CHAPTER 39: HOUSE HUNTING

Just like she promised K dressed prettily for a date with B.B. She was going to use this time to have the young master help her with house hunting. Just thinking about it made her so happy that she was in a very good mood when she reached the lounge.

When she left the hotel, she saw a familiar car approaching and she smiled. To be honest she had really missed him.

J saw K smiling and he knew that he was safe. His lady wasn’t mad at him which made him feel at ease. He gave a hug and a kiss lightly on her lips before he took her to the car.

“I missed this car,” she said as she looked around.

“I missed you,” he couldn’t help but say it aloud as he looked at her.

“Good that you did or else I will cut ties with you,” she smiled at him warmly.

“So where do you want to go?”

“Help me look for a place to live first, the more expensive and quieter the better,” she answered while locking gaze with him.

B.B was surprised to hear such a request from her. He didn’t know that she had a lot of money to request for an expensive place but it wasn’t time for him to pry just yet.

“I know just the person to help you with that,” he said with an assuring smile and she smiled back at him.

The two harmoniously talked about life as B.B drove K to the real estate agent that he used when he bought his villa years ago. He didn’t know the exact villa that K was looking for but that man was knowledgeable in that area. The sooner he solves the problem the earlier he gets the date he was looking for.

Finally, the car stopped in front of a building and the two got off. B.B led his lady inside the building and he was welcomed by the man himself.

“You should have told me that you wanted to see me and I would have come to you myself,” the man spoke politely and one could see that he was fawning over B.B.

“It was just a last-minute thing. My lady here wants to look at houses,” B.B went straight to point and the man turned his head to look at K who had been quiet ever since they walked into the office.

“Ohh that is easy, I have the latest ones that just got onto the market. Which range are we talking about?”

“Babe, tell him,” B.B passed the description to K since he didn’t want to mess things up.

“I need something big; it should be somewhere quiet. I love my privacy a lot,” K said as he looked at the man.

The man contemplated for a while and went through the portfolio that he had but nothing of that sort came up but when he remembered about the few mansions on sale with the same criteria she was looking for, he decided to just show it to her. Even if she couldn’t afford it maybe B.B will bill it for her.

“I might have something for you here but these are mansions. What do you think?” the man asked K with expectant eyes.

When K heard about it, she looked happy. A mansion can also do, what she didn’t lack at the moment was money. Even if she uses it all she can just get it back in just a few days.

“Show me,” K said smilingly.

Seeing that she didn’t mind he quickly gave her the file with the mansions that were on sale.

B.B was seated next to K so he could see clearly the joy flashing in her eyes as she looked through the file of the mansions that were on sale.

K was having a great time, if she had known that they were so cheap she would have bought one long ago and added a few more. She looked at the five mansions but one attracted her the most.

“I love this one,” she said as she pointed at a white mansion located on top of the mountain while showing B.B the other person that will be living in the mansion in the future.

“Are you sure about it?” he asked sounding her out not because he didn’t like it but the price was just taunting and it was isolated.

“Umm, I like it. I want to see it,” K said as she looked at the man who was gawking his eyes at her as if what he had just heard was impossible.

“There are some issues with the mansion, are you sure you want it?”

“What kind of issues?”

“There are just rumors, they say that it is haunted and many people had testified to it which is why the mansion had not been sold for ten years now.”

“I don’t believe in ghosts and even if they are there, I am much scarier than them. Take me to see it and if it is good and I like it, I will pay you cash,” K said with conviction as she closed the file.

B.B and the man seeing that the lady had set her heart on the mansion they could only take her to see the mansion. For the man, this was going to be the breakthrough he wanted. The commission will be huge and since she had said cash, this was just huge.

B.B kept telling K about the stories related to the mansion on the way and this didn’t stop K from changing her mind but made her more interested in buying it further.

When they went through the gates and drove towards the lonely mansion surrounded by gardens that needed caring, K felt like she was at home. She could sense the eerie energy surrounding the mansion but it will only take her just a day to get rid of this dark energy and cleanse the whole place.

