CHAPTER 75: FINALE

The exhausting time for the students finally came to an end and everyone was now anxious about the results. When they came out everyone rushed to check whether they passed and could get admitted into their dream colleges.

Among one those people were Flora who did well in her exams all the time but for a certain reason, she was a bit scared as she didn’t want to receive an earful from her god sister.

“What are you scared of? Just open it,” Annie encouraged her daughter and clicked the screen.

Flora was nervous but it quickly disappeared as she passed the mark and got 935 out of 1200. She was in the top one hundred which was a huge relief, this year’s exams were hard than before.

After checking her own results, she was now curious about Krystal’s and when she searched for it, she was shocked. Krystal simply broke a record.

“Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, yessss!”

Annie hearing her daughter screaming like a crazy person immediately looked at the screen and she wiped her eyes to check if she was dreaming.

“Is this true?”

“Yes, it is true. Let me call her and ask,” Flora quickly said and took out her phone.

It didn’t take long before the call was answered and a gorgeous face appeared from the other side. Flora choked as she was looking directly at her idol J who seemed to be in a good mood.

“You must be Flora, K’s god sister. I am J, her husband,” Flora was seeing stars as J introduced himself. The title husband just made her want to scream so loud but she had to be sophisticated otherwise she will shame her sister.

“Hi, it’s nice to finally meet you. Where is K?”

“She is sleeping and will not be able to talk to you at the moment.is there something urgent you want from her?”

“I just wanted to tell her that I passed and want to come over now. And also, if she really took first in the whole nation. Just saw the results.”

“Oh, that! Yes, that’s true. Our dearest really did it. She told me that you can come at any time. She will be happy to see you,” J politely spoke but anyone could see how proud he looked.

This made Annie who was listening feel happy. She was glad that her goddaughter found people who cared for her even though she was a bit mad that she didn’t invite them to the wedding.

“Oh, mom wants to host a party for her. Is it possible for her to come over this side?”

“Let’s hear from her when she wakes up then,” J said.

“Okay, I will wait for you.”

After ending the call J looked at his wife who was sleeping on the hospital bed. If he had not been home, then he wouldn’t have known that they have finally achieved their dream.

B.B walked in with a plastic bag of fruits wearing a happy smile on his face.

“Can’t you just wipe that smile off your face?”

“Don’t tell me that you aren’t happy like me?”

“I am so happy that I don’t know what to do.”

“Then work less and spend time with our wife.”

“The same goes to you.”

The two took care of their wife until she was released from the hospital. Who knew the mothers would come and settled down in the mansion with them? K could only laugh and be happy with them.

Having so much attention to herself was actually exhilarating. She felt at home and that everything was going great. Since her god family wanted to host a party for her, she decided to return to Dielas which nearly became impossible thanks to the anxious mothers-in-law. As a result, she let the mothers' tag along and the party became huge.

The family including Mason and his family joined the trip to Dielas which was more of a surprise that K decided. She wanted to see that shocked look on Flora’s face when she arrived.

Because of her special circumstances which weren’t affecting her at all, K was free without holding anything including her own cell phone. The excuse given by her husband was that it was heavy and they should carry it.

Since they wanted to pamper her, she didn’t mind and let them do whatever they wanted. What she wanted to eat she was given immediately and her mothers in law were very active when it comes to the kitchen matters.

When the family arrived and booked several suites at the hotel, K decided to drop by at the Holmes mansion for a big surprise.

Flora was bored at home so she never expected to see a familiar face through the window at the gate. Annie simply saw her daughter running out of the mansion at a lightning speed which attracted her. There were not many things that made Flora happy so she was very curious about it.

When she was outside, she couldn’t help but beamed up with happiness, this was truly a huge surprise. Watching her daughter in a warm hug with Krystal she had not seen for over five months was just great.

What was even greater were the two gorgeous and handsome men by her side. Her goddaughter had a great eye for everything.

“Godmother!” she called out happily at her before she walked carefully under the gaze of her husband.

Annie raised her eyes questioning what was happening, there was only one reason why these men will be that anxious with such a silly thing. She didn’t know whether to laugh or cry, be happy or be sad but as long as Krystal was happy then she was okay with it.

“Come here child,” Annie smiled at K brightly and opened her arms wide.

The two hugged each other for a while before K made the introduction, “Godmother meet my husband, Jackson Stuart and Byron Barnes. Dears meet my godmother Annie and god sister Flora Holmes.”

“It’s nice to finally meet you in person Annie and Flora,” the boys said with their voices full of respect. It was this family that stood by their wife’s side when the world was persecuting her so they earned their respect.

“It's nice meeting you. Let us all go inside and meet the rest of the family,” Annie spoke as she led K slowly back into the mansion.

Flora who saw this unusual scene couldn’t help but raise her eyebrows with confusion. Just what was happening with her mother and everyone?

That question was answered when they were inside after meeting everyone and getting acquainted.

“I wanted to tell you in person that I-I’m three months pregnant and you will be having a grandchild soon,” Krystal finally said the news that Annie had been waiting to hear for like forever.

Hearing this news everyone was happy as there was no reason for them to be sad. Since they know Krystal, they understand that she will never do anything that she wasn’t ready for, so they wished her well.

Flora was over the moon as she was going to be an aunt soon. There was so much happy news to celebrate. And as everyone was having some champagne and Krystal juice an important call came in.

“The school will love to have you on full scholarship.”

Hearing this K smiled and shared the happy news with everyone. Krystal looked at the people surrounding her and felt blessed. It’s been around a year since she was given a second chance in life and in that time so many things had happened. Some were bad but most of them were good that led to good memories.

She was glad that she got to meet everyone around her, she was happy that she got to live the kind of life she dreamt of in her former life. She received a god family that loved her like their own, in-laws that love and pampers her like their own daughter, and husbands that worship the road that she walks on.

In just a period of weeks she found out that she was pregnant something she had been looking forward to for a while and it seems like she conceived during her great honeymoon period, she became number one in the whole nation and got every college to fight for her. If it wasn’t because she took a liking to Mr. Thomas who approached her before the results came in, would have chosen any college and drove others crazy.

To be able to be with the people she loves and who feel the same way for her in return was a great and heavenly blessing. She was truly grateful. Looking at them talking and laughing as if they had known each other for decades, what more could she ask for?

When given a second chance in life, one should cherish it as the blessing is not given to anyone. Even when you don’t receive a second chance, one should simply cherish every second of their life as anything can happen.

Krystal vowed to herself that she will not let anything harm or take this happiness away from her. She will do anything in her power to keep this around and for a very long time.
