“This is incredible,” Stuart said quietly, his voice full of wonder. “I’ve never felt or seen anything like it.”
I nodded, feeling the magic of the place settle over us. “Kai-Lea your eyes are glowing Gussie said turning to face me.”
“It’s not just hers. Look Kallen’s and Stuart’s are too.”
“It’s this place. It’s charging us. Like a battery. It feels natural like we were meant to come here or something.” I said. I could feel that being here like this was meant to happen. Like it is meant to help us in the future.
We moved throughout the caves a for a little while longer. It seemed only natural for us here. After getting to know more about my family after everything that happened I learned that we are believed to be part of the Moon Goddesses bloodline. I, however, know this to be true. She told me herself while I was in her world. I am a great times unknown grandchild to the Moon Goddess. This cave feels like it’s a barrier to her realm or at least to the power of her realm. And them being my mates is what was charging them here inside the cave like me.
“Ok. So are you done charging. Can we please go find a club to dance and fun in.” Felicity asked.
“Yes, come on.” I shook my head. It was amazing. “I’ve never had a group not get lost down there without a guide. The caves are connected to at least one of your group.” The operator of the guided tours of the caves. Being Royal Green Mountain pack members had its perks for not having to abide by the usual need of a guide.
“Yes, well I just wanted to see it in it’s natural state if that’s ok.”
“Of course. I’m glad you enjoyed.” He told us. I didn’t want to let on that I am in fact the bloodline of the Moon Goddess, or that my mates and I gain something from being in the caves. Having calmed our eyes down.
Kallen’s eyes sparkled as he took it all in. “The Lunar Gardens feels like its own little secret world.” He said before opening a private link between Suart and myself. ‘We need to come back here once we’ve found your other mates, Sweetheart. There is something about being here with you that I think they could benefit from as well.’
‘I was actually going to ask just that.’ I told them before, “The clubs are further down in the mountain. Come on.”
We continued further into the caves, the soft pulse of music beginning to drift toward us, echoing through the tunnels. Just up ahead, the faint glow of lights marked where the first clubs were nestled within the caves themselves, hidden between garden beds and rock formations. The idea of stepping into a club surrounded by glowing flowers and ancient moonlit stones sent a thrill through me.
I turned to my friends, grinning. “This is where the fun really begins.”
“Wow. This is really awesome,” Tobias marveled, his eyes scanning the glowing flowers that stretched out like stars in the Lunar Gardens. Creating a rave like party affect for the clubs.
“I thought you'd all like it once we got past the flowers,” I teased, smirking at their stunned expressions. The soft glow of the petals flickered behind us, casting strange shadows that seemed to dance with the music. Without another word, I grabbed Kallen's and Stuart's hands, dragging them toward the nearest dance floor. “Now come on!”
The beat pulsed through the air, heavy and intoxicating, pulling at our bodies like a magnetic force. The floor was already packed with people, bodies swaying in sync with the pounding rhythm. A kaleidoscope of lights flashed overhead, twisting around us, and the energy was electric, contagious.
We hit the dance floor, and in an instant, the world outside blurred. Kallen spun me in a circle, his grip firm yet playful, while Stuart laughed, his deep chuckle vibrating in my chest as he pulled me back into a twirl of his own. We moved in unison, our feet shifting in sync with the music, bodies feverishly lost to the beat.
Around us, everyone was lost in their own whirl of motion. Glasses of glowing drinks were passed between hands, laughter echoing under the neon-lit sky. The energy was palpable, wild, as if the Lunar Gardens themselves had come to life, feeding off the wild celebration.
I caught a glimpse of Kallen as he grabbed a drink mid-spin, lifting it in a mock toast before taking a sip, his blue eyes twinkling. Stuart had already slipped into the frenzy, his movements smooth yet deliberate, the perfect contrast to Kallen’s playful abandon.
“Drink!” someone shouted, thrusting a glowing glass into my hand. The liquid shimmered with an iridescent hue, a mix of sparkling colors that danced like the flowers themselves. I didn’t hesitate, tipping the glass back, the cool, crisp taste a shock against the heat of the moment.
Kallen laughed, spinning me again as the crowd pressed closer, bodies moving faster, the rhythm speeding up. Stuart pulled me back between them, their arms enveloping me as we danced harder, faster. The music reached a fever pitch, the ground beneath us vibrating with every beat.
We were caught in a whirlwind of movement—dancing, spinning, laughing, and drinking—until the world seemed to blur, a perfect storm of energy and bliss. The night stretched on, the party a living, breathing entity, and we were lost in its pulse.
This was definitely the way to start the trip. I couldn’t wait to see what else this trip had in store for us. The memories alone that we would be creating. I will cherish for eternity.
Finally coming down from the high of being on the dance floor all night we finally made it back to the RVs and headed to a local hotel to rest up and get ready for our next stop. Kallen and Stuart practically took turns carrying me to the RV and hotel room. It was sweet. Once our heads hit the pillows were out.
