“Simply four drops from her, a real wolf not a werewolf, and a humans all have to be fresh. And then we can start.” Stuart and I went back and forth over while, every pack member to search for any and all candles they could. Some even went to the store and bought them out. They all loved Kai-Lea as much as we did. He also had two warriors hunt a full wolf down. They did and after the witch got the blood she needed they released it back into the trees. He and Mom had one of the Kitchen omegas that has a human half-sister come to meet us. They were willing and more than glad to help their future Luna. As I hoped that all this would help Stuart open up to changing his mind about everything.
“Alright everything is ready. We need all parties that are staying to stay quiet and use that mind linking ability to talk to everyone else. Until the spell is finished. Speaking could bring about something dark. And are doing our best not to use the dark version of this simple spell.” the grandmother spoke firmly.
We all nodded, and they started the spell by locking us in the room so that no one could enter until we were done. They then moved onto the spell. As they did the candles grew and fell with every other word they said until two figures were standing in front of us. As they finished the spell we felt our mate's heart stop but moments later she reappeared in front of us. Seemingly to shock the witches as that apparently wasn’t part of the spell.
“The spell is finished. Kelly my sweet, Kyle. Meet the members of Royal Green Mountain Pack. The twin Alphas Kallen and Stuart Enwell. The current Alpha Tomas and Luna Krysta Enwell. And apparently your daughter Kai-Lea Tulip Doe.” the woman said, introducing us to them.
The one she called Kelly then turned with a look of sorrow and surprise on her face.
“She survived Kyle. Our daughter survived.”
“Oh, my Goddess. She looks just like you, Kelly.” her father spoke looking between his mate and his child.
“We don’t mean to interrupt but we need her birth name. Otherwise, we can’t save her.”
“My sweet child.” the woman called Kelly said, moving closer to Kai-Lea. Cupped her hands under Kai-Lea's chin and looked at her with pain in her heart, “We never could give you a name.” she admitted with pain heavy in her heart. As her child survived but without a proper name.
“So, I am nothing. The Taylor’s were right along. I don’t have a name.” her voice became broken.
“That’s not true Kai-Lea. You are something. Someone special.” all ours Mothers’ chastised her.
“We are so sorry, my child. But we were waiting to see if you were a boy or a girl. By the time that we had you, your mother and I had succumbed to our wounds from the attack. We were about to name you, when...” he stopped and looked at his mate.
“When we took our last breath. We are sorry that we couldn’t fight harder for you.” she finished for him.
“So how do we save our mate if she doesn’t have a birth name?”
“This is where I come in, my children. This young one still has things that she is meant to do. Her life is far from over. And as part of my bloodline I'm granting the two of you a minute back in that exact moment to give her a name, one that you can live with, and she can then be told. You three might want to also summon Tatiana as she holds information needed here.” she answered.
“I like my name Kai-Lea Tulip.” she said. We knew it was from having to be called horrendous names while she was back at Black Moon. And never knowing anything else, to learning about not actually having a name.
“Alright my child but we will add something to it and a real last name.” her father said, giving her a stern fatherly look. While also wanting to give into his daughters every whim just like our Dad does with Gustava, Rachellea and Kai-Lea. Even if Kai-Lea isn’t but his daughter – in – law.
“Ok.” she said and at that moment we all felt frozen. As time felt solid. As you blinked everyone was back, “We named you Kai-Lea Jasmine Tulip Black. Our family name. My sweet child.”
“I love it.” she said as she then hugged her parents. They started to fade as another witch was summoned into the room.
“Mommy, Daddy. Don’t go. Please. I have so many questions. Please don’t leave.” she pleaded with them as tears rolled down her cheeks.
“Oh... our sweet child we love you and while it’s never felt like it truly we have never left you. And are so proud of you.” they said in unison. As they then faded back like they were never there in the first place.
“No! Mommy. Daddy. Don’t leave me. Please.” Kai-Lea's spirit then turned to us and closed her eyes and left just the same.
“Now what do we do?”
“Now, you mark her. And call her forth with her birth name.” the grandmother said.
We nodded, then bit down on our mate's marking spot. “Kai-Lea Jasmine Tulip Black. Please come back to us.” we said in unison.
And surely enough her wounds healed, and she was breathing normally once again. After some checking the doctor said that now she was simply resting and would wake shortly. We thanked the witches.
“However, our involvement doesn’t end here or at all. As she is our niece and her granddaughter. And her cousin.” the mother spoke rather matter of factly.
“As well as the fact that we are going to be working on bringing her parents back. As I have their soul essence inside these pendants they had made for their future children. It's plenty enough to fully return them without going anywhere near black magic, dark magic, or necromancy. I promise my, MY soul on that. And I'm sure you’ve smelled something about me to know that I fully mean that.” Tatiana said. As she was right. White witches or white magic in general has always had a distinct smell. So, if she messed with black magic, dark magic or necromancy, she’d actually be like people think witches are. Which is disfigured and grotesque being. She'd also lose her birthright and magic within a year. But be stuck living forever.
“Also yes, my daughter, Kelly may not be mine biologically. But she is mine as much as anyone of my other children. Meaning her daughter Kai-Lea is my grandchild.”
“Do it. She needs them.” Stuart said.
“She needs you, too.” her cousin said. This time being pointed as to have knowledge of something she shouldn’t.
“What are everyone's names?” I finally asked.
“Finally, as you’ve been thinking that I have said it, when in fact I have not. Carmella, this is my mother Roxanne, My Aunt Kelly’s sister. And of course, my grandmother Cerena, and my Auntie Titana. But you heard that one from the Moon Goddess herself.”
“Thank you. But can you read minds?”
“No, it’s more of an intuition thing that I get with people when they don’t know my name.” Carmella answered. Stuart knew we saw his look of guilt written all over his face. I knew he still wanted to reject her from feeling like a failure. But, I had decided not to. I loved her and I know he does too. I just have to remind him of that before she wakes, and he opens his big mouth. Once the doctor cleared Kai-Lea, she laid back down and rested under supervision for at least the next twenty-four hours. Mostly because she had been in a coma the last six weeks of her life as well as died twice. Once in Stuart’s arms, which is what’s leading to his wanting to reject her. And, again in the operating room. Neither time were we particularly fond of, but Stuart took her death in his arms as a personal failure on his ability to be her mate and protector.
