Chapter 39

"What do you think is going on in Tamora? We've been here for a long time. " Relm asked us all.

"Maybe it's the same as before." Elara answered him.

We are now riding the carriage back to Tamora. The sun is shining brightly in the sky, and it's not too cold, indicating that we're getting close to Tamora's land.I glance at everyone; the others are asleep, and only the three of us, Relm and Elara, are awake. We waited here for more than an hour.

I sighed as I looked out the window.Vandel has the book in his hand, and I know he will give it to the Headmistress later, but how can I get it? I have to give it back to her.

"I miss this feeling," Elara said suddenly.

"About what?" I asked her.

"Home. It feels like home. "She answered me.

I silently smiled. Indeed, it feels like home. I closed my eyes and felt the air freely enter my insides. Nothing can compare to Tamora. Even though I've been to Salla, Bora, and Namorn, I still like it here better.

"We're almost there!" Relm's eyes flickered with excitement.

He woke up Sandra and Copelan. Elara woke up the Princess, and I woke up Vandel, who was next to me. In the distance, I can see the wide gate of the Academy. I can see butterflies and other flowers around me, and birds are flying freely above.

The gate of the Academy opened by itself, and the carriage we were riding in entered. It just stopped at the side and we got out one by one. It left voluntarily, and the gate slowly closed.

"Let's go!" Sandra smiled happily and clung to me. We started walking towards the Headmistress's office, but it was strange why there weren't many students wandering around here now that it was still noon.

"Where are the other students? Why do I only see them so often? " The Princess asked.

They forehand furrowed took a look around. There were a few students sitting and walking around, but they were wearing green uniforms, which means that there were only beginner classes or members inside. It was very quiet and only the sound of our shoes could be heard. After arriving, Copelan immediately knocked before opening the door. But we were about to follow him when he looked at us.

"The headmistress wasn't here." Copelan said to us. He closed the door again.

"Where are they?" Sandra asked.

That would have been the question that we needed to answer. Where are the other students? The headmistress as well as Miss Violet? Silence prevailed over us. We chose to go back to the dorm to put our things away before looking for the Headmistress.

I opened the dorm door and they immediately followed me. Even the guard at the gate here is not there.

What was going on in Tamora when we left here?

We also chose to go out after landing.Carry the book that we should and will give to the Headmistress.

"Let's ask questions," the Princess suggested. We immediately followed her and called the first student we saw. She came to us voluntarily.

She bowed a little before looking at us. "Why?"

"Where are the other students? Headmistress too?" The Princess asked.

Her mouth fell open and she looked at us in disbelief. "Don't you know? The Kingdom was under attack. The higher class and the Headmistress were there to help." She said confused.

Our eyes widened at the news. Maybe they didn't know that we went on a mission, so maybe they know that we are in the palace now!

I quickly ran out because of the news. The Princess, who was restless now, ran with me. I mentally cursed when I didn't see even a single car here. We still have to go to town to get it.

"There's no car! We have to go there right now! " The Princess commanded us. Her hands were shaking and she was restless. Elara immediately went to her to calm her down.

I feel that they are worried too. While we waited outside, Copelan and Relm immediately looked for a ride. I don't know what I can do when something bad happens.

"What's really going on?" Elara asked.

"Why is this only happening now?" she added.

No one answered her. I don't even know why. She was still trying to calm the princess, who was now crying. Sandra approached me and looked sadly at the Princess.

"Why?" I asked, with her expression.

"I just feel sorry. What is going on in the palace now? " She answered me in a whisper.

"They're powerful. Maybe nothing bad will happen." I said. I hope so.

"I just follow Copelan." Vandel said to us. We nodded to him and waited silently.

Suddenly, they came, and Copelan was carrying a carriage. We immediately went inside while Vandel and Copelan were in front. Copelan is still our driver, and we are at the back. He quickly turned it on, so silence reigned over us.

Until now, the Princess is still crying and only her sniffles can be heard.

Sandra sighed before looking at her. "Your parents are strong, Kara. Don't worry," she said softly to her.

"Right. They are powerful."

She wiped away the tears escaping her eyes. She inhaled deeply and quietly watched outside. It was more than an hour before we got to the palace, so we had to be patient and wait since our only vehicle here was just a carriage.

We just rode quietly inside. We just got back from the mission and when we got home, a new tragedy happened. Honestly, I don't know what's going on. I'm not sure anymore.

When we saw the big gate of the palace, we immediately sat down. It was only slightly open as we could clearly see the people fighting inside, but my eyes immediately widened as I saw the palace engulfed in flames.

"Why don't they put out the fire?" The Princess shouted impatiently.

The Copelan did not enter the cart and instead stood to the side.We immediately got out and ran inside. But we were stopped by what we witnessed. They were made of stone... stone people against the higher classes.

Who are they? No, what are they?

When they saw us, they immediately stopped. Elara was about to rush when they all gathered in the middle and spontaneously disappeared.

What was that?

We immediately attended to the injured students, but the palace is still burning. My eyes searched for the Headmistress, but I couldn't see her.

We all split up to help. Is there no water power here except for Elara?

I saw that Elara was trying to make the fire go away. She kept throwing large amounts of water, but nothing happened. It just goes back to the way it was.

I need to do something.

I immediately hid on the other side. I look to my left or right to see if anyone is looking. When I was sure there was nothing, I closed my eyes and raised my hand in the air. I felt the air gradually getting colder and it started to thunder. I opened my eyes and looked at the sky. Water began to drip from above until it rained. I sighed deeply when I saw that the fire was gradually fading.

I quietly returned to my old place while they couldn't believe what they witnessed.

"It just rained here in Tamora." Sandra said, who was already behind me.

I looked at her. "Why isn't it raining here?" I wondered.

It was raining in Salla then. I thought it was also raining here. I curse myself; my move was rash! They might wonder.

"No. Just now, "she answered and looked at the now smoking palace.

"Whoever did it, we have to thank her." Sandra said.

"Yeah." I weakly answered her.

I looked around. They were all wet from the rain, but instead of taking shelter, they seemed to feel it. Some of them closed their eyes while looking up. Some were wondering and some just sat quietly on the side.

"Let's go." Sandra, I said.

We went to see Vandel, who was still looking at the rain. They looked at us when they saw us approaching.

"Have you seen them? the Headmistress?" I asked immediately.

They shook their heads in response. "Where's the book?" I asked again.

"It's here." Vandel said as she showed me the book. I nodded to him.

"Who did this?" Elara asked.

"Of what?" Sandra asked him.

"The rain," she said softly.

"I do not know," they all answered at the same time. Even the Princess answered her.

"Whoever she is, she's a big help." the Princess suddenly said. I was quietly stunned.

Let's find the others, especially the Headmistress. No one will answer our questions here. Vandel said to us.

We walked into the palace. Since there was no more fire and it was still raining, the other wounded in the battle were brought in there.

Sandra suddenly came to me. "I didn't see Avalie." she whispered.

My eyes immediately widened. What happened to her?! Even Drake is not here.

"We'll just look for her later," she added. I just nodded at what she said.

When we went inside, the first situation that appeared in our eyes was the King lying face down on the big couch. The Princess immediately approached him while we were quietly behind.

"What happened?" she asked. The Queen hugged her, who was now crying.

"I'm glad you're okay," she said to the Princess.

I looked around inside. The Headmistress is here with Miss Violet. Vandel went to her to give her the book, but she stopped him.

"Let's talk later," she told us before looking back at the Queen and the Princess hugging the King.
