POV - Kallen
“Well, I guess it’s a good thing that I’m here.” Elder Issac finally said.
“Yep.” We said. Pissed that Milton had once again escaped our grasp. He is after our mate. And right now, she is no one where near us. Which only angered us more.
“Well, then we have an Alpha ceremony to perform. Don’t we?”
“Does anyone see a reason here why Alec Greenberg should not be Alpha of the Black Moon pack?” our father asked.
“No.” Wade spoke up.
“Wade, come on man. You can be an Alpha.” Stuart spoke.
“I don’t want to be an Alpha. I'm happy where I am, and the Greenberg family deserves a chance to turn Black Moon around for the better and permanently. Not to mention Kai-Lea is my little sister as far as I’m concerned. I won’t let someone else ever be her personal guard that’s my job.”
“Then alright Greenberg step forward.” Elder Issac said, “Give me your right hand. And repeat after me. I swear to uphold and honor all werewolf Laws, old and new. I swear to protect, enrich, and comfort all those under my command until I step down or my dying breath as Alpha of Black Moon Pack. Shall the Moon Goddess see me as wrong; shall she then end me where I stand.”
“I swear to uphold and honor all werewolf Laws, old and new. I swear to protect, enrich, and comfort all those under my command until I step down or my dying breath as Alpha of Black Moon Pack. Shall the Moon Goddess see me as wrong; shall she then end me where I stand.” Alec repeated after him.
“We now have a new Alpha of Black Moon Pack.” Elder Issac declared.
“Whoa!” Everyone cheered.
“Thank you.” Alec told us.
“Don’t thank us. Thank him. Not that we aren’t alright with you. We were more inclined to go with someone with less, feeling like they have something to make up for. Is all?”
“I understand and I am going to be worthy of the title I now possess. So, thank you.” He said that last part to Wade. They nodded to one another out of respect.
“You’re good. I don’t want to be Alpha. That’s their job. And now yours. Not mine. As the Moon Goddess ever felt to make me an Alpha she would have. But I’m not, nor do I want to be” Wade confessed. Which earned a chuckle from everyone around. At least everyone knew that he was loyal to us.
“Alpha Greenberg, before you go. We were able to determine that the two bodies in with the late Alpha Taylor were Alan and Chris Hansdale, brothers from your pack. We also know Milton Taylor was the one behind the bombing. We found the detonator under his seat in the other SUV.”
“Since his death occurred here. We can have the bodies shipped back or you can take them back.”
“I will take them with me. We need to be heading home; we have a lot to do. Including setting things right within our own pack. I would very much however like to formally apply for a treaty with Royal Green Mountain pack. As he wasn’t lying we do have a textile factory that does in fact double as our import/export facility.”
“We have every intention of holding to the treaty that was discussed here today. As you came to us in good faith prior to him ever even showing up. Everything should be ready in a few for you to head home. There is lunch in the dining room while you wait. Good luck to you and yours for the rest.”
“Thanks, I have a feeling I’m going to need it. I’m letting you know here and now that if I hear even a whisper on Milton’s location, then I’ll give you call and send back up.” Alec stated like real Alpha would.
“We will keep an eye out for it. And we’d appreciate that.”
Once all was said and done Alpha Alec, and his parents left to head back to their pack. We sent some warriors with them just to help with the transition and to make sure that they arrived back safely. Alec declined to take Taylors body stating that his crimes are for us to deal with as we see fit. We had his body put away until Kai-Lea was home. She was the one who should be deciding what happens to him.
Stuart and I wanted to go to our mate but knew that we needed to get a better location on Milton as Kai-Lea’s safety is now compromised with him on the loose.
“What exactly are we going to do about Milton? I am really getting sick of his ability to disappear. With his newest act of disappearing happening just after, handing over his title.” I Growled.
“With that ease that he did might I add.” Wade added.
“I know, what was that about?” Stuart asked.
At this point we were back in the office. The moment Dad sat in his chair he securely locked it from the switch under his desk.
“I don’t know. But this unfortunately means that Mom and the girls can’t come home. At least not right now. Nor can they come the way they traveled there.”
This earned him a growl from both of us. “Don’t go growling at me. My mate isn’t coming home either any more than my daughters. So, all have room to be angry. Instead of sitting here growling at me FIND THAT BASTARD.”
“ON IT.” We got up left the room and the pack to hunt every dark witch in a two-hundred-mile radius of the outer edge our pack lands all the way around.
As we left pack grounds we felt a pull to our mate but knew we could be putting her in danger which only fuel our need to find this bastard fast. He wasn’t getting any near our mate unless he is dead.
