Chapter 43
"Daughter?"
"What's happening?"
I could hear the muttering of the mages in front. Suddenly, an old man stepped forward and looked at the woman in front of him in disbelief. He immediately knelt down while tearfully looking at the woman.
"Dear Queen," he said, and everyone heard it.
Everyone gasps at her words. The others couldn't believe that the former Queen they knew was dead was standing before them alive and well. She instantly walked towards my direction and untied me. I saw the three guads who were guarding me kneel down. Basically, they recognized her.
She scanned my face and looked at me worriedly. "Are you okay?"
"Yes." I smiled.
Yes. She's the Queen. The former Queen, whom the King loved so much, and the woman who gave birth to me. The day she was stabbed by the sorcerers, Drake's parents instantly hid her in the safest place as the King fought the other enemies. She also helps me in my mission, and gave me a birthday letter with the help of Drake, and is the owner of the book we took and searched for in Salla. She is the real Queen and not the one in front of them all.
"No! What are you doing here?!!" the new Queen screamed.
"I'm just taking what you took!" she answered.
The Elite's brows furrowed, especially Kara, who was visibly confused now. She suddenly stood up from her seat and looked at us thoroughly.
"W-what's the meaning of this?" she rasped.
"You're my mom!" she added as she looked at the girl I was hugging until now.
"I'm sorry, but you're not my daughter. Ask your Mom!" she answered.
"W-who?"
"Beside you." I answered her.
It was as if the Queen had seen a ghost. Kara looked at her in disbelief as she tried to call the Headmistress, who was still shocked by what was happening.
"It's not what you think."
The Queen could not continue what she was going to say when the King suddenly appeared. He couldn't believe what he was seeing as he looked at the woman beside me.He just about to run towards us, the Queen suddenly took the sword owned by the guards at her side and presented it to the king's neck.
The citizens and the elite could not believe what they witnessed.
"No! You're mine. You're mine!" she shouted like crazy.
"He loved me at first. You poison him, you deceive him, you just took him from me, and you took my life back then!" Mom insisted.
Their eyes widen in disbelief as they look at Queen Emerald. Her hand that was holding the sword trembled. "T-That's not t-true!" she stuttered.
Mom slowly walked towards her. "You're the one who killed me! You're the one who started the havoc. You're the one who brainwashes people's minds that my daughter is dangerous. You killed me... My husband didn't see you because he came too late!"
"No! I'm not! " The Queen was adamant.
"You took my child and replaced it with yours with the help of Selena!"
"You made everyone believe that their princess was back, but the truth is you ordered Violet to kill her!"
The mages who heard what the real queen was saying couldn't believe it. Their foreheads were wrinkled.
"No! You're lying! Don't believe what she says! "shouts the Queen.
"You can't fool them anymore, Emerald! You are a despicable traitor! You are the ones who want to kill the king, and then you will make my daughter a traitor in her land! She even tried to save her father's life! " Mom insisted.
The King looked at me with wide eyes. His expression softened as he looked at me with tears in his eyes. I avoided looking at him. I still can't forget what he did when Kara, his only princess, disappeared. I couldn't look him in the eyes because what was happening in the past kept coming back to me.
I sneak a peek to see the elite. Their mouths were agape except for Kara, who was crying, and Elara, who was letting her sit and was looking at us angrily.
It's like crazy that the Queen keeps saying that it's not true. She was still holding the sword and aimed at the king's neck.
It's not true! "No! " She screamed loudly at the same time as thunder and lightning came out. She immediately closed her eyes as she uttered words that only sorcerers knew.
We immediately prepared for what would happen. I used my telepathy magic to contact Elite. I told them to let citizens stay away from here because they might be affected by what is happening. They immediately followed me even though they were still confused by what was happening.
The Queen looked at us with a smile as various creatures came out of the forest. I couldn't figure out what it was because it looked like a jumble of creatures living in the jungle. I covered my nose because of the smell. They immediately knelt before Queen Emerald.
She uttered another spell and suddenly a large circle formed that I guess you could be trapped in as it headed towards the citizens running back to town. I immediately ran towards them and formed a large circle made of ice and threw it into the circle coming our way. I waited for it to happen, but my eyes widened when what I was doing broke and what the Queen was doing continued.
