CHAPTER 53: GOODBYE
After sorting out the Reid’s which made headlines again, Krystal the one involved didn’t let the issue affect her life as she continued to prepare for her move.
Krystal wanted to sell the villa but after some thinking, she decided to give the villa to Aunt Grace, the woman who had been like a mother to her ever since she met her.
To her, the villa wasn’t worth much as she spends millions to just have a normal meal in her home. She settled the transfer papers first before preparing for her trip with Flora that weekend.
Aunt Grace who had returned back to work had prepared everything that she needed for the camping trip. The rest of the things were being prepared by Annie who was going to join on the trip.
On the day of departure, Flora came to pick her up after school and the two put the bags into the car and left for the Holmes mansion.
“You look beautiful, godmother,” K complimented Annie the second she saw her.
“Thank you, darling. Have you prepared everything?” the question was now directed to the two of them, so they nodded their heads.
The bags were placed in the SUVs that they were using for transport. After having some snacks and beverages the journey began. The trip was for the three of them with a number of bodyguards.
The journey was quite satisfying as the three talked, joked, and sang on the way. The drive was for three hours before they reached the place they will be camping at.
The camping site was already filled with a number of cars of people, the place was well known for its beautiful scenery of both the sunrise and sunset. There were wonderful hot springs, gardens, fountains, and a park filled with animals.
This was also a great experience for Krystal as well as she never had the time to go and enjoy herself at places like that. Her lifestyle didn’t allow her to go out and play.
Ever since the day she gave herself to that person and became his subordinate, she lost so many things but she never really regretted it. That person gave her a sense of belonging, power, and the money to achieve what she wanted.
That changed when the man finally passed on leaving a way for other people who didn’t want to see her, a woman progressing. As a result, she was arrested for such funny charges and ended up being poisoned to death by a simple tub of jelly.
It was very humiliating for her, if she ever finds that culprit, she will surely make him or she suffers for the humiliation. It would have been better if she were beaten or stabbed to death. Everyone has got their own pride and so does she.
After settling down the three set their tents on their designated place and began to prepare for dinner. The two ladies from the Holmes had never done something like this before and wanted the guards to do it, as a result, Krystal cooked dinner for everyone.
It was very enjoyable for everyone, as they all chatted and shared a couple of scary stories after some dessert. After having their fill, they all went to sleep.
Krystal had her own tent which made it easier to cultivate and sort out her things.
The next day they all got up early, cleaned themselves up and Krystal cooked once more while Flora watched and learn. They ate their breakfast and began to visit the places they were curious about.
Because they all woke up late, they didn’t manage to go and watch the sunrise which is why they will settle for the sunset and the sunrise the next day.
They had a lot of fun, took pictures, and ate a lot of good food. The three even dipped in the hot springs and had their fatigues treated. Later that evening they watched the beautiful sunset and took more pictures for memories.
That night Annie and Flora cooked which was hilarious but fun. Krystal was in charge of taking the video of the two making a mess but in the end, they cooked an edible meal.
“One day I will surpass you!” Flora declared with conviction as she ate the half-cooked rice she and her mom had made.
This made Krystal burst out laughing as it was just fun.
“When you become a great cook, I will reward you with a bottle of beauty pills,” K added a carrot which made the pair’s eyes light up.
“I think I will join in the fun too,” Annie said which made Flora look at her mother confusingly.
Why was this woman trying to snatch her pills from her?
In her mind, Flora put her mother on the watch list as she was so dangerous. She was not going to let her steal that bottle from her.
The three laughed as they talked and quickly forgot about the competition. The next day which happened to be the last, they woke up early for the sunrise and didn’t miss it this time.
Looking at the beautiful rays in the sky, K felt emotional. She was reminded of her family of four. Their parents would take them to watch the sunrise or the sunset. If it was in the morning, the two siblings will be very sleepy that they had to be coaxed with some sweets to open their eyes.
She really misses them a lot. She wondered if they ever got a chance like hers and got reincarnated or rebirth? How wonderful will it be if her parents were alive and well?
It was good that she will be seeing her brother soon. She was only left with a few weeks and all will be settled. They ate breakfast after that and went to watch the animals in the nearby park. The day was well spent and everyone had a relaxing weekend and a joyful one. Later that afternoon, they packed their things and began their journey back to Dielas.
On their way back home K dropped a bomb on the two women who looked at her shocked.
“You are joking right?”
“No, I am not. I will be moving permanently to Valletta in a few weeks. I have businesses to look after that side and I own a house on that side. If you ever get bored this side then comes and visit me,” she said with a smile even though it was difficult.
She had gotten used to the Holmes but that shouldn’t be a hindrance to her doing her own things after all she was an adult and has her own life to live.
“You have already made your mind?” Annie asked with sadness in her eyes.
“Ummm, ever since my family went berserk. I want a change of environment but that doesn’t mean I will forget you guys; you will always be my family.”
They both knew that they will not be able to change her mind but knowing that she was leaving was actually very hard for them. Krystal was meant to soar high but they were not prepared to let her go.
“When you come to visit, I will show you my fiancés’,” with that statement she made everyone look at her with confusion, shock, and excitement.
They had seen the ring on her finger but never thought that she got engaged and to more than one person.
“Explain!” Annie couldn’t wait, she just wanted to understand who had the guts to scam her goddaughter.
Seeing the look in Annie’s eyes, K decided to rectify and explain everything. So, she did but left out some important details. Annie only felt relieved after hearing the two people involved.
She gave it to her, K really knew how to pick men but two, wasn’t it a bit out of the norm?
“I understand about your worries which is why I will not explain any further. You will see it with your own eyes that everything will be okay,” she assured Annie of her worries.
Annie had seen Krystal at work so she had faith in her. She just didn’t trust the men that she was involved with. She didn’t want anyone hurting Krystal again. She had already suffered enough torment.
“Can I see J in person if I come and see you?” an excited Flora suddenly asked which made K and Annie laugh. This girl was even thinking of idols and not the real issue.
“Yes, you will. I will have him do anything that you want except stealing him of course,” K joked with Flo which made the young girl blush with embarrassment.
Everything went smoothly, they both accepted her move and she asked them not to tell anyone about her engagement. Annie promised to throw a party for her when she leaves which was one thing she couldn’t refuse. However, K made it to a dinner party instead of an extravagant party as she didn’t want people to know about her moving.
After coming to an agreement, the trio enjoyed their journey back home creating as many memories as they can. That night K slept at the Holmes mansion as Flora didn’t want to let go.
