POV – Kai-Lea

I woke up sometime later to find Stuart nowhere in sight nor any of his clothes. I moved trying not to wake Kallen. Not that it worked, as I moved he pulled me right back to him. “Where do you think you’re going, little mate?” he said gruffly, while looking like a bed monster.
“To go shower and change.” I told him, kissing his cheek. “I like the way you smell. Now everyone can know you belong to me and my brother.” “As the two of you belong to me. But we both need a shower.” I said with a seducing tone, “And some clean clothes.” We climbed out of bed, and I was wrapped up in the sheet while he was using the blanket, and we made our way upstairs.
“You do know the entire pack house heard you three?” Dad was telling Stuart as we made our way to our floor.
“Yes, we are.” he said knowing full well that all red as could be, “But we are marked and fully mated with one another now. So, I could care less.”
“Good,” he replied.
“I never want to hear my brothers moaning EVER again.” Rachellea said coming out of her room.
“Neither do I. Got it. That also goes for hearing Kai-Lea, too. That was an assault on our ears.” Gustava said joining in on the conversation.
“I’m glad. And I never hear either of you two moan. So, right back at you.”
“I hope you two were gentle with her as that was her first time.” Mom said, making her presence known.
“They were the perfect gentlemen.” I said, answering for him.
“Good.”
“I’m going to go shower and get dressed for the day.” I told no one in particular, but hoped Stuart heard what I was saying. “You two need to do that separately, as we have guests that would like to introduce themselves again to you, Kai-Lea.” Mom said ruining the thought that all three of us were having as now even I was bummed. But we all went our separate ways to shower and dress for the day. Once down in the dining room, we all ate breakfast and talked with my cousin, Aunts, and Grandmother. Who was happy to see that I was up and well. My cousin wasn’t much older than I am, thought to be at least I think.
“So, all we need is for the sun to be at its peak and some more of your blood as you are their child.” my Grandmother told us. At least I think that’s who she is. She’s my mom’s stepsister’s mother. At least from what I’ve gathered.
“Ok. Let’s get this started.” I said I was full of excitement. Getting to meet my parents for the first time while a ghost wasn’t what I'd hoped it would be and really had hoped that they were somewhere out there alive. Finding out they died as I was born bothered me, as was I really that worth it. Giving up their lives for me, for a newborn. Didn’t they know that they could have more children had they lived?
“We still have some time before the sun is in position and that is the main part of this as the sun brings forth life, in ways that the Moon simply can’t. And to bring someone back, especially being two someone's, we need the sun’s help.” my cousin told me.
“Well, what happened that got them killed?”
“There was an attack on your birth pack. And your mother hid as she was still pregnant at the time of the attack. From what your uncle on your father's side says, your father left the battlefield because he felt his mate in pain and was more or less ordered to go to her. However, as he reached her they were attacked together. The people behind the attack weren’t letting up, as there apparently were some dark witches involved. And one of the wolves tore into your mothers stomach. Forcing her into labor, as you were born they finally killed them. He got to her in time to pull you out. But it was thought a rogue had, um... well eaten your corpse after killing them and you. As there was no evidence that you were alive.”
“So, I was kidnapped as a newborn from my dead parents' arms. By whom? I saw a glimpse of this when the Goddess sent us back to that moment for them to name me, but I didn’t see past their last breath. They were in each other’s arms. And covered in so much blood. I was mortified. Why was I the cause of the attack?”
“We don’t know, past that. I’m sorry. Your Uncle Sawyer could probably tell you more.”
“How do I reach him?”
“Well, the pack is under a new name and is close by. It's the Gray Lake Pack.”
“I always thought that pack was simply new. I never thought that their original name was Silver Moon Pack. I mean that pack was the largest pack here on this side of the hemisphere. And to find out that it’s not only still in existence, but it's our neighbors.” Mom said as she was shocked by the information.
