POV – Kaitlyn
I woke up extra, extra early just to find out if my plan had worked or if by some chance she was still seen as worth their effort. Only to find them waking up to off her bedroom floor finding that Kai-Lea was gone from the room, with her bed made. They showered and got ready to head to their training building. I watched angry that my plan to split up Kai-Lea and the twins hadn’t worked.
‘THAT SHOULD HAVE FUCKING WORKED. SHE IS A MUTT. IDIOTIC LITTLE MUTT, WHY DIDN’T THAT WORK?’ I growled at my wolf. Why didn’t it work. I mean come on. She isn’t fucking worth it. I thought to myself a for a moment.
‘Maybe she needs an extra push. Or a threat?’ my wolf Dasha told me.
‘No, we need to try something else. Something more. We need something that will send her over the edge.” As I had decided I had a better idea in mind. I’d help find a way to let Milton take her for his own. And if not Milton there had to be someone who wanted that Flea bag Mutt just as much.
I knew that with the twins father being over training for everyone else for at least the next month, at least maybe longer. And after yesterday’s announcement now included every single high school aged pack member, freshmen to senior classes, that I wasn’t getting out of training. The ones that weren’t already a part of training groaned and tried to plead with their father about it. However, he simply stated that since they were so willingly ready to humiliate their future Luna over something that they didn’t have all the facts about. They knew would be seen as disrespectful and considered as insubordination. Then they were to be just as humiliated as she was. Eventually I watched as they gave up and dealt with it. They even apologized to Kai-Lea for their part in the incident. She told them that she wishes they’d have had more respect for their Alphas than to believe halve truths, instead of coming to them.
This angered me more as why should they give two shits about what she thinks of them. A Luna Queen would never have allowed herself to be in that position in the first place. And even if she had she would have handled it with more grace that what Kai-Lea had.
We were told that Karrin and Cal were given a different kind of punishment on top of having to train every day with the warriors which was no fun. They also were told that for the two semesters that neither would be in class more than to get the particulars and the homework, without a guard. That they weren’t to be spoken to. Which kind of sucked. Rumors spread that Karrin and Cal told them that Kallen and Stuart shouldn’t have broken up with them. That their lineage makes for a better Alpha family for Kallen and Stuart. To which Kallen and Stuart told them that was never even a thought to them. That they were so stupid to even entertain the idea of such a thing to happen. Karrin vowed to get revenge on Kai-Lea for stealing them from her. Which earned her time in solitary and a few extra punishments for two weeks.
This gave me another idea, call hedging my bets, if you will. I could get someone to try and help Karrin. Maybe helping her get that revenge could come in very handy. But finding the right person to help was going to be something. But I know I’m up to the task. But first now that I can leave my signal for Miltons helper, Amber-rose.
“What’s up?” she asked finally making it to our private spot.
“It didn’t work. She and them are more connected than ever. They even have her training in their private training building. So, we are going to have to kick things up a notch.”
“What do you have in mind?” she asked.
“Well, first how badly does Milton want her back? And then we also need to find a way to break someone out of the Royal Green Mountain’s prison. She wants payback and can help us. All we have to do is get her out.” I smiled.
“I can work on that last part. And as for Milton, really, really bad. He’ll do anything.”
“Good.” I said smiling even more than before.
“Then we have a plan.”

POV – third party
A YEAR AND FOUR MONTHS LATER…
Things seemed to get back to normal. In fact, it had become so normal that Kallen, Stuart, Kai-Lea, Wade, Tobais and many more were just a few months and two weeks away from graduating. And Kai-Lea was in the running for becoming the valedictorian of their class which was scary. Just not all the surprising as she was taking twice as many classes as the rest of them. And they were taking eight classes each semester. But once Kai-Lea found out just how truly smart she was she wasn’t letting anything hold her back. And everyone was cheering her on, they’d also started taking her on dates and kissing her more than on the cheek. They’d even talked with her about mating and marking her after graduation. She was finally let go of thinking she was someone’s property. And there was nothing going to stop her from moving forward as long as they had something to say about it. The spy didn’t take too kindly to that information but knew he needed to bide their time. A wait for the right moment to take her for their purposes.
