CHAPTER 64: B. B’S MOM

Charlene wanted to kill her son when she learnt that he had ditched the young lady she had taken a lot of pain for. She knew that the two had a thing in the past and her son really liked her but the young lady left for abroad and her son changed into a playboy.

She was only thinking for her son, hoping that when she brings Sarah to him, he will be happy and take her as her daughter-in-law.

For many years she had tried but failed to restrain her son who totally went out of his way with his unruly ways. If she and her husband didn’t spoil him then they would have skinned him alive many years ago but all she can do is just wait and pray for some improvement.

That change came, her son stopped his ways and began to study hard which made everyone in the house happy but she just never tried to look into the real reason why her son changed. She just thought that her son had changed for the better.

Now that her son had rejected Sarah and announced that he has a fiancé, she nearly had a heart attack. She had never seen him dating anyone and all of a sudden, he has a fiancé. She had never seen this mysterious woman and her son just couldn’t tell her who the girl was.

So, she called her son to come back home so that the two may have a heart-to-heart talk. When she saw the smile on his face, she couldn’t help but soften. It wasn’t every day her son was like that and somehow, she wanted to forget about interrogating him.

“Mom, I miss you!” B.B smiled at her as he embraced her in a warm hug.

“Umphhh!” she didn’t want to fall for that.

“Come on!”

B.B led his mother to the couch where the two sat while the maid brought some tea for them to drink.

“Confess!” she immediately went straight to the point leaving B.B a bit flushed.

“I was going to tell you slowly but who knew you would use that trick?”

In the end, B.B began to narrate about Krystal in detail from the very second, they met.

“When I first saw her, she was teaching a group of delinquents a lesson…….”

Charlene had never seen her son so immersed in storytelling like that. If she didn’t know her son well, she would have thought that he was busy narrating a movie. How can a young girl be that valiant? This type of girl was very hard to find and somehow, she felt better that he found someone like that.

When B.B continued with his story, Charlene teared up when she heard that it was Krystal who helped her son to practice martial arts. She had seen with her own eyes how strong he had become. It had been his dream but he was not fit for it.

She had listened to her brother and her nephews who had sparred with B.B that he had greatly improved and was easily surpassing them. This was truly too good to be true. She was very proud of her son to be able to pick out such a daughter-in-law for her.

However, she was worried since this girl was so strong that her son may be overpowered. What if she leaves her son in the future and he falls into that crazy state again? Charlene was going crazy but she couldn’t say anything yet as her son was happily narrating.

It was only after hearing a lot of good things that her son dropped a crazy bomb that she exploded.

“What do you mean by that exactly?” she couldn’t believe it at all.

“Mom, it’s like this….”

B.B decided that he will make his mother accept K as she is. He didn’t want to lie about his relationship with her. He shared her with J and his mother should know that at least. Even if she fails to accept it, she can at least adapt to the situation as time goes on.

Charlene couldn’t believe her ears; it’s not like she wasn’t aware of how crazy society had become. She just didn’t expect that her son will agree to share a woman with another man and even want to marry her.

“Are you not afraid of what people will say about you, her, or the other young man? What about your families?” Charlene didn’t want to chase her son away, so she wanted to negotiate with him slowly and try to make him give up on this scandalous relationship.

“Mom, listen to me. I have never wanted anyone this bad in my life, this is the reason why I set all ethics aside and dived into this relationship. I asked myself a lot of questions when the issue first arose. Can I really live without her? Can I really set my pride aside and share the only person that I love with another?

To be honest with you, I am selfish, and sharing her is the most difficult thing in the world but after knowing the two of them, we got close and we get along together well. We all complement each other’s weaknesses and to me, she is the best thing that ever happened to me apart from you. I love her mom and don’t worry your son isn’t sleeping with J but with K.

I will give you some grandkids as soon as she is all grown up,” B.B explained as he held his mother’s hands.

Charlene was now crying; she knew that she was doomed. She couldn’t stop her son at all. This J was someone she knew, he was such a nice, handsome young man and she was a huge fan. The problem was the young girl who had stolen both her son and J’s hearts.

She was very curious about her now and as for crying, she was thinking of the future. Her husband will go crazy and society will even be worse. How was she going to protect her baby?

“Mom, don’t cry okay. I will bring her to you when you calm down and then you see her.”

“I lost so I will let you do what you want. What should I do with your dad?”

“What about him? He couldn’t marry you when you gave birth to his child. He doesn’t have a say in my life and he should stay away. Whatever happens to me is none of his business. You are the only one I care about.”

Another bomb was dropped and she looked at her son. She had never heard of a country that allows this kind of marriage.

“How are you going to do it?” she was very worried as she didn’t want her son to have kids out of wedlock despite having a customary wedding.

“We will go to the independent state for the wedding. It is legal there,” B.B explained which made her frown.

The reason was she had heard about the state but it was mysterious and all. How does her son know about that?

“Don’t worry, I know someone and everything will be okay. We can just bring everyone there and get it done. The Independent state is a nice place; I want you to see it too.”

After being coaxed by her son for two hours she finally gave in making B.B brighten up after that. As a result, B.B made a deal with his mother and made sure that she will be nice to K when they meet. As for the dad, she will just tell him after he is hooked.

He didn’t want to have that man do something crazy like threatening K and J to stay away from him. He was well aware of how selfish that man was. He used his mom like some rug even though he paid child support.

Child support was not the important thing but his mother’s heart. Until now his mother was still hooked with that man who has a wife and other kids at home. He doesn’t even give a crap about her and yet he wants to dictate his way of living, dream on.

The emergence of K gave him a leeway, freedom to choose the path that he wants, freedom to love and be with someone he wants to spend the rest of his life with. As for the Barnes, they may go to hell. He will protect what is his and give her a life of a queen.

He was no pauper but someone who made a number of investments and his money was a lot. If he didn’t find someone like K, then that money will surely overwhelm his woman but K it was a different story. It was a good thing that she didn’t mind about anything but loves them the way they are.

“Mom, I will be moving in with K and J soon but I will let her meet you before that,” B.B spoke after he remembered what he had forgotten earlier.

When she heard that she didn’t oppose it any longer as she understood that feelings can be cultivated further if they are together. If she rejects it then she will only give this chance to J. so what if her daughter-in-law is unique, she will just love and accept her. She really was envious of K’s boldness. She will never be able to do that in her life.

“Okay, I will wait.”

While B.B was at his mother’s villa he received a text from J and he smiled.

“Mom, I will be spending the night here with you, so make me some delicious food.”

She didn’t ask why her son changed his mind but this was good. It’s been long since they had a meal together, so she got busy while B.B simply shook his head with a smile.

Even though he wanted to spend some time with K, he was going to leave J to have some alone time with her. He missed her too the same way he did. He would join the two after they have their own fun.

There was no more jealousy or envy but simply happiness.
