Chapter 30

We immediately followed the woman. Other students stared at us, especially the boy earlier. But he didn't say a word anymore.

"Headmaster has heard news of the new students," she stated.

"Come in!" she added.

We are now standing at the door. She left it open and immediately left.

"Oh? Come in! " The man sitting in the middle said loudly. I think they are the same age as the Headmistress. He has a mustache and wears a suit.

"I'm the Headmaster at Salla Academy; just call me Headmister Kane." he said with a smile.

"Why did you just join now?" he asked.

"We just stay at home." I answered him.

He held his chin while repeatedly nodding.

"Is that so? Do you know the school you attended?" he asked.

"Why? What is it? " Sandra said, with her eyebrow raised.

"And who is the man outside?" she added irritably.

He stood up and went to his big window. He looked at the students sitting in front of the academy.

"Students don't study here. They do missions, and in exchange they will have gold. They need gold for their living and for their expenses, "he explained.

"But today's mission for everyone is different. We held a contest. I'm saying this because you're new. "

"On the second day, there will be a contest called the War of the Strongest. Each group will compete in different categories. And what is that? You will also find out in the coming days. " He said, and he returned to his seat and looked at all of us.

"The question is, can you do it?" Then he started giggling.

What the?

"Anyway, many prizes will be given to the winner. Will you join? " He added

"Yes," Vandel said immediately.

He immediately applauded. "Good. What is the name of your group? "

He issued a list of participants and gave it to us. Vandel immediately took it and wrote on the 18th spot the name "Elites" and returned it to him.

"Elites? What a good name." He immediately hid the paper.

"How much is the biggest room?" Vandel immediately asked him.

His forehead was wrinkled. "Why? Do you have any money? We have a small one, only five gold to pay," he offered.

"We said, how much is big?" The Princess asked irritably.

"Oh! A hundred gold, "he answered. His forehead is still furrowed.

Vandel immediately gave him the payment. He hesitantly gave us the key and the map to where it was. We just thanked him and left.

"This school is annoying!" Sandra said, for the nth time. I can't count how many times she said that while hitting an innocent pillow in front of her.

We are now in one of the largest dorms here at Salla Academy. We met someone earlier who was looking at us in surprise, but we didn't pay any attention to it.

Since what happened earlier in the headmaster's office, we haven't gone out. It is a good thing there is free food here, which is included in what we paid for.

The others were in their rooms while Sandra and I were the only ones in the living room.

"We need to win Meliora! We need to win everything." Sandra said to me emphatically. She still continues to hit the pillow in front.

"Yes, We need to do that. " I answered her.

She stopped and looked at me. "So, if they do missions to Meli, then the payment will be gold then. Who went to Celes' house? " She asked with a frown.

"That's what we'll find out." I answered her.

"And who gave them the mission?" Sandra's additional question

I sighed. I didn't respond because I didn't know.

"Let's rest." I said to Sandra and stood up. She stood up willingly while her face was still frowning.

"Good. I take it back when I said I wanted to live here!"she said more.

We immediately went upstairs and entered our room. The room here is similar to Tamora but not as big as our room at Tamora. The whole room was filled with white. White paint, white couch, white bed, as well as pillows and blankets. Even the curtain is white.

I chose to go to the window and open it. I silently glanced at the people outside. It was still bright outside, so it was obvious that they were scattered outside. Others wait outside the gate, others just sit on benches, and others use magic on the side.

When a mage entered the gate, he was wearing pants and a t-shirt, which means he was not studying here. Various groups quickly came to him and talked. I couldn't tell what it was except that one group got very excited and left with those mages.

"So, it was a mission." I mumbled to myself.

I was about to leave when I noticed someone looking at me. Of all the people who were here, they were the only ones sitting on the edge of the tree roots. There was no sign of fear on their faces, and they looked at me with a smile.

I mentally smirk, and close the window.

Thankfully, they didn't know about us. It's really good that the name Elite is only spreading in Tamora.

I chose to lie down and sleep.

"This is it! Let's do this, guys! " Sandra shouted loudly down the stairs.

We all gathered in the living room. This is the day the tournament will be held, and the Headmaster will happily announce who the groups will be participating in. I thought all the groups here in Salla would participate, but it turns out not. Some groups chose to be spectators because they knew they would still lose.

We were all called to join the headmaster at the stadium, where the group competition was held. When the students found out that we were going to join, there was loud laughter among them.

Why do we have the courage to join when we are only newbies? That was the news spreading yesterday. We have to be careful here because we don't know what they can do yet.

But we don't know what will happen. Headmaster Kane just said yesterday that today he will announce the flow of the tournament, so will we know what the fight will be like?

"We have to win in everything." Vandel said to us.

"Yes! Show them who we are! " Relm shouted.

"So gay, Relm!" Sandra said to him irritatedly. He snorted and did not say a word.

"We must keep a low profile. As much as possible, let's not start a fight with them before it starts. " I told them.

"But why? We're elite," the Princess asked me.

I sigh. "We don't know them, their magic and capabilities. We still have to be careful. " I answered her.

She didn't say a word. We stood up and went out one by one. All the participants will be in uniform. That was the order of the Headmaster yesterday, while the spectators can not wear any more.

After arriving at the stadium, attention immediately fell on us. Someone whispers softly and laughs softly. If we don't have a mission, I will rip their mouths off!

We walked silently to the seat reserved for us. Because we were last on the list, we were seated in the back. Someone was already sitting in another seat, and like everyone else, they were laughing softly when we passed them.

"If only I could take the oxygen they have!" Sandra said after we sat down.

"Shh! Maybe someone else will hear us." I whispered to her.

"Get it later!" I added that it makes her laugh.

"You're really witty, Meli!" she said.

The seats were gradually filled with participants. We also did nothing but watch them.

Suddenly, the door opened and the two groups were spat out. One has six members, while the other has five. Our mouths dropped when one of the group was familiar with us.

"They are." Sandra couldn't finish what she was going to say when the audience suddenly roared. They loudly shout the names of the two groups.

"The Alpha and Clover are here!" A girl shouted which seat was in front of us.

Alpha? Clover?

They sat in spots 1 and 2 in front.

"The clover they're talking about, aren't they the ones we saw in the house in the forest?" Sandra asked me in a whisper.

I nodded at her and she told the others.

They are the ones with the girl who fought the one with lava magic, and they are the ones we met in the lobby of the big house.

"Welcome to the War of the Strongest!" the announcer said loudly.

I was almost deafened by the shouting of other students while we were silent here on the side. Headmaster Kane also went up to give a message. Then he handed it back to the announcer.

"Please take this number."

We were given our respective numbers, and the 18th was ours. We glued it to the heart side of our uniforms.

"The first round is....."
