CHAPTER 59: THE BUTLER

K busied herself with her battle array, collected enough jade and trees that she planted according to the formation she wanted to make.

At the same time, she received the news that her former butler had been found which made her so happy. As a result, she instructed her people to give the man her address so that they may sit down and have a talk.

The day finally arrived for the butler to arrive and the man was very anxious. He was a bit skeptical when he found out that some people were busy looking into him. He was also curious about the person looking for him. He was ready to lash out at the people but when he received that message he froze.

He knew those words very well and only one person was capable of saying those words and that person was long dead. Peter had investigated the person behind his mistress’s death and still, he couldn’t find a single lead.

When he was in trouble it was M who took him in, gave him a place to call home, and gave him money to support his family. M meant a great deal to him and he was not ready to lose her. M dying was just a great blow to him and this nearly decimated his family as people from the gang hunted him down and lay down some threats.

For the sake of his family, he ended up laying low but didn’t stop his investigation and this person who was looking into him could definitely give him some answers.
When he drove to the address, he was given he was welcomed by a mansion that looked grand. It reminded him of M’s mansion he used to work at before. He sighed and shook his head before he got out of the car.

When he approached the entrance, he was welcomed by a voice in his head, “come to the back P.”

That voice was strange but at the same time, it sounded familiar. If someone was able to speak to him like this using a voice transmitter it meant that this person was some grandmaster and he respected people with titles like these as well as M.

Peter followed the voice’s instruction until he was at the back where he found the young lady planting trees. It looked very rude for him to be invited here and have his host ignore him for some trees but considering that this person in terms of martial arts was higher than him.

Peter stopped and looked at the young woman who was now patting her hands as she turned around to face him with a smile.

“It’s good to see you again, P. how are the queen and the kids?”

When he heard that he froze because only M called his wife queen. It was a fact that was known to a few people that Peter’s wife was a very dominant woman but lovely at the same time. He loves her so deep even though it is like that.

“Y-You, who are you?” Peter stammered as he asked her a question.

“Take a guess, my dear butler. Or do you find it hard to meet me again after all these years?” the other woman asked him with a wronged look on her face.

Peter felt his heart thumping so loudly. He had this inkling that he knew this person well but the other part of him didn’t want to believe it as it was ridiculous for something like that to happen.

“You can’t be her?” he kept denying but the woman smiled at him.

“Do you still remember when I got shot three times and you found me in a bloody mess in the back garden? At that time, I thought that I was going to meet my end, I have been shot many times before but that night I was very scared.

I didn’t want to leave just yet and you came to my rescue like some knight in shining armor and removed the bullets out of my body. You saved me once more but I had a fever for two days and those bastards didn’t even give a shit and still summoned me to work,” the woman narrated and it strike him hard because only the two of them knew what transpired that night.

M didn’t have any genuine friends which is why she suffered alone every time and he felt bad for her. It was something that led him to be completely loyal to her and now this young woman was speaking as if she was M.

He truly didn’t want to believe her so he tested her once more to make sure, “what is my deepest secret?”

“You kissed your wife when you were eight and never told her fearing that she will make your life hard,” just thinking of Peter’s wife made K laughs.

How can such a man fear his wife? She knew how domineering she was; they looked so sweet together which is why she supported the two.

When Peter heard that answer he couldn’t help but flush with embarrassment and tear up at the same time as he concluded that this young lady was surely his mistress.

“It’s-it’s really you!” he didn’t know what to do but when he saw the young lady opening her arms, he didn’t care that he was far in years and hugged the other person.

“It’s me, I am back. I have been for a while now.”

“It’s good that you are back; I can now be at peace. Thank you very much.”

K left the older man to cry for a while before she took him inside the mansion.

“You don’t have to worry now that I am back. I couldn’t contact you before since I had matters to settle but now everything is settled.”

“Can you tell me what happened?”

K sighed as she looked at Peter whose eyes were still red from crying. She had never seen him crying before which was just touching. It made her happy that someone missed her and felt pain when she was gone since she was aware of how many enemies she had made in her previous life.

“It’s like this…” K began to narrate everything from the day she got poisoned by that jelly to the current day. She omitted everything about the Tycoon system but simply spoke about how the heavens had blessed her ever since she woke up in the new body.

When Peter heard the story, he felt happy, angry and he was filled with complicated feelings. He just never thought that his mistress will suffer like that even after being reincarnated but knowing that she came back made him happy.

“Are you going to look for the people who killed you?”

“No, I don’t want to think about it. I wanted to leave which is why I agreed to go to prison that time, I just never expected that they will finish me off before I could leave. I just want to live freely and happily this time. It’s never too late to get revenge. I will take my time,” K explained to Peter so that he may have peace of mind.

“If that’s how you want to do it then I will follow your instructions. I will give you everything I found after you died and then we can take it from there.”

K agreed with that as she didn’t find anything wrong with that. She will attack from the dark since she has no idea of how the gang has grown after many years.

“I wanted to offer you your former job back, I can’t take care of this place by myself and I need someone that I can trust right now,” K finally spoke her intentions to him.

When Peter heard this, he was surprised but happy since M thought of him first before looking for someone else.

“I will take on the job. I just need to inform my family,” Peter agreed which made K happy.

“You bring them over and live in the guest house behind. It will be just you, your family, me, and my men. We won’t be many.”

When Peter heard about the men, he couldn’t help but chuckle, his mistress was still the same which was good. He was very much aware of her taste in men and he was curious about these men of hers now. K chuckled when she saw that familiar gaze but she let it go.

“There is also another thing. I need you to look for trustworthy men, I want to raise them and nurture them….” K began to talk about her faction and how she wanted to recruit Peter and his family into it.

When Peter heard about getting stronger, he immediately agreed. As long as they all become strong then he won’t need to fear any threats from anyone.

“We have time to talk in the future. Go and settle your family issues. I will have the necessary pills ready for you when you come back and don’t tell anyone about me. It will be bad to attract some troubles when my foundation is not yet stable.”

“I understand, I will go and get ready immediately.”

K gave Peter her personal contact details, gave him some vegetables from the supermarket, and bided him farewell.

With him gone she quickly accepted her reward which was car modification. After choosing a number of modifications she wanted to be installed.

[THE MODIFICATIONS WILL TAKE FORTY-EIGHT HOURS, PLEASE WAIT.]

After receiving familiar notifications K didn’t worry but only knew that she won’t be using her car for a while now. She will simply take a taxi for the time being because these modifications will help her in the long run.

So, many people were used to causing car accidents and sports cars like hers were very fragile. Even though she could get out of the car alive she didn’t want her car to become a waste. She used a lot of money to buy her car and she was not going to allow some dandies to mess it all up.
