CHAPTER 22: ACKNOWLEDGEMENT BANQUET

Krystal was very agile when she woke up in the morning despite her body being sore from all the tumbling she went through the night. To be honest, she was pretty shocked and satisfied with the service she received, if she had not taken a pill to reduce all that pain, she was sure that she will not be able to even wake up as she did.

There was even something quite fascinating to her when she woke up. Her cultivation had increased too, it seemed like her body was quite compatible with him and greatly helped him overcome some bottlenecks. So, in order to show her gratitude, Krystal decided to give him a water pill to help him with what every man would want.

She was sure this young man was interested in being a martial artist and if he takes the water pill then that path will be open for him. That was the only thing she could do for him.

After her bath, she stored her luggage back in her storage space before leaving the suite. She didn’t want to wake the other person up; they were strangers after all.

Krystal finished the whole checkout process and told them that there was a guest still in the room. She took a taxi to the airport and got the flight back to Dielas.

Back in Valetta, a grumpy young man woke up only to find that the girl he had deflowered was gone and she didn’t even say a word except for a jade bottle that contained a pill. The fragrance of the pill was something he had never come across before, so when he read the little note with the bottle, he couldn’t help but laugh.

How dare she?

Krystal finally landed in Dielas; she took in the air and smiled. This place had become her home despite being there for just a few months and she couldn’t wait to see her business bloom once more.

She took a taxi back to the villa complex and she relaxed when she saw how sparkling the villa was. It seems like Aunt Grace wasn’t slacking off while she was away.

The first thing that she did was pack her clothes in her bedroom and took another shower. She looked around her house before she went to the kitchen; she frowned when she saw the situation. Her food was diminishing and it was time for her to fill the coffers.

So, she visited the Tycoon mall and did some grocery shopping. After filling her fridge and the pantry, she felt a bit better. She washed some fruits and began to eat them as she strolled through the boutique. She needed to buy the gowns for her boutique since she was planning on opening them in just two weeks.

Everything was almost done and under the pretense of having the gowns delivered to her, she had postponed the opening and now that she was back after settling her company matters, she was at ease.

With more than four hundred crystals in her virtual wallet, she was at ease. The only problem that she had was the design that will appear on the clothes since these clothes were inter-dimensional.

She left the boutique and visited the treasury hall to settle some matters. After going through the upgraded services, she found the one that she wanted. For just ten crystals, she could turn all the clothes that she buys into a brand that she wanted.

She quickly signed the contract and registered her brand Tranquility. She wanted some peace and every time she put on those expensive clothes, she was given that exactly. And this happiness just overcome the wearer and she wanted to give that to her future clients.

After settling the brand registration, Krystal returned back to the boutique. When she saw the brand on the clothes, she felt elated. The next thing she did was to buy twenty different gowns in different sizes spending twenty more crystals.

What she lacked was advertising and she needed free promotion. The best place to promote will be the banquet she will be attending later that night. So far only three people had the Tranquility gowns and according to human nature, when they saw those gowns, they will definitely succumb and once they do then soon, she will be counting a lot of money.

If she had known that it was easy to make money, she would have died early and released herself from the torment she went through in her previous life. After dealing with her boutique inventory, Krystal began to choose a gown for the banquet.

This was Mrs. Holmes birthday and she needed to look the part. She also has this nasty feeling that her family may be in attendance and she wanted to face slap them big time.

After thirty minutes Krystal managed to find a gown that truly impressed her. She was truly satisfied with it that she just let go of five crystals for it and three more for her shoes, handbag, and jewelry.

She put her clothes on the bed and began to communicate with Paula about the progress of the assignment that she had left for her. Paula was so efficient that she was nearly done with the company registration and at the same time she was busy recruiting talents that were needed for the different departments of her company.

She was satisfied with the report and ended the call. After that, she received a call from Flora who told her that she was going to have the driver come and pick her up. She was very grateful since she didn’t have a car or bothered to buy one. She might have a lot of money but wasting it on a car, was something she wasn’t willing to do.

Krystal looked at the time and noticed that she was left with two hours before the driver comes to pick her up, so she made some fruit salad and filled her stomach. She knew well what happens at events like that, eating will be a luxury as people will be trying to make some connections and all that.


After feeding herself, she began to prepare herself for the banquet. Krystal was done dressing and make-up in an hour, the last minutes were spent trying to find the suitable present to give the older lady and, in the end, she chose beauty pills after all she was a woman and every woman wanted to remain beautiful.

She then received the call that the car had arrived so Krystal left the villa donning a jacket to cover her expensive gown, it will be a shame if something uneventful occurs.

The driver looked at her with wide-open eyes as he couldn’t take in the beautiful scenery that was right in front of him. Krystal smiled as she saw this reaction, she was overly happy with herself now that she had seen this reaction.

She made a small conversation with the driver and the two were very harmonious on the way. When the car drove into the yard, she wasn’t surprised to see many cars and guests that were already present for the banquet. Sure, one can see that when famous people hold banquets, the atmosphere will be different.

Seeing the Holmes car approaching, people gave way as they were curious about the person who was in the car. Their faces were confused when they saw a young unfamiliar girl coming out of the car wearing a magenta mermaid gown with some thin strips, the black four inches’ stilettos inlaid with diamonds on the heels, and her diamond jewelry set consisting of a simple diamond pendant and drop earrings.

She really looked like a goddess that had descended from the heavens.

“Who is that young lady?”

“Which family is she from?”

“She is very beautiful.”

The guests kept on probing for more information but no one received the answers they were looking for. However, among the crowd, some faces recognize the face of the person who had captured several people’s hearts.

Emerald seeing her lousy sister wearing such beautiful clothes and being complimented by many people, felt herself blackening. She really hated that sister of hers, everything that she has should be hers. Why should she shine when she doesn’t?

She was going to torment her and make sure that she drags her down and embarrass her to the fullest.

“Emmy, are you okay?”

“No, I am not. I think that is Krystal. What is she doing here?” Emerald spoke in an aggrieved tone.

Seeing her friend like this because of that s**t Krystal, the young teenager was angry. Who didn’t know about this Krystal?

She had shamed her family and their school. To think that she attended this banquet, made her hate her even more.

“Where is she?”

Emerald seeing that the fish had caught the bait, quickly pointed towards the girl who had captured everyone’s soul. To be honest, the loyal follower was even shocked by this new Krystal, she looked very beautiful that she couldn’t even recognize her.

From a glance, everyone could tell that she was wearing millions' worth of merchandise. Who didn’t know she had been kicked out of the house? Then how did she afford to wear such expensive clothes?

“You don’t have to worry about her, I will make sure that her mask is uncovered. She is probably being kept and she dares to come and attend this banquet. Is she trying to shame the Holmes?”

What these two cunning teenagers didn’t know was the fact that the Reid family had been invited for a reason by the Holmes. They wanted to face slap them, they wanted to show them just what a treasure their daughter was, and wanted them to regret ever treating her the way they did when she needed them the most.
