Chapter 37
"That was faster than I expected." The Princess said.
Indeed, it was. I also thought that the book was in some hideous part and that we needed to find it in the entire academy, but it wasn't. Still, it is a good thing.
Vandel took it and hid it. They sat on the sofa, and tiredness was visible on their faces.
"Are we going home tomorrow?" Sandra asked while resting her head on the sofa.
"I want to tour the academy." Relm said with a sneer. He looked at Vandel with a pitying look. I silently chuckled.
"I like it too." Sandra said and looked at Vandel.
Vandel sighed heavily as the two said "yes". I also want to stay for a while. I want to talk to Rogue about why he has mythical creatures. Who gave it to him? Did he take it? I need to know the answer because I can't keep quiet if I can't find an answer.
I stood up and looked at them. "I'll rest first." I told them. I didn't waste time listening to their answer and went up first.
I open the door and rest beside the bed. After a minute, I choose to go to the bathroom to take a bath and change clothes. I quickly return to bed and lie down.
I stared intently at the ceiling of the room. The book was in our hands. We can get back to Tamora, and I have to do what I had to do before. But, how do I get it? How do I tell everyone? as well as whether they will believe me.Hundreds of thoughts keep crossing my mind, yet I still don't know the answer.
A strong gust of wind yanked my blanket away from me.When I looked where it came from, the window was open. I slowly stood up and headed towards it. I was about to close it when I was suddenly stopped.
The scenery was so magical. It was getting late at night and the colors of orange, yellow, and black were mixing in the sky, but I still couldn't avoid how beautiful it was to look at. I smile silently as I close the window.
Maybe I should take a rest, and I know that's what others do too. I close my eyes and wait until I fall asleep.
I woke up when Sandra suddenly jumped at me while I was still in bed. I looked at her intently, but she just laughed at me. She was still jumping on my bed, so I couldn't do anything but stand up.
"Hurry up Meli, they left a while ago." She frowned at what she said.
"What? They left? "
"Duh! It was noon already," she said and rolled her eyes.
I flung open the window. The sun was so bright that I didn't even notice. I chose to go to the bathroom to take a shower and get dressed.
I comb my hair while staring at myself in the mirror. When I felt that I was presentable, I went to Sandra's place where she was sitting on my bed.
"Let's go." I said as I opened the door widely.
I went out first and she followed me. I even heard her close the door before clinging to me. We went down the stairs and they were all really gone.
"Where are they?" I asked.
We slowly walked out of the dorm.
"They're in the cafeteria. Kara is hungry and you're not awake yet, so they went to the cafeteria first."
I snorted at her answer. People who don't know how to cook!
"W-wait? Do they know the way? "
"Duh! It's easy to ask Meliora," she said, and called out to a woman sitting under a tree.
When she saw that we called her, she quickly stood up and was about to run when I stopped her. She gave me a scared look.
I heaved a sigh. "Don't worry, we'll just ask you." I said to her and let go of her hand.
Sandra looked at her. "Where is the cafeteria here?"
"A-ah. Just follow this road and then turn left," she answered.
We nodded at her. We started walking in the middle. I can still feel the stares and whispers of the other students here. Just like when we first came here, other students are now standing and sitting in front of the gate to receive a message from outside. They deliberately look away when I look at them.
When Sandra burst out laughing, I ignored her and continued walking. But she didn't, so I grabbed her arm.
"What happened to you?"
She rubbed her neck. "Meliora!" She looked at the student outside. "Look at those students they said were weak at first, but what are they now?" She confidently said. I just shook my head at her answer.
I didn't answer her anymore and looked at the road. We turned left until we saw the cafeteria. It has a glass wall, so you can see the people eating inside. Sandra opened the door and we casually walked inside.
The previously noisy students suddenly became quiet; all their eyes suddenly looked at us. I looked around to find Vandel when I saw Relm waving. They sat in the far corner of the cafeteria, away from other students. We immediately went there and they voluntarily returned to the way they were before.
"What took you so long?" Copelan asked immediately after we sat down.
"Ask Meliora! I woke her up! " Sandra's answer made me snort. I just looked around the cafeteria. Their cafeteria looks very exquisite. In Tamora, every color is matched. Here, all the colors are the same. They also have waiters and waitresses who take the orders as well as deliver them. It's like a restaurant.
I looked up at the students. The others eating here were participating in yesterday's contest, but there was no sign of fatigue, wounds, or bruises on them. They were eating energetically. I looked around. Where are the Alpha and Clover groups? They are the only ones I haven't seen today.
Suddenly, a woman came, carrying our orders. We started eating as soon as she landed. We ate in silence while Sandra, Relm, Elara, and the Princess talked.
When the large cafeteria door opened, the group I had been looking for entered. The students fell silent as they walked forward to the center and sat down. Fortunately, we were in a hidden part of the cafeteria.
I look at Rogue, and his eyes are wandering around the cafeteria. I just focused my attention on my food. I will talk to him later.
I frowned when they became silent, and Sandra looked behind me in surprise. I turn around in the back and notice Rogue staring at me.I looked at him confused, but he just chuckled, leaving everyone's mouth open.
"May I talk to you?" he said directly to me.
Right I forgot I needed to talk to him too. I immediately stood up. He started to walk out of the cafeteria. I was about to follow when Vandel grabbed my hand.
I look at him. "We were just talking."
"Do we have to come?"
"No, it's okay." I said to him.
He let go of my hand, so I went out to the cafeteria where Rogue was waiting.
"Who gave you?" I asked as soon as I got outside.
"I know that's what you're going to ask," he chuckled.
"She gave it to me," he added.
My forehead was very wrinkled. "What do you mean?"
He sighed. "It was my mission. Headmaster Kane gave me a mission to find a flower in the middle of the forest. While I was looking for it, I suddenly heard footsteps. I didn't know what it was, so I hid in the tree. I saw a woman fighting with two other people. I couldn't recognize the two because they were wearing masks. I wouldn't have interfered anymore, but my conscience can't take it. That is why I helped her, and she gave me those two as a reward or as a thank you. "
I stopped at what he said. She was in danger. Who are the two people she fought against? How was she tracked down? How did they know? A lot of questions pop up in my mind, but I don't know the answer.
"I'm so sorry." I replied to Rogue.
He gently scratched her hand shyly, "No, it's okay. She said to me that someone might accuse me of stealing those two mythical creatures, and she's right. You came and accused me," he chucked.
I smiled at him. "Thank you for saving her."
"Wait? Why are the two already on Charles? "
"Charles is my younger brother. I gave it to him," he answered.
I nodded. "I will bring it back to you tomorrow. Is that okay? "
"Yes," he immediately answered. "I mean, where? At what time? "he added.
"Morning at the garden." I answered. When I looked back, my eyes widened when I saw all the students inside were looking at us outside.
"Don't mind them." Rogue said immediately.
I nodded at him. "I'm going first." I said as I patted his shoulder.
I open the door and casually walk towards our table. As soon as I sat down, all of their eyes were looking at me.
"What?"
"What did you two talk about?"
"What does he require?"
"Is it about us?"
"Why does it have to be outside?"
I mentally chuckled. "We just talked about some things. Don't worry! It's not bad. "
"Tell us, Meliora!" Relm snorted.
I just laughed at him. I turn my eyes to Vandel. I smiled at him to ensure that it was alright.
He sighed but eventually smiled.
