Rescue Plan
*Henry*
I sat there for a long time trying to find a way to save Takara from Luca. I sat beside Sandra trying to read to her what I had written down. Writing plans down helps decide a final one. I started to tell them what I had written since no one could read it. "The best thing I could come up with was for Zeus and Joseph to take the girls to the card game. Luca will put them in a room with the others. If Sunshine can talk her into going out the bathroom window, Jay and I can come through the wooded area and take her off to the road. Then after a safe amount of time, Sandra can scream, telling Luca that she disappeared. She hadn't come back from the bathroom, and we were worried. If Sand was the one to tell him she was missing he would not think that the brotherhood had taken her, we would take her straight out of New York, and place her back in Ohio. She would be safe away from Luca. Job done." I shrugged standing back up and walking back to my chair. Joseph told me that it was a great plan. During the family meeting, I would be excused to do some recognizance. I would take our new "Normal" car to the peak and check out the building, side roads, woods, cameras, and surroundings. I was glad to get out of the meeting, I was never comfortable with all those alphas in one place. One guy is less alarming than a few of us heading to the peak. I wasn't worried about going by myself. Sometimes things are better done with one. He asked me if I wanted to take a guard, and I declined. "Listen, Chef, You need to take someone right? What about Three, the guy who stands beside the door all the time?" She was giving me a worried look. "No Sunshine, I will be okay. Sometimes we have to do things alone, to attract less attention." I said walking over to her and kissing her on the top of the head before walking out of the office. I headed to the gym, looking for my pistol, and a vest. I had everything ready when I heard Jay in my ear.
"Don't turn your back to them, little brother." He said. It was weird to hear that mute man speaking more. Sandra had pulled him pretty far out of his shell. I walked back towards the kitchen to find they had all left the office. Tanya was in the kitchen holding herself up with her crutches placing a pan on the stove. I walked up beside her, "What are you doing dear?" I asked trying not to startle her. "Oh hey, Henry right? I was going to try to make a pot of spaghetti for lunch, thinking if today was hard on everyone, at least we all eat beforehand." She shrugged and I smiled. "You are absolutely right Tanya, The family meetings hardly ever end with anyone eating." I knew all too well these meetings weren't fun. Fights break out. You would think we are all on the same side. We are I guess, but some get mad at Jo for adding rules. The fact is he is the king. This is his club. He and Mighty built it from nothing. They should respect his opinions and the fact that he pulled them from the gutter putting them in a better life. I get angry quickly because I know exactly what he did for me, and I won't sit and watch these fucks not appreciate it. "Do you need any help?" I asked her watching her struggle to get spices from the rack. She shook her head, yes reaching me with her crutches. She put a finger to her lips as to say be quiet, and started hobbling around on her cast. It was another piece of evidence that she was meant to be Sunshine's friend. I giggled at her, laying her crutches close by so she could grab them easily if she wanted. I walked back towards the office to tell Joseph and the others I was heading out. Sunshine looked up at me and smiled telling me to be safe. "Keep in contact." She said pointing at me. I nodded. "I will walk you out." Joseph got up from his desk as Zeus shook my hand and told me to let him know if I needed them.
When we got outside Joseph gave me a company credit card. He told me to get anything I needed for surveillance. He told me to get dinner. "Don't stay out there cold and hungry brother. We will get it done," he said smacking me on the shoulder. I shook his hand tightly before getting in the driver's seat of the small car. It was weird being in the driver's seat because we were driven around most of the time. I pulled out of the driveway and headed towards the freeway, a quicker way to the north. I turned on the radio, which the others never did, but the music was calming to me. When the music started playing I zoned out for a bit. It is scary when that happens. When you're driving and all of a sudden you are an hour in and you can't really remember how you got that far. After about 2 hours I was ready to hit the peak. I decided to stop in the south and eat at the brotherhood house there. I parked down the road and walked to the gate. I didn't want anyone seeing that car inside the gates right now. When I walked through a shiver ran up my spine, remembering the night Ark took Ryan and ran. I know they are both gone now, but part of me can feel their presence here. They let me in the gate immediately. As I walked in the front door I heard Blaze coming to greet me. "I am heading to my first family meeting bro, Any advice?" he said truly sounding concerned. "I would tell you to just show the utmost respect to Smoke and the inner circle. Also, don't upset the queen." I chuckled a bit, as he looked at me with horror. None of the brotherhood was used to the idea of a queen, but I would suggest they get used to it before the meeting. The first one to disrespect her will meet the wrath they don't want. I smiled and walked to the kitchen to whip up something quick to eat. Things seemed to be cleaner, and working smoothly at the north house. I took a mental note to let the boss know.
When I reached the peak, it was finally getting darker out, so I knew the meeting had already started in the city. I thought about how that might be going as I walked through the trees towards Luca's place. I watched as he left the house in a vehicle watching for signs of this girl. Could I not take her now, while he isn't here? I decided against going forward with a plan without discussing it with the others first. I heard a side door open and crouched down quickly. There she was, red hair, a round face, and a small red slik robe walking out the side door. I looked over and saw a small animal running towards her. She was feeding it. "Hello little fella, are you hungry today?"Her voice sounded like a classical piano playing to my ears. She wasn't thin like Sandra and Tanya. She had a body, like Marilyn Monroe, with mounds and curves. I suddenly had an urge to follow them with my hands. She was beautiful. I couldn't look away from her as she sat out there talking to the animal, which I had now realized was a small raccoon. Those little things were mean, usually, but here she sat talking to it like it was a small puppy. Her compassion was painted all over her face. I felt my heart ache at the idea of leaving this beautiful princess with that beast one more night. I had to fight the urge to grab her and run her off to safety. She looked up towards the woods where I was standing and I immediately held my breath and stepped back. When I stepped I heard a dramatically loud brance breath beneath my boots. She stood up with a curious look on her face before walking closer to the edge of the woods. "Hello?" She said nervously, and all I could do was try to slow my breathing. She stepped a little closer into the woods, making me walk back further into the trees. She kept coming. Did she think I was another helpless animal? I got behind a larger tree, that hid most of my body, watching her walk closer to me still.
She was trying to find whatever was making a noise. After a few minutes, I watched as she leaned herself against another large tree, closed her eyes, and took in a deep breath. "Please lord, don't forget me out here. I cannot play repuzel for Luca forever. Please send someone to save me from this hell." She said placing her head in her hands briefly before turning to walk back. I watched her for a minute before deciding to break the rules a bit. I walked a little faster to get closer to her. I think she heard me and got frightened because she froze in her spot. Suddenly she was staring at me, standing there.
"I am not here to hurt you, Takara. Elizabeth Oxide sent me to find you." I said putting a hand up to try to show her to not alarm Luca's guards.
She looked up at me a smiled at the name, "You came to save me?"
