POV – Kai-Lea
“Yes, if you tell me how you know what you know. Spill or we aren’t breaking till dinner.”
“Fine let’s keep going.” I said.
“You’re not going to get into trouble. Just tell me.”
“I watched you guys last night when you three sneaked away here. You, happy?” I told him. Not fully telling him that I was hiding in a shed with Gussie and Chellea.
“Very. That means that after dinner we can move on to some harder moves. While you are the Luna, you shouldn’t have to fight. We all know that there are going to be times where the need for such a skill is necessary. Also, we prefer people to have the skills and never use them.” He said, “Alright let's go eat lunch.”
“Thank you, Moon Goddess. I don’t think I could have handled falling on my ass one more time.”
“Falling is the easy part. When in a fight with someone who is constantly throwing you to the ground, it’ll be easier to bounce back up and take your shots because your body is used to the pain of hitting the ground.” He explained as we headed back to the pack house. It was nice to know that I was going to be able to handle myself in a fight.
We went back to school on Monday, it was pure crap. Between the pain that I was in from training all weekend long to walking to school this morning. Everyone was giving me sour faces, heck I was giving me sour faces. But I was training.
As we walked into school together everyone stopped and stared at us. Kinda of like they did when I first got here, but more like there was something on my face. Just before lunch I was in the girls' restroom when I was approached by two pack members.
“So how does it feel to be bought for Luna services? I bet the twins have such a sweet time with you in the bedroom.” Karrin said.
“I bet it sucks knowing that you’ll never be able to be with your fated mate ever.” Cal spat.
“You don’t know what you are talking about.”
“I mean it must be nice to be worth five grand to the Alpha twins.” Karrin said as I stopped for a second before leaving and headed to lunch.
Not acknowledging what she said was eating at me. ‘I never thought about that when they told me that I'm their fated mate. They wouldn’t lie to me would they. I'm not property to them. I’m their fated mate, right?’ My wolf whined at me.
‘Of course, we are. Those skanks are just jealous.’ she growled.
“Gussie, would the guys lie to me? About... you know what, never mind.” I asked Gussie to catch her at her locker. Before making my way to the cafeteria. I felt stupid. Really stupid, I wasn’t special to them. They didn’t even bother to kiss me on anything but the cheek.
“Is everything alright?” she asked with a worried expression on her face. More I’m stupid.
“Yeah. I just let something get to me a little bit. It's stupid, forget I asked.” I told her then headed around the corner.
“Hey, you alright? You seem upset.” Kallen asked as he caught up with me in line.
“It’s fine. It’s nothing.” I said as he kissed my cheek. Making things worse as he was proving the issue. He looked like he was going to ask again but got a mind link from someone. I just got my tray and finished my day. I stayed quiet because asking them or bringing up that I was their property hurt me. It was eating me that I was just property to them. I mean really, I couldn’t expect to go from a pack slave to a Luna without there being something up with it all. I really am stupid. ‘No, you are not. They are our fated mates. Now stop.’ my wolf growled at me before retreating into the recesses of my mind. she was angry with me but knew what I was feeling and partially understood.

I set the marker up to see if my spy was needing to talk. And sure enough, she had news.
“So, the tip about Alpha King Enwell buying her Flea from your Uncle at Black Moon, was gold. But I feel I need more.” She told me.
“How is everyone taking the news that their newly arrived future Luna was bought?” I asked.
“Some are thinking twice about talking with her freak ass. I mean truly, it was gold. I do have two skanks about to make some rather egregious statements to her. If they haven’t already. She will question their ‘bond’ herself.”
“Well, then give them a little extra help with those statements, if you will. Milton and his buddies used to love using toys, you know, on her. Have them use that info when they talk to her.” I told her. Grossed out that my cousin actually touched her.
“I can do that.”
“Good. Put out the signal out if you need anything. Or could use anything. Remember I’m extremely well-funded able to aid you in your endeavor.”
“Got it.” She said, making more curious as to what her goal was with all this. If my cousin gets his way and gets this freakshow back then it wasn’t like the twins were going to amount to anything. Everyone she has made friends with will end up dead.
POV – Kai-Lea
The next day started out much simpler than yesterday, but that was until I had my only class without the twins.
“So, how is it being the chosen Luna to the future Alpha twins of the most prestigious pack, The Royal wolf pack? I mean really has to suck.” Karrin asked me as she sat next to me in class. Which just so happened to be the only class I have without Wade or anyone else I thought I could trust.
“You know they were our boyfriends before you got here. And we were on track to be co-Lunas. Which is unheard of outside of identical sisters. But they were willing to make exceptions with us. But then the Alpha found someone for them to share it with. I mean really the chances of you being their fated mate, come on. Get real. You are a pack slave formally known as Flea Doe. And in line to be future Alpha Milton’s concubine. I mean, after Milton and his buddies used to have all kinds of fun using toys on you. I mean that has to be hard to know that toys were used before and now it’s taking two Alphas and bet Beta Wade joins in on the fun. So, do you really think you are their fated mate?” she asked in a low tone that only wolves could hear. Thus, keeping herself getting into trouble for talking during class.
“Miss Cartwright, may I be excused?” I asked raising my hand.
“Of course.” She answered she was obviously human and sweet. But couldn’t help me with what was going on and right now I needed that. It has been some time since I was moved here, and we are so close to finishing up the year, so this was petty. But part of me was believing them.
“Karrin, Cal go with her. Make sure she is alright?” Miss Cartwright suggested not knowing that they are the problem.
“Sure thing.” they said as they followed me out.
I ran to the restroom crying, I hated thinking about the things they did to me at Black Moon. But somehow Karrin and Cal knew. And there is no telling who told them those things. I mean Kallen nor Stuart has made so much as move towards that. They kiss me on the cheek never on the lips. Maybe they were wanting to do those things after the school year ended, or maybe after we graduate before heading off to college. I feel like my worst fear was coming true and there was nothing I could do to stop it. As I closed the stall door, I heard Karrin say, “I mean it must suck to be worth just five thousand dollars. And to know that your true fated mate is out there somewhere but you can never be with them. That has to suck. I mean being a mate to someone is supposed to be so special and romantic.”
“Yeah, that has to suck.” Cal agreed. Leaving me alone in the bathroom as the bell rang for lunch. Twice in as many days do they berate me, while we are in here. I clean my face up and head to lunch. I don’t get so much as I had lost what little appetite I had to begin with. Even with Mom and Dad having gotten me to eat several small meals throughout the day instead of trying for larger meals three times a day. Kind of like a diabetic. But more because the doctor said that my stomach needed to expand on its own instead of in a rush causing me problems down the road. Not that they were upset with me or this arrangement, just that they worried about me not eating at all. Or so I thought, now I wasn’t so sure.
