POV – Kai-Lea
Kallen and Stuart told me that they were hunting Reggie as a traitor, I doubted that Reggie is a traitor. My wolf has told me more than once that he has eyes for Kallen. So, think maybe not wanting to admit or coming to terms with his sexuality he has inadvertently caused himself to become a target of the traitor hunt. I shook my head feeling sorry for Reggie but knowing that it wasn’t my place to stop them from doing this. We were loading up the RVs and trucks to start heading off as Mom and Dad were having a last-minute talk with Kallen and Stuart. While I was handling the unfortunate task of coaxing Gussie and Chellea into to RV without trying to pack more of the clothes. I even promised that they’d be able to add along the way at least four new cases outside of shoes if they’d help get everything loaded. To which they were all to happy to take me up on.
“Everyone ready?” Mom asked. My mother and father had already left to head home with Uncle Sawyer until I was back. As they weren’t taking back their titles. They wanted to make up for being dead before even considering to take up the mantle. Which Uncle Sawyer was pretended to be happy about. I doubted he actually enjoyed being Alpha King to Royal Lotus Moon Pack.
“Yes, I finally got them in the RV.” I said with pride. Not many could have without ten more suitcases.
“How much more are they trying to bring?”
“None. I made them the deal that if they’d take what is already packed and nothing more then they’d be able to buy enough to fill at least four more cases outside of shoes.”
“Why have we never thought of that?” Dad joked.
“And who knows maybe we can get them to appreciate ‘less is more’, on this trip.” I said.
“You have my blessing on whatever you think you need to do to get that done.” Mom said, hopeful that Gussie and Chellea would come back with the mindset that they needed to empty out their closets.
After giving a round or three of hugs, we finally headed on the road. I was nervous, I’d never been on a long trip outside of going to Aunties and coming from Black Moon. Thankfully the deceptions we have planned to catch those who could hurt us are further down on the itinerary of the trip. So, we are free to have fun before all the crap starts to dampen the mood of trip.
“So where are we going first?” Gussie asked.
“First up is the Lunar Gardens!” I exclaimed, my excitement bubbling over. “I’ve been reading so much about this place. It’s incredible—there’s no sunlight here at all, just the aftereffects of what the moon absorbs. The flowers actually glow during the day, radiating vibrant colors, but at night, they take on an entirely opposite effect, becoming darker and more mysterious. It’s said to create an atmosphere that’s truly magical.”
I glanced around, eager to soak it all in. “And there are plenty of clubs for us to check out while we’re here. Since this is our first stop, I figured we should take full advantage of our time. We’re going to be on this trip for a few months, so why not dive right in and experience everything this enchanting place has to offer?”
I smiled at my friends, feeling the thrill of the adventure ahead. “Let’s make some unforgettable memories here!”
“Sounds prefect, Little Mate.”
“Why do you two insist on calling her Little Mate?” Chellea asked.
“Have you not noticed how much shorter I am than most she-wolves my age. Even the two of you are taller than I am, Gussie you’re fifteen. And I like it.”
“Which is one of the reasons. The other is that unfortunately our other nicknames for her are private. Something that would have you repeating the sound, eww ad nauseum. Which is not a preferred outcome to us calling her them.” Kallen said. Getting a look of eww from everyone else’s facial expression.
Kallen, Stuart and I moved to the bedroom on the RV that had been modified for sound proofing. As we’d agreed that just because we were on this trip didn’t mean that we’d have to wait for hotel stops to enjoy each other’s needs. And Kallen thinking about his bedroom nicknames for me, loudly I might add, made me need him and Stuart to bring me over the edge that they’ve currently put me on. After undoing Stuart’s pants, I grabbed his very eager member and pulled on it ever so. Earning myself a hiss from him, as he nipped at my ear. “That room while is soundproof, is not smell proof. Maybe invest in some spray or any ability to air it out. Would be very nice of you three.” Felicity said.
“Hush. When you find your mate you’ll understand the need to release certain urges, whenever and wherever possible.” I told her, with a satisfied smile across my face. She in turn threw popcorn at my face. As while we were in the bedroom, everyone else aside from the warriors up front, who of course are driving us, had decided to watch a movie and eat junk.
