POV - Kai-Lea (Flea Doe)
We’d talk about so much. Like that I was no longer expected to oblige anyone’s sexual whims, ever. The pack attorneys' learning that earned a collective growl that vibrated throughout the room. Causing me to shake with fear until Luna Krysta calmed the room down. Then that I am now required to see a therapist twice a week, just to start with. I was also informed that I'd be carrying a snack bag, as being a wolf meant being hungry a lot and often. And that it isn’t something to ashamed of.
“Thank you.”
Wanting to call her Mom, but the more I thought about it I realized I wasn’t her daughter and that’s not right. Nor is she, my Mother. But she was the kindest lady I’d ever met.
“You can call me Mom. If you’d like to.” She said as if she was just hearing my thoughts. That scared me a little. But she smiled at me it was nice.
“Thank you. I'd like that, Mom.” I was looking forward to getting to know everyone here. After some time, we went to the kitchen to set up where I could find my snack bag, filled with things I would eat at all times. Where I watched the Luna and head kitchen omega get into a small argument. In fact, the head omega started to fuss at the Luna. I was so shocked to see an omega getting away with talking to Luna like that. But I had to remind myself constantly it seemed that this wasn’t Black Moon Pack. That Green Mountain Pack does things differently. After finishing up with everything, I made my way back to my new room with my mates Kallen and Stuart, in tow.
Thinking about my birth name had me a little bummed, I don’t remember it, or even if I had one. If I did, I would be going by that now. But I don’t and that’s ok, I like Kai-Lea Tulip better, even with tulip being a flower not a name. It was still better than Flea. I was wondering why I was so far up in the pack house.
‘Why am I this far up in the pack house?’ I thought to myself, but I remembered being told that I will one day be the Luna of this pack with those two as Alphas. This confused me, I still didn’t understand this mate thing, but my wolf said it was nice.
“Remember you’re our mate, which means that you are to be protected and cared for.” Kallen started.
“That what you’re used to living like isn’t how you’re going to be living like now. That you are going to be pampered and loved.” Stuart finished. It was becoming easier and easier to keep tell them apart, at least for me.
“We know that it's bare and plain. But that’s why tomorrow after breakfast we are going to go to the mall and get you whatever you want. And we do mean whatever. Like Dad said.” Kallen said.
“Does that involve driving? How do you share the title? Do you have to compete for it?” I asked, barely keeping my eyes open any longer.
“Yes, but we may have a way to help you with that.” They moved me to my bed, “Our pack Doctor has come up with a concoction that will help with that so that you can go wherever you want. We can answer the rest of those lovely questions once you wake up.” Kallen said.
“Right now, you need some rest.” Stuart said, kissing me on my forehead, then moving to allow Kallen to do the same. As I feel asleep with them on either side of me. It felt nice and warm. They were warm and comfortable to be around. I dozed off listening to their heartbeats, which were in sync. Like a musical hum, or lullaby.
Three hours later…
“Did you enjoy your nap?” I was asked as I started to move from my bed to go freshen up in my bathroom.
“Yes, thank you. It was nice.”
“So, my questions from earlier. How do you share the title? Do you have to compete for it? I do have a few others but I… not sure what yet.”
“That’s fine. Just ask us anything at time. And no, we don’t have to compete for it, as we are identical twins we are thought of by most as one soul and two bodies. Like a normal wolf just doubled. We share the title. Now why don’t we go look around, we still have some time before dinner?” Stuart started to explain as he hugged me from the side.
“Even if we weren’t identical, we’d share it as we were born at the same time literally as Mom had to have a last-minute C-section. But if it weren’t for that or we had different mates then we’d have split the pack into two separate packs. That’s how our pack bylaws state for that issue to be resolved. There are packs that we know that have a set of quadruplets that are the Alphas, Betas, Gammas, and even Deltas of the pack. Then there are the triplets of Crimson Walkers pack that have a set of triplets with two as Alpha while the third has his own mate and is the Beta.” They took turns as they were explaining it all to me.
I felt safe.
“Here, it’s yours. It’s fully charged and ready to go.” They said handing me a cellphone.
I’d never had my own cell before. In fact, I wasn’t allowed to go near a phone unless I was helping someone else with theirs. It was actually the only thing outside of cleaning that I was any good at. Not being smart enough in other aspects of life made me feel like a letdown for them as their mate. While playing around on the phone a little we walked around the pack house, where they showed me the game room, living room, movie room, and so much more. I knew I would need help getting around here either with someone’s help or a map.
“Come on, we’re going to grab you a snack. You like your phone don’t you?” Stuart asked, as I mostly kept my eyes on it. It was nice to know where everything is, but I’d never gotten to have something this nice.
“Thank you. It’s nice.”
As I downloaded apps that I wanted to try, some I just always wanted to play in general others to help me with learning new things. I updated some of the features and gave myself more space. We made our way to the dining room where they were looking over the snacks that had been laid out. I never seen so many snack options at the ready. I waited for the others to grab what they wanted first, only to see they weren’t taking any of them. They were putting more out.
I simply made my way into the kitchen, which like the rest of this house was much, much bigger than my old Pack. And I wanted to know more. I looked around finding that they also had all sorts of kitchen things that I’d only seen in books at the school library. This also made me wonder if I was allowed to go to the library or if they had one here in the pack house. I saw someone set out the plates, silverware, and glasses for dinner. I figured it would be easier on them, to help out. I was about halfway through when, “What are you doing here?” Rachellea asked me with a stern look.
