, the dark elf was left confused. His question a while ago was not even answered. Why? Because he just mumbled it without unconsciously and knowing Cain, he is not going to give any information especially knowing the fact that he is a dark elf.

I understand where Cain is coming from. If I am in his position, I would also choose to stay quiet until I am sure that Kenzo is truly to be trusted and has nothing on its body that could endanger our lives and the lives of the people living in the empire. But of course, I am not a normal human being, I know that Kenzo will not bring any harm; First reason for that is he is a unique hybrid of a human and an elf who was able to retain his rationality, memories and emotions before he turned into a dark elf. Second reason is that it is obvious in his aura, it is not the same as the other monsters like those who I fought in the dungeon. Third, I admire his control to his anger, because a while ago when I ordered him to cast that smokescreen and when I am absorbing the poison from it, I noticed that the poison in the gas substance is not that many compared to what he have described it.

It was only of a little amount; however, it is indeed true that if those people continued to inhale such gas there could be some complications in their internal organs. But the surprising thing that it is obvious that he was able to control it as well, a little more practice and he is going to be able to get used to using his powers with or without poison and I am going make sure that he is going to also enhance his old abilities because I was able to sense that he still has those things.

Fourth reason that he will not betray nor harm us or the people of the empire is that he owes me big time. He technically owes me his freedom and his life and I bet that he already knows that if he tries to do something that I will surely not like, he will surely lose his head. Fifth and last reason that I can think of is that he wants to actually be sure that I really have the guardians as my familiar.

“We are almost there, Lady Mila” – Alarick said while looking outside the window. I nod my head in response but that’s not all I got to say.

“Make sure that no one is following us. If there is, capture them and bring them to the basement of our home” – I said through our mind link.

“I thought we are free to kill them” – Alarick commented which made me roll my eyes subconsciously. His meter to intent to kill human beings appeared the moment when we felt that ominous feeling and it increased when he saw Kenzo being the ‘ominous’ item to be sold off to the nobles. Of course, if I am a guardian as well, I would definitely be angry with all the shits human beings are doing.

Clearly, our king is trying to disrupt the balance that has been created in this world. They are trying to make the darkness weigh more than the light.

“You can torture them later but you are definitely not allowed to take their life. Because they are going to be quite useful to us” – I said and Alarick let out a sigh. I guess he is not satisfied with just that but he has no choice but to agree with what I just said. Well, they know me too well, in everything that I say it is always ‘take it or leave it’ kind of thing.

“By the way Mila, what are we going to do with the coachman?” – Aesir asked and I immediately answered her.

“The usual, erase his memories and make sure that no one is able to know that his memories got erased.” – When I said that, Aesir immediately replied ‘Yes, Mila’. Aesir, despite knowing the fact that human beings did a lot of cruel things through the auction event we attended remained calm.

I am actually expecting that she would also have this intense killing intent. However, she did not show it, she remained calm the whole time. However, because of our strong bond I can still feel that she is really mad as well. It is really just that she can handle her emotions too well, which Alarick cannot really do. However, when it comes to me, she easily panics like she doesn’t know that I can perfectly handle myself as well.

“What are you thinking Lady Mila?” - Cain suddenly spoke which made me open my eyes and look at him. Do I look like I am thinking about something? I am not actually thinking about anything, I am just having a mental conversation with Alarick and Aesir.

“Nothing really” – I just said because I am not really thinking about anything. Cain then nod his head and he shifted his eyes to the window.

“Seriously, what is going on around here? I cannot understand a single thing” – Kenzo suddenly said through our mind link which made mentally roll my eyes. I f-cking forgot to disconnect our link. Now I really have no choice but to explain to him every detail of what is actually going on.

“Fine, I am going to tell you what’s going on. But you have to f-cking make sure not to make your expressions too obvious because that man beside you does not know that I can talk to you through mind link because no ordinary person can do so.”

“Alright” – He simply replied which instantly made me heave a deep sigh subconsciously.

“First things first, I go by the name Mila, the man beside you is Cain and the two beside me is Aesir and Alarick. I will tell you the specifics about my identity and the two beside me later when the man beside you is gone.

Second is that we are on a mission. There has been an information given to us that hybrids are to be sold off to become slaves in an auction that happens yearly in the empire and such thing is illegal. So, someone hired us to do the job of saving your kin who was about to sold off” – I said and I can see how he clenched his hands into fists. I guess he is angry about the fact that his kin are about to be sold off to be slaves or weapons for the noble men’s own gain.

“The moment I ordered you to cast your creation magic, that’s the cue that Cain, Aesir and Alarick disappeared to look for your kin and instantly transfer them to a safe place. I asked the three to use a teleportation scroll to be able to make the job a lot easier and without anyone noticing that the items to be sold of went missing and of course those shit bags will not find a single thing on how they are able to escape” - I added and I can feel in his aura that he was satisfied to hear what I just said, of course he is. It is his kin we are talking about. Alright, although he has turned into a dark elf, his heart is still connected with his kin, I can feel his urge to protect his kin, however it is going to impossible if he is a dark elf because surely, he will get his kin infected with the poison he has inside his body. However, I believe that he can also control it pretty well.

He just needs a little bit of training and of course, I am going to do something to make sure that he is going to quite an ace for me and in the game I created.

“Where are they exactly?” – He asked which once again made me heave a deep sigh subconsciously.

“I rented a house and we are on our way. We are just a few miles away so traveling wouldn’t be that long. Don’t worry too much, they are safe.” – I said and he suddenly heave a deep sigh which his seatmate, Cain clearly heard. Even Alarick and Aesir moved their eyes to look at Kenzo. I already told him to keep his expressions low and here he is sighing suddenly.

Anyways, I cannot do anything about that anymore and I know Cain will not give that much of an attention towards Kenzo.