I cursed and gently closed my eyes and felt my power. I immediately formed a circle made of fire and threw it. Luckily, it stopped and gradually disappeared. I sighed heavily.
I suddenly looked at the citizens who were still running. Suddenly, an old man tripped, and I ran to him to help him. He thanked me and quickly ran with the others.
I looked back and Mom and the Queen were fighting. My eyes searched for the King. I looked around and saw him lovingly hugging Kara from the side. I just looked away and sighed.
Sandra ran towards me and immediately hugged me. I hugged her back.
"Thank you." I said to them sincerely.
"Meliora!" Sandra cried and hugged me again. I chuckled and tapped her back.
"Where are Avalie and Elara?" I asked with a frown.
They all just shook their heads.
"Let's end that thing!" I said while looking at the creatures that the Queen had called earlier that were now heading towards us.
"Let's go Elite!" Relm said. I immediately smiled at what he said.
I created a large tornado and threw it at them. Vandel looked at me with wide eyes.
"I will explain later." I only said it to them.
We have different enemies. But they really don't fall easily. They regenerate, and it's as if no trace of power hit them. My forehead furrowed when the fire I made hit one of them, but it suddenly brightened and returned to its previous form.
My eyes immediately searched for the culprit. We can't beat this if we don't find the perpetrator. I flew up to see what had happened. In the distance, I saw someone hiding in the hidden part of the forest. She sat quietly as the various orations surrounded her as they lit up. I immediately flew towards her and made a ball of water and threw it in her direction. But it suddenly disappeared before it even hit her.
Barrier?
I immediately got down right behind her. She laughed loudly before facing me.
"A-avalie?"
She is very different from before. She was wearing a long dress while her hair was loose and tied. There are various shapes surrounding him, and they light up.
"Hi Meli!" she greeted with a smile.
"What are you doing?" I suddenly asked as she sat down again.
"Skeiwryckl" she said, which I didn't understand.
My eyes immediately widened when suddenly there was lightning in the sky and falling to the ground. Mentally, I curse.
I immediately approached her and punched the invisible barrier surrounding her with my mixed magic. I flew away from her as it cracked little by little.
Avalie looked at me intently as she spoke a spell that I didn't know. Suddenly, a big wave came towards me. I suddenly let out my wings and flew. I made an arrow made of fire and aimed it at her back. I release it many times. I also try to apologize to her in my mind. After the waves disappeared, I saw Avalie lying in the middle. There were arrows stuck in her body. I made sure not to hit the critical part of her body. I still couldn't kill her, and I feel Avalie considered me a friend too. I just need to know her reason why.
I immediately ran towards the front of the palace as I floated Avalie to my side, laid her down on the side of the tree and looked ahead. The creatures that were there before have disappeared but have been replaced by real mages. Sandra and Elara fight on the side, and Vandel, Copelan, and Relm's opponents are Headmistress and Miss Violet, who are both sorcerers. Until now, the Queen and Mom were fighting while I hadn't seen Kara and the King.
I saw that they were all panting. Their breathing was too strong and their sweat was dripping. I should end this!
I immediately gave them a message through their minds. When I knew they had all heard this, I closed my eyes tightly, I raised my hand in the air, and gradually the black color settled in the sky and the rain gradually fell. The Headmistress looked at Vandel in surprise as he suddenly formed a barrier for the three of them, and so did Sandra. They thought it was just an ordinary day, but they were wrong. Whoever it steps on, except the owner, will not be able to move. The inside of their body will become ice until they can no longer move it.
That's what happens, and not even a sorcerer can get rid of it. I studied it for a long time because I knew the day would come when I would need this magic.
I slowly let go of the rain and Vandel immediately let go of his own barrier. Headmistress, Miss Violet, and Elara were now lying on the ground, eyes open but unable to move.I looked at Mom's side as a sword was thrust into the Queen's chest, but no blood was dripping from it because it had turned to ice.
"That was cool!" Sandra shouted and moved towards us. I was shocked when Vandel suddenly hugged me in front of them all. Relm faked a cough while happily looking at us. I hugged him back and buried my face in his chest, when suddenly Mom coughed behind us.
"Can I hug my daughter first?" Her question made them all laugh. She hugged me tightly, and I did the same.
"Let's get this mess cleaned up!" Mom addressed everyone.
