Chapter 10

"The headmistress is calling us." Copelan said to us.

I looked to his left and right. Where are the others? He seemed to know what I wanted to ask because he spoke, "They went first. Vandel just ordered me to go tell them to both of you." he added.

Sandra and I stood up quickly. I didn't bother to move or fix myself because I could feel their tension and seriousness. Copelan opened the door for us, and we immediately walked faster than we could. They seem serious. Sandra's previously smiling face is now serious.

Upon arrival, Copelan opened the door and entered, while Sandra and I followed him inside. The headmistress, as well as the other elites, turned their heads to us. Sandra sat with them on the left side, and Copelan sat on the right side together with Relm. I chose to sit next to Sandra and face Headmistress.

"Okay, now that everyone's here, There's something you need to see. " headmistress said to us.

She instantly got a paper out of her desk and put it on the table. It is a piece of shiny brown paper with a sweet scent on it. There are words written on it, but I cannot see them clearly.

Vandel took it. His forehead narrowed. "Is this a treat?" he asked.

Because of what he said, they also frowned.

"I doubt it." The Headmistress seemed to think thoughtfully.

Then Vandel read it aloud.

'It has no hands nor feet, but it's running.'

'What if I tell you that everything I tell you is a lie?Am I telling you the truth or a lie?'

'She has a prince, a knight in shining armor, but he's not into her.'

What is it? Find me!

I silently observed them. Their foreheads furrowed, Sandra's eyebrows rose, Relm seems not to understand, Vandel is thinking deeply, Elara is quiet, the Princess is looking at the Headmistress.

"What was the meaning of that?" the princess suddenly asked.

"I don't know, we don't know. That is why I called you all to solve this. I have a bad feeling about this!" The headmistress answered.

"How did you get that headmistress?" Elara suddenly spoke.

The headmistress faces her. "I got this paper awhile ago. I was about to leave here when I stepped on a piece of paper at the door. "

"Does it mean that the person who sent that was from here, in the academy?" Sandra asked.

"It can be, but it can not be. We don't know. But one thing is for sure, this paper had a purpose or message for us. " Headmistress stated.

"What are we going to do, Headmistress?" Relm asked gently.

"We should do something!" the princess insisted.

"After how many years, this was the first disturbance that we had. I don't know if it is a treat or not, but one thing is for sure, we have to move. This is my very first time saying this, but Elites, you have your first mission. " The Headmistress said to us

They couldn't believe it. Their mouths are completely agape.

"Why? Is this really serious? " Elara asked.

"Yes, I've been guiding all of you for years, yet this paper disturbs our peace. We need to do something about this!" The Headmistress responded.

"What are we going to do?" I asked.

"You are all going to Bora," the headmistress stated.

They seem to be active. "Find my apprentice, my friend. She will help us with this. "

"What's her name?" I asked, confused.

She looked up as if she was thinking deeply. "She's Violet Stone," she sighed. "It's been a long time since we last saw each other, but I can assure you that she is still alive. She lives quietly in Bora. So pack up and go to Bora right now. Princess, I advised you to stay here. You are safer here inside the academy," she added.

"No! I want to help. I don't want to just sit here alone!" she insists.

"This is not a normal journey, princess." answered the Headmistress.

She looked at us. "It will be more than a day before you get there. First, you will ride in the vehicle I will prepare. Second, you will have to cross the forest near the gate to Bora, and then you will walk. Try not to be caught at night, but if you are, stop and spend the night in the forest; it's too dangerous to walk at night. And finally, after you cross the forest near Bora, outside of it you will see the place called Bora."

She looked at the princess. "This journey is too dangerous for you, princess. You know, we don't want you to get hurt. " The Headmistress added gently.

"I know the Headmistress. But, I really want to help them. Don't worry, we'll be careful. "She pleaded.

The Headmistress sighed that makes thePrincess smiled.

"Wait! Headmistress, do you have pictures of Violet Stone? Elara asked softly.

She breathed deeply. "Sadly, I don't have But one thing is for sure, she has violet hair. "

After she said those words, we bid our goodbyes. We made our way out in silence, as if they were still processing what was happening now. I just remained silent when Vandel suddenly walked beside me.

