“Hello, my sweet, kind, caring, strong, brave mates. This is our date.” Nodding her head letting the warriors know that it was safe leave the area. They moved out further to give us space, each with their own bright smiles.
“You did all this?” we asked in unison.
“With a little help.” She said with the brightest smile we’d ever seen on her face. We sat and ate. As we took turns feeding her some of our food, we talked about growing up. We talked about the antics we used to get into at school. And explained why, Mrs. Cur thanked her. She talked to us about her hopes and dreams. She told us that while she had us, always held hope for finding her birth family and getting to know them. She shared her fears. We’d never felt more connected to our mate than we were during this entire date. Her wolf even told us about the other souls Little mate held and how she has more mates out there. We told her we knew somehow and were more than fine as it meant she’d be happy and fulfilled.
Just after dessert she asked us to stand together next to one another where she pulled out two boxes. And said, “I know that we aren’t humans, and this is completely cheesy, but would you lovely men please do me the honor of marrying me?”
We grabbed her up, practically suffocated her as we said yes in between our kisses. We took turns spinning her around. She giggled the entire time. We opened the boxes and saw the manliest stoic rings ever for the two of us. We were going to treasure these rings till our dying breath.
“I know that I've got to get more, for the other mates that my other souls have. But I wanted to make it up you for how I acted with the Karrin and Cal issue.” She said still feeling that she owed us an explanation for why she felt the way she did.
“Little Mate, you are full of surprises. You didn’t have to do any of this. Nor do you have anything to make up for.” We told her.
“I know. But I wanted to make it up to you and show you two what you mean to me.” She said with yet another bright smile.
We talked about more. We talked about different little things that we each wanted to do for the pack. Even made plans to go looking for her other mates during the summer, before we go off to college, and search during every summer until they were found. The mention of college made Kai-Lea smile even more, as she always thought and was told she was stupid. That she wasn’t smart enough to do or be anything. But she is so much intelligent than anyone else we’ve ever met. She had gotten grants and scholarships, giving her a full ride to two colleges. Which she was dead set on being duel enrolled. Getting third one made her triply enrolled. To which she was even more excited. Even though we told her she didn’t have to do.
She insisted as she told us that her dream was to help create a safe place for girls like her to go. That even from different packs she wanted them to be able to have a place that could help them see that there is good and hope in the world. That people do care what happens to them. She told us about the time she was beaten so bad that it took her three months to regain connection to her wolf. And how she had she not gotten the connection back when she did she wouldn’t be here. Which earned her a growl from both us and our wolves. She giggled and said that she couldn’t imagine doing that now. But the pain of back then had gotten to her. And that she outside of us so far had more happiness in her life than she ever thought possible and wouldn’t trade it for the world. Causing our wolves to even sound like lovesick puppies.
To which we were more than happy with.
This night was more than memorable, it was officially our favorite. After everything was gone as the night ended we walked her back to the house, her hands were in the bend of our elbows while we carried her shoes for her heading back. When the smell of rogues hit us. “RUN!” we accidentally used our Alpha tone on her. But she looked at both of us with understanding as she took off running. While she had been training. She was still in her dress, and we didn’t want her perfectly planned night ruined. We stripped off our tuxes as fast as we could, as we were wanting to save them and keep them as keepsakes.
Once she made it inside, we then took care of the mongrels that threatened her. Having already taken our suits off we shifted into our wolves as these bastards had interrupted our night with our mate. Warriors from patrol met up with us and the rogues. I lunged at one of the closer rogues grabbing it by the scruff with my jaw then swung him into a tree. My brother then got someone around their jaw and bit down hard killing the rogue. Two more came at each of us. I slashed into one with my paw opening up its stomach. Then rammed right into the other shoving into a tree. Tearing into them until they were dead, or unconscious was the easy part. The hard part was finding out who is willing to betray the pack. After my brother knocked the last one out after we forced them to shift back.
We were pissed as this was the second time that this many rogues had made it too far into our territory. After clean-up was conducted, we were going to get with Dad, Wade and his father and hunt down whoever was letting these filthy disgusting mutts onto our land and why. Wade, his father and two of our Uncle’s had managed to subdue enough of them for questioning. As the clean-up was underway we ordered them the to be pumped full of wolfsbane and silver, with no food or water until we got our answers. We were covered in blood by the end of it. She came out of the house once we were given the ‘all clear’, she looks so upset.
