Chapter 22

I lazily got up from my bed because of the noise. Even up here in my room, I could hear Sandra and Relm screaming at each other and others talking.

It looks like they are back to their normal state.

I chose to shower and get dressed. Then I left the room. When they saw me coming down the stairs, Sandra came to me first while wearing an apron.

My forehead furrowed. "Are you going to cook?" I ask.

"Duh! Meliora, probably. I'm waiting for you. Let's get cooking!"She said, then rolled her eyes.

Relm quickly ran towards us and pushed me closer to him.

"Meliora, cook a lot!" he said with twinkling eyes.

I silently sigh. Do they not know how to cook? I just nodded and went to the kitchen first. I even spotted Vandel and Copelan quietly reading a book, and the Princess and Elara chatting on the side. They were smiling.

"Quick Meliora! I'm your assistant now! " Sandra pulled me and put on an apron.

"What are we going to cook?" she asked.

"Which one is your favorite?"I also inquired.

She held his chin and seemed to be thinking.

"Anything, we eat anything!" she shouted.

I didn't feel like nodding. I sigh. I'm tired.

I immediately get the ingredients and utensils that I'll use. I also told Sandra to cut onions and other vegetables. I will just cook a main dish, a side dish, a dessert, and juice for drinks.

We finished in a couple of hours.Sandra set the table for us and called them. I sat in my seat and waited for them.

"Woah!" Relm exclaimed.

He quickly sat down and took his food.

Kara and Elara also did it. The Princess quietly took the food while Elara thanked me. I just smiled at her.

"Let's eat!" Vandel suddenly said to me

I look at him and nod. I took some of it and ate it quietly. Sandra and Relm keep bickering with each other. Even when we are at the dining table, they always fight.

"What do we do later?" Elara asked us.

They all looked at Vandel to wait for an answer, but Vandel ignored them and silently ate.

"I'm going to the Headmistress. I have something to say." said the Princess as she looked at all of us.

Their foreheads furrowed, and I intently observed her. She swallowed her food and looked at each one of us.

Will she say?

"I have suggestions to ask." "The Princess added

"What is it?" Copelan asked.

"Let's just talk about it later," answered the Princess, and she turned her attention to the food.

They moved and eventually ate. I sneak a peek at them. Wasn't Kara told anything about what happened to her yesterday?

Did she already tell the King and Queen?

Or the Headmistress?

I have to come later.

"I'm done. I'll wait for you in the living room." The Princess said then exited.

Their foreheads furrowed, and Sandra's eyebrow rose.

"What happened to her? She seems changed." Sandra asked quietly.

"I don't know. It seems like something is bothering her. " Elara answered.

"Let's just double our protection for her. So that what happened yesterday doesn't happen again." Vandel said to us while glancing at me.

What happened? Is that what the king said? I already accepted it. I don't know if he will change his attitude towards me once he finds out. He loves the Princess so much and I kinda.. never mind.

"Let's go!" Vandel added

We nodded our heads and left. We noticed that the Princess was sitting on the couch while looking at the flower on her side.

"Kara, let's go." Elara called her.

She immediately stood up and smiled. Relm opened the door for us, and we went out together. The Princess and Elara were leading us while Copelan, Vandel, and Relm followed them while Sandra and I were behind.

"Are you okay, Meli?" Sandra asked me softly.

"Yes." I shortly replied.

Indeed, I am.

"I thought something last night. Perhaps he's just worried about Kara."

I nod. "Yes, Don't worry. I didn't feel any hatred towards him. "

She suddenly stopped and looked at my face.

"Why did the king say your face was familiar ?" she asked.

"Don't mind his words. Maybe he's just confused. " I answered.

She eventually shrugged. We quickly followed them and quietly walked towards the Headmistress's office.

 

 

 

 

 

"What? Training? Why?" the Headmistress asked the Princess.

That's what she said when we sat down here. She wants to train.

I looked at her confused.

 

"All of a sudden? Why Kara?" the Headmistress asked again.

"I thought that because it had been a long time since I had trained, just like them.I just want to know my other powers, "she answered.

"You're a Princess, Kara. We serve to protect you. You don't need to train anymore. We are here," replied the Headmistress.

"What other powers? You have light magic," she added.

Her forehead was wrinkled. "Because someone told me.. that.. that the Princess of Tamora has more than one power."

The Headmistress suddenly stood up from her seat at what the Princess said. There was a look of dread on her face that he couldn't hide.

"Who told you that?! It is not true. " The headmistress exclaimed

"Yes, Kara. Our history said the Princess has only one magic. " Elara stated once more.

The Princess frowned even more. She sighed loudly.

"I want to train!" she said emphatically.

"Just let her train Selena. What are you afraid of?" said Miss Violet, who had been listening to us for a while.

"Besides, there are other elites. They can train also. We don't know what will happen in the future, "she added.

"What will happen?" Sandra asked him.

"Will the world end?" Relm asked.

"Really, Relm?! With everything that could possibly happen, it will end? "

"It's just a suggestion, Sandra." Relm snorted.

Sandra rolled her eyes and looked at Miss Violet.

"Like I said, we don't know what's going to happen," she said with a shrug.

"Why do I feel like she's not the Miss Violet we rescued?" Sandra whispered to me.

I silently laugh. "She is. You are thinking too much, Sandra. "

"She's changed," she whispered again.

I didn't respond, instead focusing on Headmistress and Princess, who were still discussing training.

There was nothing she could do because the princess really wanted it.

The Headmistress feigned a cough to get our attention.

"Elites, all of you are going to train. There is a training ground in your dorm. Still, protect Kara; we don't know what will happen. Understood? " She explained as we all looked at each other.

We all nod.

"You can start now. You don't have class from now on. You may leave. " The Headmistress added gently to us

Vandel opened the door for us. He went ahead of us while we followed him.

"I will just go somewhere." I suddenly said to them

They look at me confusedly.

"There's something I have to do. Go ahead." I added.

"Where are you going, Meliora? Can I come? " Sandra shouted.

"No, just go to the dorm." I answered.

 

Vandel even looked at me, but I didn't pay any more attention to him. The Princess didn't care and went ahead of them while Elara was with her. Copelan was also just waiting for them. I saw Sandra complain, but Relm pulled her away.

I want to think. A lot of things happened, but still, my mission was not growing. Yes, I did something that could wake Kara from her dreamland, but it was not enough.

I scan the surroundings. Maybe I should go to the garden.

I was almost in the garden when I heard Miss Violet's voice, and wait? Was that the headmistress?

They are in a hidden area surrounded by large plants. I conceal my presence and slowly walk towards them. I duck, and make sure no one sees me.

"Why do we still need to talk here?" Miss Violet asked the Headmistress.

The Headmistress looked left and right before answering. "She can hear us when we're in the office."

"She's spying on you?" Miss Violet exclaimed!

My forehead furrowed. Who?

"Unfortunately, yes. We need to do something." The Headmistress said.

"What? I'll do the right thing, Selena. " Miss Violet insisted.

"I know. So we'll do the right thing."

I mentally smiled.

"So, we're opposing her. Can we do it, Selena?" Miss Violet worriedly said.

"We need to. I know someone will be back soon, or they are already back but we didn't notice it. " She said with a sigh.

"What about Kara? Does she know anything yet? "

"Yes, I can feel it in her eyes. But she doesn't just say it. That's even better! "

Suddenly, Miss Violet hugs the Headmistress. "I'm glad," she says.

I quickly left my place after hearing their conversation.

But who was that? Whom are they afraid of?
