Chapter 69

Lilly

I had promised Tank I wouldn’t freak out when Constintine picked me up but it was hard.When he picked me up with his nasty hands it took everything in me not to vomit. And when I heard Brit ordering Silvey around I was pissed. I can’t believe she would be such a cold hearted bitch. But I did what Tank told me to. I stayed still pretending to be knocked out praying that this would be over soon. When I heard Constatine say he would shoot anyone who got in his way I wanted to call this whole thing off. I don’t want anyone to get hurt because of me. I hear a voice that sounds like Goof say “ Lilly, just stay calm. We have you.” but I couldn’t tell where the voice was coming from. There is too much going on for me to pinpoint it. But it was nice to hear and helped calm me.

I feel us moving since Constatine is carrying me but I don’t know where we are going. I know the guys said they were going to try to corral them to where they wanted. But I don’t think the club took into consideration that these two psycho’s would have guns. That makes them even more dangerous and desperate than before. I hear heels running on the tile floor and know Brit is right behind us. “ Stop right there. You aren’t taking Lilly anywhere.” Viper says. The way he echoes I can tell we must be in a deserted hallway. “ That is where you are wrong. I need her for the money. And I will get it at any cost. It should have been my money but my fucked up brother left it to his worthless kid. Since I can’t get it I will sell her fat ass and you aren’t going to stop me.” I hear a shot ring out and I can’t help but scream.

“ Put her down.” I hear Tank yell. I breathe a sigh of relief. But was Viper hurt? “ Tanky, why are you doing this? Let him take her. Maybe we can get some money out of the deal. You don’t need Lilly. With her out of the way we can be together. Just like it is supposed to be.” Brit says. Wow she is nuts. “ Brit I don’t know how many times or different ways I can tell you this. You and I will never be together. Lilly is who I want. She is who bares my mark. Who will wear my kutte and ring. She is who will carry my kids. Not you. It has never been and never will be you. Get that through your head.” Tank says. I know we are in a dangerous situation here but I can’t help but smile. That’s my Tank. “ NO. YOU ARE MINE. And once Lilly is gone you will see that. Don’t you see Lilly has turned you against me. When she is gone and used up you will see the truth. “ Brit yells. I hear stomping coming from different directions. “ Police. Drop the guns and release the girl.”

“ No. I need her.” Constantine yells. I’m dropped to the floor and land on my side with a thud. I can’t stop the yelp I let out as pain courses through me. “ You can’t have her. I need her. I will get my money. “ The next thing I hear is shouts and gunshots bouncing off the walls. I do the only thing I can think of and curl up in a ball and cover my head. I hear a grunt near me and the clicking of metal. “ You are under arrest for attempted kidnapping, possesion of a fire arm and sex trafficking.You have the right to remain silent. Please ignore that right so I have a reason to hit you again.” I hear Brit screaming “ Get off me. I had nothing to do with this. I was just here for Tank.” I hear the click of metal again but a little further away. “ You are under arrest as an acomplice to kidnapping and sex trafficking. Please use your right to remain silent because I can’t stand the sound of your voice.” “ No. It wasn’t me. Tell them Tank. I had nothing to do with it.” Brit pleads. “ Even if I wanted to which I don’t, I couldn’t because everything you said was caught on tape.”

I feel arms wrap around me “ Lilly sweetheart are you ok? Did you get hurt?” I lean into Tank and breathe him in. “ No, I don’t think so. Just sore from hitting the floor.” Tank picks me up and cradles me to his chest. “ Good but when we get you back to bed I’m having Silvey check you out. “ “ As long as you stay with me I have no problem with that.” Tank chuckles “ No way am I leaving your side.” “ Just the way I like it.” I murmur. “Wait, where is Viper. Is he ok? I heard shots. Where is everyone else? Where is Goof and Lug and uncle Ace.” I feel myself start to panic after all that has happened. I need to know they are safe. “ We are all good. Let Tank take you to the room and we will be there when we wrap this mess up.” Viper says from somewhere close almost like he is in my ear. I just nod suddenly, very tired. “ Tank, we are going to need a statement from your lady there.” someone I’m assuming a cop says. “ Tomorrow you can have it. She is still recovering from surgery.” Tank says. “ No problem. Either come to the station or call me and I can come to you.” Tank doesn’t say anything else, just walks away taking me to my room. I’m overjoyed that this is over with.
