Route 1: Not A Bad Thing

We already came back to my room and the moment I sat down on my chair located near my window, I immediately saw Elisha’s frowning face. Well, she has been frowning since the moment that she got out of the barrier that I created. Well, I already know the reason why she is frowning and that is because of what I did a while ago when I u**Scarlett Aubrielle**

It's already been more than an hour since I have asked them to analyze the illustration of the dungeon that we are about to subjugate and I have finished orienting them about everything that they need to know regarding what will happen six days from now and also how they are going to be prepared - specifically what their training will be. In fact, they all have similar training to be prepared well, that is except for Lucas Williams.

Lucas revealed seconds after they have given their answer regarding the dungeon and that I have confirmed that their answers are correct that he is a newly recurit in the knightage of the Elvoi duchy. And so, because he is new I have informed him that he will surely need to double his efforts to be able to keep up, however he also has a choice to back down and gain experience first. However, just like I expected he didn't backed down instead he said that his father have told him to not back down from anything especially if it concerns the safety of the majority.

Well, that exactly sounds like what he will do in the original plot of the game. And because of that, I told him that since he is persistent then he would have a separate training and that I will talk to him after the general orientation.

"Now that you have already gotten the gist of everything then I expect all of you to be able to follow what I have told you so that you will all be prepared within six days. Remember, I don't want anyone of you dying on the expedition. Got it?" I said

"Yes, my lady" they all said synchronously and I automatically nod my head.

"You are all dismissed but of course, Knight Lucas you will have to remain just like what I have said a while ago" with that, they all bowed down and one by one they disappeared from my sight. Theo looked at me, as if he is telling me that he needs to stay but I shook my head which is a sign that I cannot let him around me and actually hear what it is that I am about to tell to Lucas. Even if he has been ordered by my brother to watch over me, protect me and basically not let anything bad happen to me but what I am going to tell to Lucas is something that he really shouldn't hear and it is also for the sake of confidentiality and privacy.

"But My lady -

"Don't worry, I have Elisha with me so you may now leave. I am still a lady of this house too, Theo and my brother will surely understand" that is what I said and he let out a sigh before he nod his head and left. And when I saw that Theo's figure can no longer be seen, that is the time that I shift my gaze towards Lucas.

"Well now let us talk about your training, Knight Williams" I preliminarily said and he nod his head in response. Well, that is good that he is willing to listen to whatever it is that I am about to say and he is not the type of person that would question me before I could even say something. I must say, he really has the qualities off being a male lead. I just hope that he is not the gullible type as well.

"First the basics - jog for about an hour, a hundred swings and do the usual training that the knights do. It may be a simple thing but it will increase your endurance which is what you will be needing six days from now. A hundred swings is the minimum but if you are able to exceed that amount then the better, it also may be a simple thing to do but it will make the mana flow from your body to your hands much easier. Correct me if I am wrong but you are trying to use mana blade but everytime that you are able to summon it on your sword, it only lasts for a short while and it takes quite a toll on your hands" I continued and as if cue, his eyes widened - obviously shocked of what I just mentioned.

I bet that he didn't expect that I would actually bring up his attempt on using - or rather practicing his usage of his mana blade. Well, I know because again, I have analyzed his abilities with my eyes and I have seen how his mana is now flowing smoothly from his body to his arms and hands which is the reason why he is not able to use properly the mana blade, not to mention the fact that how he use his magic as well is also quite not that stable yet. He may be able to use it properly, cast spells and the likes however it will take much toll on his energy, making him get tired easily.

Again, that would be such a disadvantage and that could affect him and the group. The thing is although he is the destined sword saint of the game, there is no denying the fact that he still has a long way to go.

"Other than those things, you still have some more to do and I hope that you are going to take note of these things properly"

It took me for about ten minutes to be able to give him everything that he needs to do and so far, that's it. Honestly, those are only the things that I remembered him doing in the game as he trained to be able to achieve the title of being a sword saint. Well, I didn't give him everything that he needs to do but only the things that he first did in the game and the things that are only essential as we subjugate that dungeon.

"Now that is all, I wish you the best on your training and I hope that I will see some improvement a day before the subjugation. So, I am going to leave now, it is also best if you are going to start after taking your lunch" that is what I said and I am about to leave because it is already almost lunch time when suddenly spoke.

"How did you know that I am practicing mana blade, lady Scarlet?" that is what he asked and I instantly smiled and I gave him an innocent look.

"Well, will you believe me if I said that I can see right through your abilities?" I said and he frowned at me, confused. Well, of course he would be confused because such a thing is not possible especially for someone like me who haven't received even a proper training. But then again, I want to confuse him more. "Oh and also, will you believe me if I said that you can be a sword saint? Such big dreams right? But that is what my gut tells me" that is what I added and I saw his frowning face turned into a shocked one.

Oh will you look at that - the future sword saint has a priceless expression on his face. I guess I should considered myself lucky to be able to witness it this early, oh well meeting him here is unexpected but I think that it is not a bad thing either.


