CHAPTER 27: MISSION AND SUB-MISSION

Krystal had been in a very good mood since Pixyfly recorded such high sales that she didn’t imagine. On the first day more than half of the gowns were sold which led her to purchase a number of gowns in the mall to send to the boutique since she didn’t want to keep her clients waiting.

As long as they were willing to buy then she will continue to sell. She needed to earn a lot of money to level up otherwise she will remain on the same level, she needed more things to get unlocked and more rewards.

As a result, she sent thirty more gowns to Pixyfly. She had notified Olivia that as long as the gowns get to half then she should inform her in advance in order for her to take another order.

Seeing millions dropping in her account, she felt elated but when she heard that notification sound from the mission hall, she knew that it was time for her to get down to business. It has been a long since she took on a mission and it will be good for her to take one.

When she reached the mission hall and looked at the mission board, she found very interesting missions. There were three missions, one main mission, and two sub-missions.

MAIN MISSION: GATHER TEN CRATES OF SPIRIT STONES

Reward: Divine egg (three eggs will be given in which after hatching the host can obtain a divine beast or a pet)

SUB-MISSION 1: BECOME A SONGWRITER
Reward: Movie script

SUB-MISSION 2: MAKE J FAMOUS
Reward: favorable points (can be used to increase the host’s attributes)
Krystal smiled as she read through the board, even though she couldn’t get any crystals this time by completing the missions she knew just how important the rewards were.

The missions she accepted them all since it was not that hard for her. She left the Tycoon mall and appeared in her study where she took out her small diary and began to note down some strategies on how to complete these missions.

Since there was no time limit for the main mission, she had decided to take the sub-missions first as they were of utter importance. As a huge fan of J, she was determined to help the young man and see him soar high.

She didn’t need to rake her head for songs for she can just visit the music store and pick a number of CDs and lyrics book. Why should she suffer when she can just use some crystals to solve the problem?

As for the spirit stones, she needed to use the treasure map to search for the locations where she could find such stones since she had never seen them. This requires her to visit the bookstore to gather more information.

After noting everything down, K decided to deal with the songwriting issue so she visited the music store. She looked at the genres available in the store and didn’t lament. J was more a pop musician, even though there were times he will sing some blue songs making her shudder with emotions.

She picked ten CDs and paid for them before she appeared in the study once more. Using her laptop, she transferred the music to her phone before placing the CDs on one of the shelves.

She played the first CD and began to listen to the songs. This was repeated until she finished the whole CD’s. Her job was done after being a music fan for hours and in those hours, she had noted down the songs she finds appropriate for J.

After noting the songs down, K transferred one of the songs to a blank CD and decided to mail it to J’s agency. If he likes it then she will send him the rest of the songs for a good price of cause.

When she was done with the songs issue, she retired from bed since she had classes the next day.

As usual, the next day she did her morning run, cleaned herself up, and ate another healthy breakfast before biding Aunt Grace goodbye. The taxi was already waiting for her so it was easy to go to school.

When she arrived, she was welcomed by a happy Flora who has been waiting for her for some minutes. The two god-sisters walked together to their classes and separated to their respective classes.

The teachers were happy and satisfied with how K carried herself. Despite the improvement she had shown during the few months she had come to Riverside; she had never flaunted herself or acted mighty. Her love for reading touched the other students that they began to copy her.

During class everyone will pay attentively to the teachers, they did their homework, asked questions as well as answers when the teacher asks. After school K went back to her villa with Flora who wanted some help with homework which was quite crazy because Flora was a good student.

She couldn’t expose the girl after such a meticulous scheme. Was it so hard to just ask to come to her house and play?

She just pretends as if she wasn’t aware and the two went to the villa complex. Aunt Grace was still there, so she had prepared food for two before the two went to her bedroom.

It was the first time that Flora had been in her villa ever since the two got to know each other.

“This place is great. I really envy you,” K laughed as she watched Flo sulking and pouting her mouth cutely.

“What is there for you to envy?”

“You have your own space and you can do whatever you want. At your age, you are even making your own money. How can I not envy you?”

“That isn’t something that you should be envious about. I live alone because those people abandoned me so I have no choice. As for business, you can open yours if you want, no one can stop you. You should rely on yourself sometimes. The taste of making your own money is great.”

“Umm I agree with you, I will think of something and tell you what I want to do. As long as you support me, mom will not disagree,” Flo spoke smilingly as she visions the future in her head already.

This made K smile lovingly at the other girl. Being spoiled too much was a problem sometimes. K changed her uniform for a simple green dress and home slippers before taking Flora to her study where the two will be doing their homework.

K let Flo look around the study since all the important things had been carefully hidden. While Flo did her thing, K checked through her email and saw that her mail had been sent to J in the morning and by the next day it will be with him.

She could have sent it via email but she decided to go to the old school. What she loved about the songs was the fact that they didn’t exist on this plane and she can just pass them as hers. As someone who was planning on being a ghostwriter and never being seen live, she had nothing to fear.

The next thing she did while Flo began with her homework, was to write down the lyrics of the songs she didn’t pick for J as she was planning on selling them to other artists. With so many songs, she couldn’t just keep them to herself. She was someone who was hungry for money and the sooner she gets richer the better.

After finishing five songs, she decided to take a break and look at her own homework. What she never expected was to meet a shocked Flora which made her question herself just what horrors the young lady of the Holmes had experienced in that short time.

“What happened to you?” she couldn’t help but ask.

“You can write songs too?” Flora couldn’t believe it but it was right in front of her.

She had watched as K wrote down lyrics she had never seen or heard before at a very fast pace that she stopped writing her own homework. Hearing this made K chuckle and flash with embarrassment, she really didn’t want to get caught but she did in the end.

“Umm, I decided to make some pocket money on the side. After all, I can’t just rely on one thing,” K answered after sieving her answer.

Flora gave her a thumbs up before approaching her to read through the lyrics.

“You surely are talented. So where are you planning on sending them?’

“I have a few agencies I am planning on sending them to,” K said as she continued the final process.

She sent five songs to five different agencies with a secondary IONIQ account, a social media platform. Seeing that K was done with what she spoke about, she felt admiration towards her. She was very decisive unlike her.

It usually takes her a long time to just conclude and yet K when she says she wants to do this she will do it without hesitations. She had witnessed it several times lately and she silently vowed to herself to follow in her footsteps.

After dealing with the songs issue, K finally began to do her homework and soon the study was quiet, the only sound heard was that of pages being flipped here and then.

This atmosphere was disturbed by Aunt Grace who came to inform them about dinner and since the two were starving, they rushed quickly to the dining room where food was already served.
