15.

POV - Kallen
“Yep.” His Father confirmed.
“Son. Don’t beat yourself. Mistakes are what make us stronger. Being a warrior means learning from our mistakes and coming out stronger and smarter.”
“Yes, Sir.”
“In other words, use what happened as a way to teach me how to defend myself.” Kai-Lea said, getting everyone’s attention. She was serious and looked freaked out.
“You’re awake.” Wade said sounding shocked she’d want anything to do with him.
“I’m fine. A little bruised up.” she said.
“I’m sorry Luna.” Wade said. Kai-Lea walked over to him hugging him. And normal Alphas would have growled or gave him a warning look, we knew that wasn’t necessary.
“Don’t be. If anyone should be it's me. Not only do I not know how to fight. But I’m the reason that they attacked us. I’m sorry Alpha, Luna.” she said not knowing if they felt the same way about her.
“Don’t be, like you told Wade. And no ma’am, little lady it’s Mom and Dad, remember.” Mom said walking over to her.
“Yes, Ma’am.” she said with a small smile, while rubbing her neck. The bruises were still there but the open wounds themselves had healed completely. She looked like she was wanting to go back to the days where she was quiet and wanted to be ignored.
“And on the subject of not knowing how to fight. My sons and Wade are in charge of training you in weapons, hand-to-hand and in fighting while in wolf.” Dad told her.
“When do we start?” she said sounding excited and nervous.
“Tomorrow. Right now, you need to rest. And it’s Friday we both know you like to get homework done before anything else.” I said. “Also, we are going to have to switch our days around. We can still walk two days a week.”
“No, we should drive from now on. I don’t want to be a risk to the pack or you.” she said freaked back out over the thought of getting some hurt.
“No, you enjoy the ability to walk to and from school. All we are doing is changing what days we do it. We won’t be scheduling it anymore. But it will happen at least twice a week.”
“Only if you’re sure about it.” She said.
“Absolutely.” We said.
Soon our pack house was either flooded by our classmates and the parents or just pack members in general. All wanting to help Kai-Lea feel better. As they felt her fear and pain. We felt pride in our pack. They felt enough of her sadness that they wanted to do something about it, to help. The rest of the night was calm and relaxed, which I think everyone needed. But, my brother, Wade and myself needed it the most. Once everyone was asleep Wade, Stuart, and I went to our private training building and got to work beating the crap out of each other to let the anger and frustration out.
“When you train Kai-Lea you’re going to have to start with the basics. So, start from the bottom and work your way up.”
“Sounds good.” Wade said in between guzzling his Gatorade. We looked at the clock on the wall as it read 2:33 am. We had an hour before we had to be up for training anyways, so we decided to shower and eat something small.
“She can’t train with us until she knows what she’s doing simply because we could hurt her. And THAT will not happen.”

POV – Kai-Lea
“When you train Kai-Lea you’re going to have to start with the basics. So, start from the bottom and work your way up.” I heard them tell Wade. He acted like he already knew this.
“Sounds good.” I heard Wade say, in between guzzling his Gatorade, which told me that they still didn’t know that I’d followed them to watch them train with each other. I’d been doing this for about a week now. As Stuart and Kallen would leave from my room at night and not go to their room. First time, I thought it was something else entirely, but quickly found it was just them being responsible Alpha males.
“She can’t train with us until she knows what she’s doing simply because we could hurt her.” Kallen said, giving Wade a knowing look. I saw that it was 2:33 and decided I would head to the shed that I had found with Chellea and Gussie waiting. They had told me to stop calling them by their full names and use their nicknames. Saying that it made me sound like their Mom and that they were in trouble.
“Why do we have to be up before the sun comes up again?” Gussie asked sounding groggy and half asleep.
“Because I need your help. I’m not having the guys train me to look like a fool in front of everyone. I want to at least look like I know something about what I’m doing.” I explained.
“But you’re not meant to. They know you weren’t allowed to do any of this type of stuff before. They know what to expect.” She said.
“Not to mention, I don’t think you’ll even be training with everyone else. Those three are something else, they train by themselves for hours before training with the pack. That’s why they are as big as they are.”
“Still. Please.”
“Fine. But you owe us big time, Sis. And we’re talking at least two shopping trips, paid for by you.”
“Sure, whatever you want within reason.”
“Alright let’s get this started.” Gussie showed me how to hold a fist while Chellea showed me how to throw a punch with a proper stance. Then we moved onto kicking without breaking my leg. About an hour later we headed back inside to shower and head to the real training. As the Alpha’s daughters they had been required to train at least once a week since they were five. I wish I had been training that long, it could have come in handy back at Black Moon. Maybe they would have used me as a warrior instead of a pack slave. Maybe then life would have been easier. Or maybe not I’d probably be dead by now. Which with having lived here for six months is a thought I’d really rather not think about. I have been loving living here and refuse to give it up for anything.
“Alright get to work everyone. Kai-Lea, come with us.” Kallen ordered all the others to get training, as he, Wade, and Stuart escorted me to their private training building.
“This is where we will be training you, until you feel ready to train in front of others.” Stuart told me.
“Thank you. I don’t want to look like a fool.”
“You won’t but we understand.” Kallen said, kissing me on the cheek. “Wade, don’t hurt her.”
“Not today.” He said, which caused a growl from the twins and an eye roll from me. After an hour of stretching and running around the building, he finally started the basics of fighting. We started just like I had with Gussie and Chellea. He was surprised and even tried asking me how I knew what I did. I dodged his questions as I didn’t want to get anyone in trouble. After another two hours of training with Wade I was ready to fall on my ass and stay there. Granted it wasn’t like I hadn’t fallen on my ass a hundred times or more. I knew my backside was going to be bruised. But this time it was by choice of learning how to defend myself.
“Wade can we stop for lunch please….” I groaned out.