“What are we watching?” Stuart asked.
“Something called Transformers. We are on the second one.” Gussie answered confused by the movie think.
“She’s mad cause its not a girly movie. But us guys won fair and square.”
“How is that?”
“We had a bet going.” Wade said, Kallen and Stuart started to look amused and underhanded at the same time.
“Oh.. really? Why do I get the feeling involved getting me in the bedroom?”
“Maybe… Maybe not. Who is to know.”
“If you two ever want anything more like what like just took place in that room. I suggest you confess.” I told them.
“Threatening to hold out on us are you?”
“Try me.” I said having just been satisfied by their ravishing so I good. Them on the other hand I knew would need it again long before I would.
“Fine. Yes. Ok. We may have helped them hedge their bet. In regard to how long it would be before we used the bedroom on this thing for that particular usage.”
“So, they cheated.”
“WHAT?” every female shouted, aside from as I was truly indifferent to the movie being watched, but I wasn’t going to let them get away with this.
“I think this means that the ladies on this trip get to pick every movie watched on the way home. No complaints from any of you lousy cheaters.”
“No way. That’s not fair.”
“I could amend it to being the entire trip.”
“No. No. On the way home is more than fair.”
“I thought so.” I said with smirk. ‘Never give them information or make bets about our sexual endeavors ever again. You both will fully learn what blue balls feels like.’ I told the Kallen and Stuart in a private mind link, with the full weight of my Luna Queen aura behind it.
‘Yes, Ma’am.’ The gulped out loud causing everyone else to laugh as they knew I had gotten onto them. Just not the specifics.
“Hush.” Kallen and Stuart said together fully embarrassed by it. Which was my goal as I’d just felt embarrassed knowing that my mates had aided in a bet that centered around our sex life. After choosing a new movie we all settled in for the remainder of the drive to the Lunar Gardens.
As the RV finally came to a stop, I felt a mix of awe and excitement brewing inside me. The Lunar Gardens were finally in sight, and they were more breathtaking than any description I’d read. Ahead of us stood a grand arched gate, woven from silvery vines that shimmered under the pale moonlight, seemingly attached to the mountain itself. It was breathtaking. The entrance looked like something out of a dream, as though it had been conjured from pure magic. The mountain itself towering us now made this even more than what I could have seen through pictures on a screen, its rocky face hiding the secrets of the gardens within.
“We’re here,” I breathed, stepping out of the vehicle and feeling the cool, crisp air swirl around me. I glanced back at Kallen and Stuart, both of them staring at the gate with wide-eyed wonder.
The silvery vines almost pulsed with life as we approached, as though drawing energy directly from the moon overhead. “This is the Lunar Gardens,” I said with a grin, pushing open the gate. “But the real magic? It’s what’s inside.”
A series of caves carved into the rock stretched out before us, each one lined with garden beds. These weren’t just ordinary flowers, though—the blossoms within the gardens glowed with soft lunar light, casting an ethereal glow that bounced off the walls of the caves. The closer we got, the more vibrant the flowers became. Their hues ranged from silvery whites to deep purples, greens, and blues, even some softer colors like pastel oranges, yellows and pinks all radiating that strange light I’d read so much about.
Kallen stepped up beside me, taking in the sight. “It’s like the moon carved this place out itself.”
I smiled at the thought. “That’s the legend, isn’t it? The moon’s magic runs through everything here—there’s no sunlight, only the light the moon absorbed. During the day, the flowers glow like this, but at night, they’ll shift, becoming something else entirely. There is a spot up on the mountain itself that only the moon shines through.”
The path led us deeper into the caves, where the air was cooler, the stone walls reflecting the soft glow from the flowers. The garden beds lined both sides of the path, each filled with different varieties of lunar-lit blooms. Some flowers had long, slender petals that seemed to ripple in the air, while others were more compact, their light intense and focused. The deeper we went, the more lush and enchanting the scenery became. The longer we were in here the more I felt a surge of power course through me. Like nothing I’d ever felt before. I knew that Kallen and Stuart were experiencing something similar.
