CHAPTER 72: THE WEDDING

K was nervous so when it was time for her to go and walk down the aisle, she calmed herself and stood at the door waiting for her name to be announced. She was going to walk by herself down to the aisle which was a bit difficult but who was she?

She wasn’t going to let this anxiety, mess things up for her. As K was standing there in deep thoughts, she sensed a familiar aura that made her heartbeat loudly. She looked back and a tear dropped down her cheek as she looked at the gentleman wearing a black tuxedo looking very handsome like the last time, she saw him.

“M-Mason!” she called out softly to her brother who was smiling at her with teary eyes.

“Finally, I get to see you,” Mason choked up before hugging her in a tight embrace.

The two siblings hugged each other for a while K teared up. Mason had to wipe her tears away and it was a good thing that her makeup was waterproof so her face didn’t get messed up.

After calming herself K wiped her tears and her face returned to normal as if she didn’t cry at all. Mason didn’t find this shocking as he heard from his brothers-in-law about how extraordinary his sister was.

“It's good that you are here. I will never leave you again,” K made a vow and Mason held his hand tightly.

Even if she didn’t say it, he was not going to let her go as losing her for the third time will break him and make him insane.

“You look, beautiful dear sis,” Mason complimented her which made the older woman in the body of a young woman blush.

“Thanks.”

The two siblings talked for a while and they became comfortable around each other and finally, it was time for the bride to walk in.

“I am here, just be at ease,” Mason comforted him as he took her inside the hall which was filled with a number of familiar faces.

K beamed up with happiness as she saw Peter and his family, the mothers in law and two friends of J and B.B. k looked to the front where her men were standing both wearing black tuxedos that fits them well like some glove. Her head began to imagine a number of nasty things and she liked it.

Seeing their bride walking towards them made them feel happy and blessed to have met someone like her. When K stood right in front of them, they both thanked Mason who gave her hand to them.

K was now in the middle of the two as they all faced the officiator who began to speak. The good thing about getting married in the Independent State was the process was very fast and efficient.

Five minutes later most of the boring things had been said and it was time for the vows.

J: I fell for you the second I began to talk to you and at that moment I didn’t care whether you were male or female, I just wanted to be with you and as fate can have it, you had the same feelings for me too which made me the happiest man in the world.

The only thing I did right in this life was to meet you and fall for you. I have many shortcomings but I swear upon my life that I will prove to you with my life and show you that you made the right choice. I love you Krystal and will always do. Thank you for walking into my life.

B. B: J swallowed my words there but I want you to know that I don’t regret that night when we met. I first thought that you were the most arrogant person I have ever met but after knowing you I feel lucky and glad that I got to meet you. I love you Krystal so let’s all live together for eternity and cherish every second that we have.

“You guys,” K chocked and wiped the tears streaming down her cheeks, “I don’t have many words to say but to say that I love you both and nothing will make me think otherwise. Let’s be happy and cherish every second like it’s our last.”

The guests applauded after the vows were made and lastly it was time for the rings. The three put on their rings they had before since they held some sentimental.

“I now pronounce you husbands and wife, you may now take your time to kiss your bride,” the officiator was truly a jokester. He made everyone cheer and laugh.

The bridegrooms kissed their wife respectively earning cheers from the guests once more.

Because K was married to two men, she took both of their last names that she was going to add when they return back to Edji. Marriages held in the Independent State were recognized worldwide so she was safe.

After the wedding ceremony, they returned to the hotel where the reception was being held. K changed into something more comfortable and received congratulatory remarks from everyone. She kept a smile on her face all the time as she was sincerely happy and thrilled.

This was a huge day for her and she was happy that she had her family with her on such an important day.

K sat with her brother Mason who narrated to her what happened and she felt truly touched. To think that they searched for Mason behind her back and convinced him was so intriguing.

“I didn’t want to believe that you abandoned me that night so I kept on hoping that one day you will come to me and find me. Years passed and I finally got to see you but it was your back so I thought I just missed you terribly and hallucinated.

There were many scenarios like that and I began to believe that you were in the shadows looking at me from afar and it pained me. The day I got to confront you, you denied me and it hurt me so bad but after thinking about it for days I had a revelation and thought that maybe you were in a dangerous place and couldn’t expose yourself.

Ever since the day I thought of that I calmed myself down and waited for the days you will show up and you never disappointed me,” Mason spoke emotionally as he rubbed her hands with his, “I was happy to know that you never forgot about me and you kept an eye on me and my family.

As long as I can see you even if it was just a few times a year, I didn’t mind and then you stopped showing up. I was worried I didn’t know what happened to you but after a year I found out that you were in prison for drugs. It shocked me but knowing that you will come out made me have some peace but it didn’t take long before I heard the news that you died.”

Mason’s hold on her was very strong but it didn’t hurt as this was more of a tickle to her. She could tell from his grip that he was traumatized because of that and she felt very bad about it.

K touched her brother’s face with her fingers and said, “I am sorry Massie, I wanted to meet you so bad but I didn’t want to put you in danger. I went to prison because I wanted to escape that kind of lifestyle. I wanted to live on a fresh page with you but I never expected to die before I could achieve that.

Coming back to life in this body gave me another chance in life and I vowed that in this lifetime I will be strong enough to come to you and live with you. I just never expected to be so weak that I lacked all the courage and wit to face you. I am sorry for being a coward. I thought that you will reject me and blame me.”

“I forgave you a very long time ago sis. I am just happy that you are here now. You found yourself some good men there, they love you a lot and I am happy for you. In this lifetime please be happy and don’t leave me ever again,” Mason said and the two hugged each other.

Everyone didn’t interfere in this reunion and let the two enjoy some time alone. On the other side, the friends were making fun of the bridegrooms while the mothers couldn’t stop talking about grandchildren.

Since they were now married there was no need to fear any children borne out of wedlock. As for Peter and his family, they were happy to see their young miss happy like this. It was truly a good day and everyone was happy.
