CHAPTER 30: MISSION COMPLETE
K had a great time staying with the Holmes, she was pampered like Flo and she spent a lot of time with Annie who looked more beautiful than before. The beauty pills were really working and she had been nagging her about many pills.
To think that she even paraded herself among her friends, making them envious of her and now the ladies wanted the pills too. In order to get Annie off her back, she agreed in providing at least two pills for each of her friends but they will be costly.
Anne understood this concept since these pills were never seen in this world. In the pharmacy, she needs to spend five crystals for a bottle of pills of twelve. She decided to sell two pills for a total of three million, after all, one’s life could be changed after this.
Annie had agreed to this, she even asked if there are any other pills that the master sells. How could she let such a great opportunity go? She told Annie about the other medicines that the Master had been busy concocting and since they are not mass-produced then they would be costly.
K promised Annie to bring the pills when she returns from Valletta after meeting the Master for the merchandise. K also made sure she left enough stock with Olivia and added some new merchandise like handbags, shoes, and more clothes.
K left Aunt Grace with instructions for her to come twice a week to just clean the house and for her to take all the greens with her. The woman was happy since she knew how healthy her greens are.
With everything settled, she departed for the first mountain where the spirit stones were located. She had busied herself with researching spirit stones and her findings made her excited. They could aid her with cultivation for it wasn’t good for her to keep on relying on pills.
As someone who was eager to form a core, she needed to do it big, for a bigger and firmer core was essential for the progress of her journey to become an immortal. She was nearly halfway through and she wasn’t planning on stopping midway.
K packed her food, clothes, and safety clothing suitable for mountain climbing. Since she had the virtual space, there was no need for her to bring camping gear.
She bided Flora goodbye and took a flight to the city that connected her to the town where the first mountain is.
It took her hours to trek through the mountain using her jade eyes to follow the string of energy that was becoming denser the more she climbed up. After hours she finally stopped at where the energy was concentrated and what awaited her was a crack which meant that what she wanted was inside. But how was she going to go inside the mountain?
She used her jade eyes to look deeper and she smiled as she saw that as long as she finds a way, there was a corridor inside. She spent another hour carefully extracting the stone to form a door and putting it back so that nothing can follow her once she enters the narrow cave.
She lit up her torch and began to follow the corridor until she fell into a deep pit. Luckily, she didn’t fall but stood on her feet stepping on bones that made cracking sounds. For someone who had faced death a couple of times, this wasn’t scary for her. Since there were skeletons in the pit it meant that many people came to this cave and probably never left.
She couldn’t wait to see what treasures wait for her. She used her torch to continue walking following that dense energy that made her feel warm as her meridians continued on circulating it inside her body.
After walking for thirty more minutes, she picked her first stone. It was big like a fist and filled with so much energy. For the other thirty minutes, she picked up stones on the way until she arrived in front of heaps of spirit stones.
It looked like someone mined them but didn’t carry them out after that. Their loss was her own gain. Instead of getting carried away by the dense energy she took out her crates and began to fill them one by one.
Even though she had been cultivating she was not yet at the stage where she could do some miraculous things. She could just wave her hands and have the crates filled to the brim but it felt like cheating. She wanted to do the mission diligently and it was also a way of training.
When she filled two crates, she took a rest and ate some warm food that she had stored in the virtual space. She resumed her job once more and after two hours she filled the other three.
When she checked the time, she knew that it was time to rest so she washed herself up with the water she had stored when she prepared for the journey. Feeling fresh, she went into the virtual space for some sleep.
Because of the time difference in there, it felt like years so when she was no longer sleepy, she began to cultivate taking advantage of the efficacy of the pills stored in her body.
She left the virtual space when she felt that it was morning in the real world. She ate some healthy breakfast first before she continued with her job of collecting spirit stones. Because of the improvement in her cultivation, her core was in the middle of forming even though it was still small as a dot. Her speed also improved, unlike the previous day.
So, in three hours, she had managed to fill the remaining crates leaving at least two crates worth of spirit stones in the cave. K was determined to finish her job in the cave first before exploring the mountain as a whole so she scooped all the remaining spirit stones and brought them into her virtual space and began to cultivate.
The speed was great and the consumption of the spirit stones was maddening. With two spirit stones continuously in her hands, she cultivated for a month inside totaling it a day in the real world. She stopped when she had exhausted the spirit stones.
The results of this seclusion were beneficial to her for she had managed to form her core to the size of a golf ball and she could feel that there was still a lot of potential. From the books she had read, she knew that one can form a bigger core and her goal was to form a core big enough like a football.
She wanted to improve her spiritual sea into an ocean as it will help her greatly during cultivation. Being blessed by a heavenly physique she needed to make use of it and bring out as many benefits as she can.
Seeing the impurities excreted after the one-month mediation, she washed once more and changed into hiking clothes once more. She began to tour the underground cave and whatever she saw that looked worthy she picked.
She picked a number of strange stones that were filled with energy but can be used for other stuff after extracting the energy. Unlike the spirit stones that turn into powder after use, these had dual uses.
After scouting for two hours, she managed to find an underground water spring. When she tasted the water, she felt relieved and calm as if someone was soothing her.
She could see the energy particles in the water which meant that it was special. For something like this, there was no way that she could leave it alone so she bought another water gourd and filled it with water.
She even stripped herself clean and took a relaxing bath in the spring pool. After soaking herself for an hour she finally left feeling very light and she could tell that her looks had changed once more. It was time for her to take some of those beauty pills, she murmured to herself.
After taking everything underground, K find a way out and appeared back on the mountain. The sun was still high and it was in the afternoon which meant that she can still scout around but first thing first, she fed herself.
Because of the energy on the mountain, she found a lot of herbs that can be classified as spiritual. She marked this mountain on the treasure map to remember to visit there in order to gather the special herbs.
K spent two more days gathering herbs, she was even lucky to find some tea bushes which she carefully harvested and stored in her warehouse. She was not going to sell her tea leaves for she was planning on learning about the tea ceremony and enjoying the tea as she used to back when she was M.
She used to sit with the older generation where they could have tea, she sued to be angry as she didn’t like it but as time goes on, she began to understand it. It was just bad that she didn’t have time to learn about it but now with the help of the virtual space, she could learn whatever she wants and have as many careers as she can manage.
On her fifth day on the mountain, she went to the top where energy was dense but less than the cave where she picked the spirit stones. As long as she finds an opportunity, K vowed to herself that she wasn’t going to let go. So, when she found such great Qi on top of the mountain, she resumed her meditation.
She simply stored the energy in her sea for future use and left some to maintain this lush mountain. It wouldn’t be good for her if she depletes the whole energy on the mountain.
She still was looking forward to gathering more herbs in the future. When she was done absorbing the energy she decided to sleep on the mountain and leave the following day.
K left the mountain the next day and during the time she spent going down, she was busy cultivating. She had learnt the benefits of multitasking. Her journey down was less trifling than that of climbing up.
She checked into a motel, cleaned herself up, and changed into black jeans, a red t-shirt, and black sneakers. She ate some food at a nearby restaurant and bought a local plane ticket to the same city she passed by last time.
The flight was for an hour before she took another flight for Valletta. It was time for her to see what miracles Paula achieved during the months she was gone. As someone who had placed the soul tracking on her, she was fully aware that she didn’t run, and because of her weekly reports she was aware of the progress of the company. She couldn’t wait to see it all.
