CHAPTER 68: BRANCHES OPEN

With the issue of her sect settled K concentrated on the Pixyfly branches that she had Paula open when she went to Dalery for her mission. When she was free, she inspected the three stores that she opened in Valletta and was satisfied with them

K never stopped sending inventory back to Dielas since all she had to do was just enter her space and buy the gowns that she finds satisfactory. It was the same for the stores in Valletta.

Since it was the opening of these branches, she decided to let the respective managers that were selected by Paula after a lot of scrutiny’s deal with the opening of their respective stores.

K was very generous and provided each store with fifty gowns and other accessories she found in the clothing boutique.

On this day K was busy looking around at the main store of Pixyfly in Valletta in one of the newest malls recently built by one of the largest families in Valletta. She didn’t mind helping them make some money as long as one doesn’t cheat her.

Her brand had become a well-known one ever since ladies fell in love with the exquisite gowns that she provided. How can they not when these gowns were made with rare materials and came from all over the galaxy?

She smiled as she watched the ladies speaking among themselves waiting for the doors to officially open. K was there to see the traffic and how the customers are reacting to everything.

It was also an opportunity for her to check what other women prefer since all she does mostly is buy what she thinks is more beautiful.

K was satisfied with the response, especially seeing the ladies swiping their gold, silver, and diamond cards by the cashier who was dressed in black and purple.

The cheapest item in the Pixyfly store was worth over a hundred thousand dollars so not everyone could afford to buy in a store like this but that wasn’t her concern.

It wasn’t her fault that others were just too poor to afford it. If you are too lazy and don’t put any effort into working hard to achieve the glory, fame, or wealth that you think you should have then you will never be able to even eat a single snack in a two- or three-star restaurant.

In life, if you are too lazy and want to rely on others for everything then your ending will always be tragic. In her previous life when she was called M or Mercy, she worked hard like a maniac.

Whatever the superiors wanted her to do she did it without questioning them. She built that trust with them until she was promoted to become one of the highest leaders which caused jealousy and envy among the crowd.

She spent her money the way she wanted to because she worked hard for it. When she changed men like tissues, she had the right to because she had the money, the authority, and the power to do.

She learnt that without money, you can never achieve anything in life so she worked hard for it and earned every cent of it. The same was true for this life, if she didn’t go around hiking, gambling, and putting herself in danger every time then she will have no right to claim that she must have two men.

If she were poor, she wouldn’t be able to keep those two even though she never used a lot of money on them. They were self-reliant but it wasn’t a secret that she was richer than them.

She didn’t like to be a nagging aunt, always complaining about how expensive this or that is. If you can’t afford it then work hard or just leave the damn store. After checking the store for thirty minutes, she left after giving the manager a nod.

Only the managers knew that she was their boss while the rest of the people didn’t know. She still didn’t want to be in the limelight.

K took this opportunity to check the other two stores and everything was going well. She could tell that she earned her rental fee for the year in just one day. Every store knew that there was a limit to what they can sell as she didn’t want her clothes to be sold in mass and be like other brands.

If something is expensive, then one should feel or see the benefits of it. When things are good there is always someone who is out to get into some trouble. K didn’t want to interfere but she let the security do their jobs after all she paid a lot of money to employ them.

They didn’t disappoint her and solved the issue within minutes letting the customers continue with their shopping. As for the lady that caused trouble, she was blacklisted from every Pixyfly store and she won’t be allowed to buy anything from the stores.

After checking the three stores she went to Triumph Ltd headquarters and went straight to the top floor where her office was. Since she didn’t tell anyone that she was coming, the secretaries were a bit flustered but they got back on their feet quickly.

Paula was in a meeting with the department heads so she went through some files while she waited for her. Paula received the message that Krystal was in the company so she left after adjourning the meeting.

“I think I just heard that the Chairman is here.”

“I heard it too. Do you think he is old or young?”

“Him being mysterious, I think that he is young.”

“For him to be able to open such a unique company like this, I truly applaud him.”

The department heads kept on talking among themselves as they leave for their respective floors. The Chairman in question was busy looking at the window since she was done reading the files that were on her desk.

When Paula walked in, she smiled as she saw how different her boss looked. If it wasn’t for Krystal, she would still be stuck on that desk doing some menial job that didn’t pay her enough.

“I was in a meeting, how are you?” Paula said as she sat on the other chair.

K looked at her subordinate the woman who had driven this company to be where it is today. To think that her crazy dream got realized was just a blessing.

“I just came to check up on all of you and tell you that when there isn’t too much work, send everyone for a vacation. Call it a company retreat, all the expenses are on me,” Krystal spoke with a smile.

She had just made a lot of money today and was feeling a bit happier, so why not spend it on the people who are working so hard for her dream?

When Paula heard this, she was taken back since the expenses will be high. Their salaries were already top-notch and everyone appreciated that but this was just too costly.

“Boss, this….”

“I don’t lack money, Paula. I am afraid that I won’t be able to use it all in this life. Not everyone is like me, just take everyone this weekend for the retreat and loosen up.”

Hearing this Paula knew that it was final, the retreat was good for everyone as it can be used as a team-building exercise.

“Okay, I will do so. I will have the heads relay the message to the employees and find an appropriate weekend.”

Seeing Paula giving in, K nodded with satisfaction. The two spoke for a while before she instructed Paula to look for a building she can use as a studio. She also instructed her to register for the studio as soon as possible.

When Paula heard this, she couldn’t help but lament. It was good having money; her boss just recently spent a hundred million dollars on the three stores and now she was spending more on a studio.

She was so young but her head was filled with money-making ideas and she envied her. She knows that she won’t be able to be on the same level as Krystal but as long as she follows her then her life will be set.
