Chapter 31

"The first round is.." A big screen appeared and a letter was formed on it.

"Treasure hunt." I read what was written on the screen. Suddenly, the stadium was shaking and trees, animals, and other things that you normally see in the forest appeared.

"Whoa!" I heard Relm commented.

It became a big forest. The others seemed rest. The others seemed amazed, and some were just as quiet as we were, except for Relm.

"All the participants, please come to the front."

We immediately went down. I can feel the excitement of the others because it shows on their faces as we quietly go along with them.

My eyes immediately shifted to the group with number 2 attached to their clothes. I can't quite imagine that they would study at Salla, and I guess they are respected here. Luckily they didn't see us. We were in the back while they were in front with Alpha.


"All you need to do is to find your own flag. Each flag has a number between 1 and 18. The challenge here is that when other groups find your flag, they can do whatever they want. So make sure that you are the first one to find your flag. "

"The first 10 to come up will proceed to the second round," the announcer added.

"This is so easy." I heard some of the women next to me. Her companions giggled and looked at us. Like them, someone is looking at us as if they are planning something.

So?Do they want to target us? Let's see!

When the announcer signaled us, everyone entered the forest. Someone ran in, and someone just walked in front of them.

"This forest looks big up close," the Princess suddenly said.

"Yeah!" We answered him in unison.

"Stick with each other." Vandel commanded us. "I have a feeling that those crickets will target us." He added

"How nice they can fly somewhere!" Sandra said, irritated.

"Or maybe drown!" Elara also said

"Bury it in the ground!" shouted Relm.

"Shut up!" I said softly to them.

"Someone's here!" I added. We immediately gathered in the center and felt the surroundings.

Suddenly, someone clapped and four people came out. Two men and two women are holding two flags with the numbers 17 and 18 written on them.

W-wait? Is that our flag?

"Do you see this?" said a woman with neck-length hair.

"We're probably not blind!" Sandra answered while raising her eyebrows.

 

"Go back to where you came from! Weak ones don't belong here! " Another woman shouted, unlike the other one, she has long hair.

Seriously? Are their brains that narrow? When will you know your strength if you don't try it?! We chose not to answer and just looked at them.

"One more thing. This is ours!" she added and turned away.

They laughed at each other when we didn't even move to take the flag that was supposed to be ours.

Wrong move!

Suddenly, the two flags they were carrying flew away. I saw their mouths open. It stayed high and didn't even come down.

They looked at us badly. "What did you do?" a man shouted.

Sandra laughed hard. "Use your magic cockroach!"

"What did you call us?" a short-haired girl shouted. She gritted her teeth and clenched her fist.

"Are you deaf?" I asked her impatiently.

"Let's see your arrogance," she answered.

A strong wind blew up, and the ground shook softly.

Creatures from under the earth appear. The Princess shouted as she saw those who appeared. Centipedes, worms, snakes, and others are in front of us now and they look alive and hungry. They are also twice the size of us.

Sandra remained close to me."Ew!" she shivered.

The woman suddenly burst out laughing because of our reaction.

"This is so exciting!" Elara said. Unlike Sandra and the Princess, she was calm while looking ahead.

"Let's be hurry. We might not get in. " I said softly to them.

Vandel sighed. He looked listlessly at the creatures in front of him.

"Sandria, get our flag!" he commanded.

Our flag that was up quickly flew towards us while their flag stayed up. Sandra immediately grabbed it and waved it to them. Their eyes immediately widened.

The two boys use their magic. One man has vines out of his hand while the other has cards. Nice Vines and Cards! They let it go to retrieve their flag that was floating high.

While the two women rushed towards us, but before that happened, everything was on fire. The flag that was up earlier was on fire; the vines that came from a man's hand and the cards that went right to the flag are also on fire; and the big worms and snakes in front of us are now on fire. Their shouts echoed before the creatures and their magic disappeared.

Their eyes widened in disbelief while looking at us. They slowly backed away and ran.

 

The forest filled with Sandra and Relm's laughter, almost touching their stomachs because of joy.

 

"Let's go!" Vandel immediately told us.

We carry the flag on our way out. The audience even gasped when they witnessed us. There are boxes in the front to put the captured flag in. We put it in right away. We were given another number by the announcer and told to go to our new seat.

"We're number five." Copelan asked us softly. We nodded.

"Oh there!" Sandra said. We immediately went to our seats and kept quiet.

We even passed Alpha and Clover, who were in front, as before they were still number 1 and 2. When the Clover group saw us, their forehead furrowed. Maybe they were wondering where we met.

"Did they recognise us?" Sandra asked.

"I doubt that," the Princess answered.

She sighed.

After a couple of minutes, the seats from 1 to 10 are occupied. This means that the remaining group that is still in the made forest will not participate in the next round. Everyone in the group that passed by us turned and murmured.

We ignored it and just looked ahead. The forest in the middle gradually disappeared as the participants in it looked around in wonder. Everyone in the middle is disqualified from the game and will sit together with the other students.

We even saw the ones we fought earlier look at us, but they also looked away.

Suddenly, there was tension around them, and they appeared to be watching each other.

"Congratulations to the remaining 10 groups!" the announcer said loudly.

"Now, let's proceed to the next round!"