She was even sure that if she finds the dark energy and refine it, her cultivation will even soar higher. The mansion was huge with a total of ten bedrooms including the master bedroom and the walk-in closet for the master bedroom, the study, a banquet hall, a huge kitchen, two sitting rooms, one dining room, one lounge, a bar, cinema room, pantry, laundry room, gym room, game room, a studio, one indoor and outdoor swimming pool, a Jacuzzi, a salon and a powder room.

The mansion was a typical old-style mansion and she just loves it, three bedrooms for her and her men, the rest for her family and friends. As for the servants, there was a villa behind the mansion which could house a number of staff. After seeing the mansion in person, she could now see the reason why it was being sold for fifty million despites being haunted.

From what she had heard it was even higher than this but with years it completely came to this price and she happens to have enough money to get it.

“It’s beautiful and big. Since it is located on the top, it will be much quieter; which is the best condition that I am looking for,” K said praising the mansion with all her heart.

“I am glad that you like it. Do you still want to buy it?”

“Yes, let’s sign the contract today. I have a lot of things to do so I won’t have time to do this some other day.”

“Okay then, let me call the owner and we will meet at the office,” the man said and immediately called the owner that the mansion had found a buyer.

B.B drove his lady back to the real estate agency and listened to K as she spoke about the mansion.

“You don’t have to worry about the haunting nonsense. That energy is good for me and it can also aid you in the future once I set you on the path of cultivation.”

“You want me to cultivate like you?” he couldn’t believe that she was willing to impart some techniques to him.

“You are my man and I plan on living for a very long time and that means with you and J by my side,” B.B froze when he heard about J, why was she speaking as if she knew everything?

“I know that the two of you met and you are now besties. This makes things easy for me. This will be our home once everything is done and you both don’t have to worry, for I don’t plan on taking others. I just need the two of you, one day you will understand,” as if she was compensating him, she planted a kiss on his cheek.

There really wasn’t anything you can hide from a cultivator. If J heard this, he will surely crawl, just thinking about his shock made B.B feel a bit better.

In just a few hours B.B discovered that K was different from the other girls he had been with and seen. She was a young girl but she had a focus and a goal, something that others didn’t have.

When others were thinking of how to marry into rich families, she was thinking about how to make more money seeing how easily she spends money. On this simple journey, he could tell that she was richer than him. If people could hear him saying this, they would think that he was crazy but only he and J were probably the two that had awareness of this young girl’s abilities.

He didn’t feel inferior at all but he felt that he was lucky that such a girl was willing to be with him and she was genuine. For her sake and their future, he was going to be serious about life and become someone who was worthy of her.

When they arrived at the office, a middle-aged man was waiting impatiently for them. He still couldn’t believe that someone wanted to buy that haunted place even for cash. He had lived in the house for ten years and yet he aged very faster.

It was difficult to sleep, there was no peace in the mansion, and yet after being told all that the buyer still went along with the decision?

When he saw B.B he was taken back as he didn’t know the reason why this young master had anything to do with the mansion but when he saw the young beautiful girl by his side he understood.

For beauty, one can do willful things just like his father who built that mansion for his mother and in the end, they still failed to live in it.

“Mr. Barnes, this is Ms. Krystal the one who is interested in buying the mansion. Everything had been settled and she wanted to sign the papers as soon as possible,” the man spoke relaying K’s thoughts exactly.

“Is that so? Then let’s do it then, I wouldn’t want to keep you,” Mr. Barnes agreed quickly as he was afraid that she may change her mind at the last minute.

K saw the anxiousness of the man but ignored it, she would act the same if she was in his shoes too. K transferred the money to Mr. Barnes's account and signed the mansion’s property deed.

With everything notarized, it was going to take just a few days to change the ownership officially and since she still had some more days to play in the capital she could wait.

“Thank you,” the man said with teary eyes. K could understand how hard it must have been for them. Having so much money tied up in a haunted house must have been very daunting.

“You are welcome, I will take great care of it,” she assured the man and watched him leave rushed.

After that K raised her concern about renovating the whole mansion. As much as she likes it, it didn’t mean that she was just going to move into that house the way it was currently.

“I will help you with some interior decorators, they are good at their jobs,” the man spoke eagerly and K was satisfied.

“Babe, you get into contact with them and we will take it from there.”

Since his lady had spoken, he dealt with the issue immediately and the two left for their date after a number of hours had passed.
