Chapter 42

I woke up to the sun hitting my face. I immediately stood up to peek through the small window. The sun is very bright and I know Vandel and others that I'm not in the dorm. I kept trying to remove the handcuffs on my hand, but it was too strong.

When the door here suddenly opened, two maids immediately came in with food and put it in the small hole in my cage. I immediately went to see them.

"What's going on? Who gave that? "

But they didn't answer me, but they looked at me very badly, as if I was a big obstacle to being here in Tamora.

I clenched my fist, but I couldn't do anything.

"Don't talk to us because you're a criminal!" one maid said.

I immediately frowned at what she was saying. "You want to kill the king and this news is spreading all over Tamora!" she added emphatically.

My knees immediately went weak because of what I heard. But I looked at them intently. "I can't do that to the King!" I insisted.

They didn't listened to me and then left at the same time.They closed the door hard.

Those traitors! I want to get lost! What lies do they tell others? What will they think of me? They need to know the truth!

I tried to overlook what was happening outside. Did the bird say what I wanted to convey? But what's happening to the King is troubling me too much. Is he awake? Or have they completely left it? Miss Violet has in her hand the liquid that is supposed to cure the king. But, did Kara know all of this? Does he know what they are doing?

"Meliora, are you okay?"

I suddenly screamed when someone spoke behind me. When I looked at it, the worried faces of Sandra and Vandel were in front of me. My forehead was wrinkled when Sandra started crying while looking at my situation now.

I take a look at myself.They did not hurt me, but I was handcuffed and my clothes were filthy.

"Did they hurt you?" Vandel asked me emphatically.

I shook my head at him. "What did they tell you?"

"They told us that you almost killed the king. But we don't believe it, Meliora. We know you! You're not like that! " Sandra, who was now sniffling, answered.

"Those people they planned to kill the king. They are the ones with that plan! " I insisted.

"Who are they?" Vandel asked.

"Don't be surprised. But Avalie, Elara, Miss Violet, and the Headmistress locked me in here! "

"What?!" Sandra exclaimed. She couldn't believe what she had heard.

"Yes, They did this. They want me to disappear again, and that won't happen again! " I answered firmly.

"How did you get here?" I asked them.

Sandra suddenly stood up and disappeared, then suddenly came back. "Teleport," she said.

Sandra looked at me worriedly. "Meliora, they're going to sentence you to death, and that will be tomorrow! We need to get you out of here. "

"What?! Don't worry about me! Can you please do me a favor?"

"What is it?" they asked in unison.

"Can you please find Drake from Higher Class?" He will tell you everything and... tell him that we must proceed with the plan and tomorrow will be the day.

Both of them frowned involuntarily. "Please trust me with this." I added.

"I trust you, Meliora!" Sandra said to me

"I will wait." Vandel only said. But I already know what he meant. I smiled at them both. We were immediately alerted when we heard footsteps coming towards it.

"Make sure to be safe. See you tomorrow!" I said immediately. They both nodded and disappeared like bubbles.

"Whom are you talking to?" Avalie asked suspiciously. She even looked to her left and right to see if anyone was here.

I didn't answer her, but I just glared at her. She didn't move and just smiled and looked at me.

She hissed. " I just came here to say you will be sentenced to death tomorrow." She said and avoided my gaze, looking at her nails.

"Are you afraid?" she asked again.

"Why would I?" I shrugged. I sat on the side and looked at her carefully.

"W-why? Why are you here, out of everyone? " I asked him raspingly.

She didn't answer and just looked to the right. She turned slowly. "I still don't know." was her only answer before turning away from me.

They want me dead. They also tried to kill me then as well as now. I hope Sandra will find Drake.

Has the king woken up? I hope Kara will do something to help him. I know she loves the King very much.

 

 

I didn't do anything here but wait until the morning. The sun is about to shine outside, and the birds are slowly flying in the sky. They didn't give me any food except what they gave me yesterday. I went to the window and looked at the sky, knowing she was coming for me.

After a few hours, about ten guards came to me one after the other. They immediately distanced themselves from each other and went to each side. I could hear footsteps coming here. I prepared myself for whatever might happen.

Suddenly, the Headmistress arrived with Miss Violet and the Queen. She looked me over from head to toe before looking hard at me.

"You are his daughter," she stated. I didn't answer but just looked at her.

"You look alike. Too bad she's dead," she added.

"Are you sure?" I asked.

"What do you mean?" She frowned when asked.

I didn't answer her and just looked at them intently. The Headmistress and Miss Violet just stood behind her and didn't even move.

The Queen made a single snapping motion with her finger."Go get her," she told the guards.


They immediately opened the cell and grabbed me by both arms. I was still handcuffed by the Headmistress, so they easily grabbed me.

"Bring her outside," she added. The guards immediately dragged me away while they followed. I didn't fight anymore. We went round and round before reaching a door. They immediately opened it and quickly dragged me to the center.

I gasped when I saw hundreds of people. There are students and citizens here in front of the palace, and they are looking at me badly. My eyes tried to find the Elite, but they were not here. The Headmistress stepped forward and uttered something, and the handcuffs immediately disappeared from my hand. But it was replaced with a rope and was carefully tied to both my hands.

I mentally smirked. Everyone can see it, and that's what should happen. I didn't know that they wanted to broadcast my death.

Suddenly, mages walked to the Queen's side. I looked at them, seeing Elite looking at me. Sandra mouthed something to me, and I smiled at her. Relm looked at me worriedly. When I looked at him, he even waved at me. Elara was intently looking at me as well as Kara. She was looking at me badly. Vandel and Copelan still didn't react, but I could see Vandel's worried eyes on me.

"Let the show begin." I murmured to myself.

The Queen walked to the center and looked around. "This lady nearly killed the king!" she exclaimed.

"As punishment, we will sentence him to death in front of you all."

The other mages screamed, while the rest remained silent. I even saw Avalie leading them all. The Queen sat in their respective seats along with the Elite and the Headmistress. Suddenly, three guards came to my side. One of them was carrying a big ax, while the other two carefully guarded me from each side.

Vandel suddenly stood up and was about to come towards me. But I instantly used my telepathy and tried to stop him. He then sighed deeply.

The guard immediately prepared the ax and slowly raised it in the air. Two guards took my head and pressed it in front of the guards with an ax. I even heard Sandra crying on the side.

The ax was about to hit my head when suddenly someone came from afar. A large white dragon is running towards the entrance. Everyone gasped, especially when they saw who was riding the white dragon, leading everyone while at her back were the thousands of mythical creatures running. They suddenly stopped right in front of me, so I couldn't help but smile.

The other mages were amazed and couldn't believe what they were seeing in front of them, especially the Queen, with her mouth hanging open and her eyes rolling as she looked at the woman riding the dragon.

Suddenly, the woman came down. She looked at them all.

"What did you do to my daughter?" she shouted at them.