****to be continued***sed my abilities when in fact no one has ever allowed me to do so, or rather the correct term is that they never knew that I am able to use magic at my own will now because they are being over protective but of course, I do understand where they are coming from and that is what happened in the past, however again, it is also not justifiable if they are going to keep me in the dark.

And I don’t want to be kept in the dark espeecially knowing the fact that there are a lot of things that I need to do in order to survive in this world and also to make sure that the Elvois will survive.

“Don’t look at me like that Elisha, you know that it is for the best if I used magic in order to kind of show off to the knights that I truly am capable and that I am not all talk” that is what I said and she suddenly let out a sigh, I thought that she would finally stop frowning but I am wrong.

Elisha’s frowned deepened.

“But at least you could have informed me that you are going to use magic, my lady! You know that you haven’t really received proper training from neither the duke or the duchess. And when were you actually able to use magic huh, my lady?!” she said and I am now the one who let out a deep sigh.

I knew that it will actually come to this point that she will start to nag me and worse is ask questions about how am I able to use magic and when did I actually learned how to utilize my mana when in fact, no one thought me how to use it in the first place. Just like what she have said, I haven’t really received proper training or anything so it is really entirely impossible to happpen.

But of course, I am not going to let her be suspicious or anything, in fact there is nothing to be suspicious about because being an Elvoi can already be a sufficient reason - that the ability to be able to use magic comes out naturally in me and that no matter how hard they try to not let me learn magic, I will be able to still learn how to use it.

Well, that is how the Scarlet Aubrielle in the game was able to do it. No one thought her properly on how to use her magic, it just came out naturally and that she was able to control the extreme power inside her body a few months later - and that is what I am planning to do as well. My goal is to control the sleeping extreme power inside me before the offiial scenario of the game started.

I want to gain the upperhand as soon as possible and I recognize the fact that it will surely be hard to control the power inside my body and I will surely be in pain, but that is the only way to be able to easily pass through the other hardships of the four routes that I am about to take.

“I have learned it on my own which is one of the reasons I collapsed in the first place. Using magic runs in the blood of an Elvoi, Elisha you know that. And there is no way that I can be stopped from learning to use it” that is what I said and her eyes went wide for a few seconds but then she closed it and once again let out a sigh then she looked at me with a worried expression.

“Even if that is the case my lady, you really should inform me first before doing anything especially if it concerns using magic. You already know what happened when we were still young and I don’t want it to happen again” that is what she said and she still has a worried expression plastered on her face which made me let out a sigh. If she is looking at me with such an expression, I really cannot argue with her any further.

But I do understand where she is coming from - Scarlet Aubrielle is a close friend of hers and she treats her already like a sister so it is normal for her to be this worried.

“Yes Elisha, I am sorry I assure you, I will be careful from now on.” that is what I said and immediately, I saw her face lit up, she smiled then she said:

“That’s good my lady, thank you”

Approximately four hours had passed since I met with the knights and I am currently waiting for someone here in living room because I need to ask that person to do something important for me - something that I know that he only can do and of course, my brother would surely want it if I give him the task and not to another individual.

“My lady, Theo is already here” Elisha said which immediately made me put down the teacup that I am holding and I replied,

“You can let him in already” and right after I said that, Elisha did made Theo in.

“Lady Scarlet” Theo greeted me and he was about to bow down when I immediately stopped him from doing so.

“You can just take a seat Theo. We are the only ones here so you can drop the formalities” that is what I said and he confusingly looked at me but he still followed what I told him to do. He made his way towards the couch right in front of me and he sat down.

“As Elisha may have already told you, I want you to do something for me and I know that my brother already gave you a directive that you can do whatever it is that I asked you to do, correct?”

“That is correct, my lady. May I ask if what it is that you want me to do for you?” he replied and based from his reaction, I kind of have a feeling that he thinks that what I am about to ask him is something that is absurd or something that he cannot do. However, I know that he is the right person for this job and of course, I know that he will not decline because he too is curious.

“I simply want you to investigate that knight named Lucas Williams. I want you to give me every infromation that you can find about him in three days.” that is what I said and he had a shocked expression plastered on his face, it is as if he didn’t expect me to say that and I know that he is about to ask me why, so in order to cut the conversation short, I am just going to tell him already.

“Well, I am barely curious about that knight especially knowing the fact that he possess quite a remarkable talent - although it is raw it is evident as well that he has what it takes to be what the masses call as the sword saint. Don’t you think so as well, Theo? As the right hand of my brother I know that you have noticed it as well and you wanted to tell it to my brother but you still cannot find the right timing to go on with the investigation” that is what I said and at that moment, Theo’s eyes widened once again shocked of what he just heard from my mouth.

Well, is everything that I have just said really quite a shocked to him? Oh well, I guess it really is considering the fact that I have always been the princess of the family - the one who is protected by everyone, is not even allowed to use magic, nor allowed to go out of the duchy’s premises.

But oh well, they have to get used to this.