I looked at him confused.

"Have you eaten?" he asked.

"Yes, I baked cookies earlier."

He seemed attentive after I said the word cookies. I silently laughed. Cookies are his favourite.

"Don't worry, I cooked a lot in the kitchen."

After I said that, he walked faster than the others. I laughed hard.

"Hey! What happened to you? " Sandra asked me in surprise.

I just shrugged.

"You're really weird!" She said

"Hey, I heard that! Incase you forgot, that you cried earlier! " I said, laughing.

She rolled her eyes. "Don't say that!"

I laughed when she frowned.

I looked ahead to see Elara and the Princess walking quietly. While Relm was babbling to Copelan, who had no clue if he was listening, I just pulled Sandra to keep up with them.

When they got to the dorm, they chose to go upstairs to get ready while I went through the kitchen first. I smiled when I saw nothing at the table. Vandel has taken all the cookies. such a glutton.

I decided to get ready. I just took some clothes and put them in the bag. I don't know what Bora will reveal to us because I have never been there.

We were riding in a carriage. Sandra, Copelan, and I were on the right side while the Princess, Elara, and Relm were on the opposite side of us, while Vandel was in front with the coachman driving it.

When Vandel suddenly peeked through the small hole between us, "Sleep first, the Bora forest is far away," he told us.

We nod our heads and we settle into our places. Some are already closing their eyes. Sandra was leaning on my arm. Copelan just closed his eyes in his place. The Princess was also leaning on Elara's arm while Elara just closed her eyes. I looked at Relm. He was smiling, looking outside.

"Can't sleep?" I asked him gently.

He looked at me but also looked outside. "I want to see the road to Bora. You Meliora?"

"I'm not sleepy."

He just nodded.

We have been riding here for more than two hours. The Relm who had been looking out had fallen asleep in his seat. I silently laughed.

When I fixed my eyes on the window, I saw a forest. Before entering, our car stopped. I believed that we were already at the edge of the forest. I scan the whole place. Two meters away from us, there is a huge forest. I could barely see how far it was and how wide it was. I looked at the sky. It was orange. It was about to get dark.

The door opened. "We're here." Vandel announced.

I woke them up one by one. "We're here." I said and went down before them.

"Let's spend the night here." I told Vandel.

He nodded at me. "Yes, we are safe if we travel in the daytime."

We made our way into the forest, carrying the things we had brought.

This forest is so quiet. Even if the steps we have on the leaves, you can hear them. There are no birds chirping, no wind rustling the leaves and trees, and you won't see any animals wandering around. Almost all the trees are equally tall and fat. It feels like they were measured equally. It was really strange. Luckily, there is some light that can pass through the trees. All we need to do is to find a place, a safe place.

"We can sleep there." Elara pointed to the tree near us.

We all agreed. We went towards it.

My eyes widened in disbelief. The tree that Elara pointed to earlier was not a tree. It was a plant. It was green. Its stems were not tiny nor fat, but what was strange was that its leaves were square. It goes around, making a circle inside it. Its leaves seem to serve as protection from the heat or rain. It looks like a round house made of plants in the middle of the forest.

"Wow! This is cool! " Sandra stated Indeed, it was.

"I'm just seeing it now!" Relm said as he looked at the plants one by one.

"Find your place," Vandel said.

I chose the right side while Sandra followed me. While Relm went to the west side, Copelan went to the south side, and Vandel chose the left side.

"Princess, you should be at the center." I suggested

"Yes, I agree with Meliora. "You must be in the middle, Eliora. Elara said.

She nodded, "If you say so, come with me, Elara." She said softly to Elara. Elara nodded.

Thankfully, there are leaves on the ground that I think are from this plant. We split it up to make a bed.

I looked at Sandra, who was just looking at them silently. She smiled sadly. I sighed.

I patted her shoulder. "Don't cry there!"

She snorted. "Why would I cry? Shut up Meliora! "she said and rolled her eyes.

I laughed.
