CHAPTER 38: SYSTEM UPGRADE

For the following one hour, K had a total of five stones cut and two had already produced mid-level jades including the oil type one. These two gave her twenty million in total.

Seeing that she was left with five stones, people were that optimistic but what happened after that left everyone shocked. However, someone was panicking as he knew that he had lost the bet and he was going to part with twenty million after acting arrogant.

Just as she knew, K cut a total of six jadeites, three mid-level ones, and three high-level jades. This shocked everyone as these stones were picked in the shop that everyone had been saying that it was cursed.

Apart from the oil type that she got first, she also managed to get a cockscomb red jade, gluttonous rice type, silk type, and two pink lotus root types. K made a lot of money from selling all the jades she got from cutting the stones totaling her proceeds to one hundred and fifty million dollars excluding the twenty million she won from the lousy bet.

“Thank you for your patronage, I think you have learnt a great lesson from this,” she said with a smile as she looked at the young man who had been putting on airs earlier.

K turned to look at the old man who had tears in his eyes and transferred two million in his account. She had gained a lot of money by selling the stones she bought from him so she gave him some incentive.

“I will visit when I have the chance for more stones. Take care,” with that, K left the shop with her head held high.

Since she had already started, she was planning on not stopping at all. She knew that some people were so daring to trace you by using the banking details so she used her virtual bank account that couldn’t be traced no matter what.

K visited three more shops that day and she had a number of followers who were eager to buy jade from her. Since they had money, why should she stop them?

She really harvested a lot of good things that day and among them was the King Green’s jade which she refused to sell no matter what. Since it was the top jade, she wanted to make something personal with it.

She sold all the jade she received though earning four hundred million dollars in total after a full day. When she left the market, she didn’t hurry but took her time, this action had attracted a number of greedy people who were so desperate to try to steal from her but she was going to teach them a lesson.

She took a taxi and had the driver drop her at a secluded area with no surveillance. As soon as the taxi left, three black cars arrived and surrounded her. She couldn’t help but click her tongue as she looked helplessly at the people that had followed her.

“You will be spared if you turn around and leave,” K spoke lowly as she looked at the men that were surrounding her.

“Give us the money and the jade and we will leave your body intact,” one of the men spoke arrogantly and this attitude reminded her of that unruly young master.

“Hahahaha, this is the stupidest thing I have heard ever since I took over this body. Since you are so greedy for things that don’t belong to you, I will teach you all a lesson,” she said and looked into the other car where she could sense a familiar presence, “and as compensation for wasting my time and trying to steal from me. I will make you compensate me one hundred million dollars, so be prepared or else I will cut your body into pieces and feed it to the sharks.”

These words made the young man sitting in the car shiver all over. He didn’t believe that such a young woman was capable of making it out alive. How dare she be arrogant?

K didn’t waste her time but turned into a blur taking everyone by storm. In just seconds ten men were groaning and crying in pain. She had broken their limbs but left them alive to endure the pain of being greedy.

Seeing this shocking event, the young man just wanted to escape but before he could do anything K dragged him out of the car and slapped him three times before he sat on the ground brawling.

“Your parents should have taught you very well that bullying is bad. You shouldn’t be too greedy for other people’s belongings. I do hate it when someone eyes what belongs to me. It really makes me so angry but you should be very grateful that I am in a very good mood. I made a lot of money. Now transfer that money before I do what I promised you earlier!” K didn’t show any mercy as she talked to the arrogant young master who had lost the bet back in the jade market.

“I'm sorry; I will send you the money now. Just don’t kill me.”

“As long as you send me the money then I will pardon you, I always keep my words,” she spoke with a smile that made the young man tremble.

She had given him the same smile back when he lost and now, she was doing it again. He quickly transferred the money to her account and decided to look for her and taunt her when he was feeling okay. It was never too late for a gentleman to get his revenge.

Seeing the amount in her account, K smiled with victory. She kicked him in the stomach and merrily left the place in a blur.

The young man only saw an afterimage, the young woman was gone. He just witnessed someone disappearing like in movies and this made him rethink his revenge. This was someone he shouldn’t provoke no matter what.

He quickly called back home and informed his father about his unfortunate incident. Thirty minutes later everyone was taken to the hospital for treatment.

When his father listened to the events, he felt relieved seeing that the grandmaster had left his child alive. For a man who knew about the martial artist world, he had never seen someone who had such high cultivation as the way his son described.

“Just recuperate and don’t go out for a while, don’t just provoke anyone because you think you can. You should be grateful that the master left you alive, you have learnt your lesson now,” the man said to his son.

He knew how stubborn he was since he had spoiled him too much, if only he could find the whereabouts of the grandmaster, he would personally beg for forgiveness and offers her more money. It was wise for him to make some connections but it was already too late.

On the other side inside the hotel suite, K was busy smiling after the system had leveled up two levels. The improvements were visible and more stuff had been added but what she was more interested in were the rewards for leveling up.

For leveling up to six she received painting lessons that could make her a master of painting if she follows the instructions. As for leveling to seven, she received a night luminescent pearl that could aid her greatly in her cultivation as it could help her absorb the essence and power from the sun and the moon on its own.

This essence or energy could then be stored into her spiritual sea and help her breakthrough and reach higher realms. So, K swallowed the pearl and stored it into her spiritual sea for better aiding.

When she was done checking the Tycoon mall, she returned back to the bed and transferred one hundred and fifty million to Paula for the company. The problem she was having was now solved.

She could now focus on hunting for a home she could live in when she starts living in Valletta.
