CHAPTER 36: CONFRONTATION

Ever since B.B received a call from a voice that he swore to recognize but failed to point it to the exact individual, he had not been sleeping well. He knew that K had found the other guy that she wanted and the other guy already accepted that fact. This made him so angry as he saw how hesitant he was when she spoke to him that morning.

He had been trying to contact K and yet she wasn’t responding or reading any texts from him. She was probably busy, he assumed. So, there he was sitting in a private booth in The Veil waiting for the other guy at night. He had been there for an hour which was earlier than the appointment the two made.

Finally, the door was opened and a familiar figure walked into the booth wearing a mask and a cap. This kind of dressing was usually done by popular individuals but mostly celebrities. Did this mean that K had hooked a celebrity as soon as he sent her away? She was pretty quick; this made his heartache.

“You must be Byron, it’s nice to meet you,” J spoke as he removed the mask from his face.

B.B was taken back when he saw the man behind the mask. J was very popular that his own sister was a huge fan, she was always going to his concerts, watching whatever he films without wavering.

He was the nation’s prince, the idol who has never been involved in any scandal. Seeing this guy here and knowing the reason why he was here, made him accept that K was truly special.

“It’s nice to meet you in person. You are a very popular person,” B.B smiled at J as he returns the handshake.

The two young masters sat in their respective seats and drank the wine that had been poured by B.B to lessen the tension between them.

“I will get straight to the point since it will not do me good to stay here for long. I guess you are fully aware of the reason why I am here,” J spoke seriously as he didn’t want the other to look down on him.

“Yes, you must be seeing K like I am.”

“Not like you are for I remember hearing what you did from K. if you really cared for her as I see with my own eyes, you should have sat there and listened. You should have just accepted it; it’s not like you will find another girl like K. where can you ever find such an honest person?” J was really angry at this person.

He had to share a woman with him and yet his thinking capacity was just so irritating.

“I know I messed up but I am trying to get in touch with her and I can’t reach her,” he really sounded depressed which made J chuckle.

“She is a very busy person and she deserves to be angry and throw her own temper. When she is done, she will surely contact you. I can see that she really likes you and care for you seeing how she told me about you and all before we got together. So, man up and talk to her.”

“Is this why you came to talk to me? I thought you will tell me to stay away from her?”

“I wish I could but my purpose is to see her happy and if being with the two of us serves that purpose then I will tolerate the other person. This is my first loving someone and I won’t let something like sharing my woman stop me from pursuing love.”

“Does she know that you are here?”

“She doesn’t know about this. Since we are in the same boat we may as well get along together. I don’t want it to be awkward if we are to meet one day,” J spoke leisurely.

He had told himself over and over again that this was all for the sake of being with K. It was the first time that this was happening but there was nothing that he could do. If he refused to go along with her, she will simply find someone else to be with, and wouldn’t that just hurt him to the point of death.

“Since this is doable, then I guess we should talk more about this cooperation, don’t you think?”

As a result, the two young men began to share stories about how they met K and the two of them saw sides of K they didn’t see yet. The two were very harmonious and became close in the process.

The tense atmosphere was lifted which made it easy for everyone. Later after conversing, J left The Veil first leaving B.B to his drink. He couldn’t help but laugh aloud alone. He didn’t think that he would be thinking about that J even after he left.

He was a really good guy and he could tell that his love for K was deeper than his. J was someone who didn’t cower to show his love to those that he cares for.
B.B was raised in a family that was full of restrictions that it makes it hard to show one’s feelings and now that he found K, it was truly difficult for him which led to all these problems.

He fully accepted it now. K now had two men and he was one of them. J had told him about that which meant that she admitted it. He was not going to stop contacting her and f he couldn’t reach her then he was going to seek J’s help after all they both serve the same person.

If his family were to know of this, they will surely flip and create havoc. He didn’t want to think about that anymore. He got up and left the booth after paying the bill.

He looked for a designated driver to take him back to his villa. The place was still filled with her scent which made him sleep well and more calmly than before.

On the other hand, J had finished taking a shower and was looking at his phone. K wasn’t responding to his texts and he was a bit worried. What was she up to recently that she wasn’t available?

When he was about to go to bed, he received a call which he picked up enthusiastically.

K: Are you sleeping?

J: No, but I am about to.

K: I have been busy with work but in a few days, I will be done.

J: Just do and finish your work first and we can play later, you don’t have to worry.

K: Okay then I will do that. Gotta go, goodnight.

J: Goodnight.

J smiled as the call hung up, he could hear that she was tired. She must have been busy with something. He was really curious about what she was up to but it wasn’t time to pry into her secrets yet.

Since he had heard his baby’s voice he went to sleep soundly.

K didn’t forget to contact B.B, she had punished him enough and it was time to accept the hot hunk in her arms again.

K: let us meet in two days, I will be done with some of the things. We need to talk.

B.B: Sure, I will come and pick you up where you staying at. Just send me the address and I will be there.

K: Okay, I will do so. Have a goodnight.

B.B: Goodnight.

B.B felt better after hearing her voice after a week of no contact, as someone who was sleeping before the call came in, he returned back to bed and had good dreams for the first time in days.
