‘Hurry I'm not alone. Milton is here somehow.’ I informed my mates showing them who I was talking to and looking at.
‘ON OUR WAY!’ they screamed while growling. As Milton lunged at me, I jumped back kicking him in the gut as I did. He continued to attack, as I continued to defend myself. I got us out of the bathroom and into the bedroom. Where I broke the dressers and table on the left wall. I held the upper hand until he swung at me with a knife. One that as it cut me it burned hotter than I'd ever felt. Seeing me falter gave him an opening to the plunge the knife deeper into me. I screamed, “AHHHHHH!” I could feel the ground shake under my scream.
He backed away with fear in his eyes. I took that moment to shift into my wolf and take him down. As I attacked him in my wolf form, he tried to recover the knife, instead I launched into his hand biting it off. As he bled everywhere he then tried to shift, I took off heading towards the safe room, that Mom and Dad made sure I knew the location of in case something went wrong. As I barely made it into the room with the door closed, I heard him howl mostly in pain, but also from anger. I shifted back, laying on the floor on the farthest wall trying to stay awake long enough for my mates to get to me. I held my side where he had stabbed wondering why it wasn’t healing at all. Before I could work up the strength to link my mates I fell unconscious.
‘I can help. I’m going to put us into a deep sleep.’ My wolf said.
‘We can’t until the guys get here.’ I cried through the pain.
‘HURRY. PLEASE. I’M SCARED.’ I shouted through the link.
POV - Stuart
As we ran to the cabin in our wolves, we came upon an assault on the pack by dozen or more rogues. As we felt her pain in her side, not once but twice. The second one being worse of the two, we growled howling in pain. As we couldn’t link our mate our wolves were driven mad and killed anything that came at us. Once we had everything under control, we shifted back reminding our wolves that’s she is in pain and possibly naked. She needed help. ‘Little mate. Answer us. Little mate, what’s happening?’ Kallen anxiously asked her.
‘Little mate?’ I asked just as frantically as he did. All the silence did was worried and anger us and our wolves. As we made our way into the Packhouse, we followed the sound of growling only to find Milton’s wolf in front of us trying to get into the wall for the safe room. He was limping on three paws as you could clearly see his right paw was missing and still bleeding. He turned to us, and we shifted, as he charged at us our wolves tore him apart. As my wolf Aztec ripped into his throat, as my brother's wolf Amaruq ripped into his guts. He shifted into his human form as he died. We shifted back to get to our mate who was still not responding to us over link, as well as in severe pain. We got into the safe room, seeing our mate naked covered in blood. And in unconscious state had us dropping to our knees next to her. As I grabbed her to me, I realized we couldn’t hear her heart. We roared in pain causing her body to jolt but only partially and enough to get her heart going but only slightly.
“Sons, move aside and let the medical team get to her.” Our Father said. He and Uncle Sheldon pulled me while Wade and his father pulled Kallen away. We fought not because we didn’t want her to get help, but from our mate being naked in front of other males. Being our unmated and unmarked mate. Unfortunately, the medical team wouldn’t be able to help her with two very angry, Alphas breathing down their necks. Once they got to her stable, we moved her to the medical wing of the pack Packhouse. However, she went into shock again this time causing swelling in her skull. The doctor then puts her into a medically induced coma.
“Alpha. Alphas, Luna. We umm... I have no good news I'm afraid. The young Luna is not responding to treatment. We have been analyzing the wound. But without the weapon used we are afraid that at this current moment we may lose the young Luna.” she said as Kallen, and I moved to stand by our mate.
“WE CAN’T LOSE HER.” we roared grabbing the doctor up by his arms pinning him against the wall.
“We know boys.” Mom said coming over to calm us down to put down the doctor to help Kai-Lea.
“Find me that weapon.” Dad growled an order at the warriors he’d linked to meet us in the hospital. They wasted no time and looked for the weapon that had harmed their future Luna. We were pissed off at ourselves as she was only there doing that for us. We never pushed her to talk about that or even suggested that we were in a hurry to do that. She instantly became our whole world, but she grew to be our best friend and our mate. We laughed, had fun, did things together, learned things about each other that make us who we are to each other. We couldn’t nor did we EVER want to imagine our lives without our loving, kind and strong mate. She had to pull through.
