Chapter 46

Tank

Lilly doesn’t know I overheard part of the conversation between her and Merigold the other day. The part of her wanting kids but was scared.I will help her overcome her fears and make her dreams come true. Merigold is right. She will have plenty of help. I will be with her every step of the way. I haven’t really given thought to having kids. I never saw them in my future. But I never saw myself having an ol’e lady. But I have one and I couldn’t be happier. Now that I have heard that Lilly wants to have kids. Not just any kids but she pictured having my kids. She said she would like to have some little Tanks running around. Now I can’t seem to get that picture out of my head. I can see her belly growing bigger as our baby grows. I see myself going out and getting her latest craving. Rubbing her feet after a long day. Holding her hand and encouraging her as she brings our child into the world. Listening to the baby’s first cries. Hell, I even look forward to sleepless nights. I just didn’t realize until Lilly said something. Now I look forward to having that in my near future.

I have had the guys helping get the house ready for Lilly and Harley. It is finally done and after my meeting with Viper I’m taking Lilly out to see it. Not only that but I’m taking her on her first ride on my bike. I can’t wait to have her arms wrapped around me while we ride. It will be the first time she has been on a bike period and I’m excited to see how she reacts. I hope she enjoys it because I plan to do it often. I might even get a sidecar for Harley. I don’t know how but Ace managed to get a kutte made for Harley to wear. I never thought I would say this about a dog but he looks darn cute with it on. And I swear he stands taller with pride when he wears it.

The meeting with Viper is about Lilly’s stalker. Goof was doing some recon at the bar where one of the guys who tried to kidnap Lilly hangs out. After finding a pattern we find out the guy will be there tomorrow. We are making plans to grab him so we can interrogate him. We need to know who he is working for. I need this to end so Lilly can have peace of mind. And so we can start our lives without looking over our shoulder all the time. The plan is for Goof to go in first since he has been seen around the bar often enough it won’t raise suspicion. Ace and Thor are going in when we get confirmation that the guy is there. Viper and I will be waiting outside. Viper in front me at the back to make sure this guy doesn’t get away. We are leaving our kuttes off so we don’t spook the guy.

With that plan in place we go over the security measures we made for the concert. It is hard to believe it is just a week away.With help from Caspers crew we have every area of the bar covered. One of our prospects is helping cover the door. One of Casper’s prospects covering the back exits. One prospect from each club covering each end of the bar. One patch member from each club covering either end of the stage. Plus guys from each club scattered around the bar. I am grateful for Casper’s help. We have more than enough people to make sure that Lilly would be safe.

The only thing Casper asked in return for his help was to see this concert we were so set on having security for. We told him he would have a VIP seat with us. He did ask what was so important about this concert. We decided to keep him in the dark and let him see for himself. If I hadn’t seen Lilly perform with my own eyes I wouldn’t have believed it. So we are doing the same with Casper. I can’t wait to see his face. We are just about to wrap up our meeting when my phone rings. I forgot to put it on silent and the ringtone ‘ My Girl’ goes off. Lilly is calling even though she should be sitting at the bar where I left her. I know the guys are going to give me shit about the ring tone. I don’t care. I’m more concerned as to why Lilly is calling. Viper nods for me to answer it. I put it on speaker. “ Sweetheart, is everything alright?” “ Yea, I think so. Are you still with Viper?” Lilly asks. “ Yes, I am.” “ That’s what I thought. I just had a prospect tell me you wanted to see me in your room. But it didn’t sit right with me. Even Harley growled at him. I think it is something we need to check out.” Lilly says. “ Sit tight. I’ll be right there.” She is right. Something is off.Viper stands up and motions for me to go with him following.
