Long story short, Alexia almost turned down the house when she could no longer return to the pack as it was too late, and her parents blatantly refused to let her leave at such risky hour.
It's her parents' house and pack so she didn't show her sadness before them. She's not about to make them feel now that she has a mate, she detests staying at her own father's pack.
When the next morning came, she woke up the driver and together they were on their way back to the Cold Moon pack finally.
She missed the Alpha and although she didn't want to think about it, she's worried something might have occured between him and the new lady. What if Ava had gotten close to him? That was enough reason for her not to have a good sleep last night.
"We are home." After hours of torturous ride, the driver finally announced as he rounded the car to open the backseat door.
Alexia stepped out of the car to be greeted with a silent pack house. She dismissed her suspicion and walked into the building, the maids bowing their head respectfully as she walked past them while on their different ways.
She handed her handbag to a maid to take to her room before going straight to the Alpha's chamber instead of hers.
She knocked on the door repeatedly but no words came from inside, and she faked a cough, reminding herself she's in front of the guard guarding the door.
"What's going on? He's not inside?" She finally dropped the act and asked.
"He is, ma'am. He asked for no disturbance and no one to come in." Was the guard response.
"Alright. I shall go in then." She made to open the door but was stopped, "Including you, princess. No way should go inside unless I want to lose my job and my life."
That made her pause. She's confused. Why would the Alpha asked for everyone not to come see him most especially her, or does he not miss him? Or wait? Her eyes wuddened up in sudden realization.
Did he intentionally asked them to keep his command because… he's angry? Oh, no. She hit her palm against her forehead and bit her lower lip.
How could she be so dumb? She also has no choice though. There was no way she could tell him she was leaving for her parents pack that morning and he won't delay her. She just didn't think of it as the right decision but now she's angry?
God knows what he was going to do with her.
Unable to go against the guard she turned around to leave and walked to her room where she haven't reached when she saw Kade from afar, standing at her door, probably waiting for her.
"Kade?" She asked.
"Princess Alexia." When Kade heared the voice, and looked across, the amount of relief that followed his sigh was huge. "Welcome back. I saw a maid bring your things in and was told you are back so I have been waiting here for you."
"Yes. I wanted to come see you also." She stopped before him, and was pointing behind her in reference to the Alpha but Kade got the memo immediately before she could even talk.
"The Alpha has been in a state of anger since you left. I don't know if it was as a result of you leaving like that without telling everyone but no one knows too. He just wouldn't speak to anyone or eat. He's been indoor and not attending to any pack affairs since yesterday, and I won't lie, I've almost ran insane. Thank God you came."
"I knew it." Alexia wanted to cry but held herself back. That was like an announcement of her doom. She knew something has to be wrong as she wasn't allowed into his chamber and now she's just confirmed her suspicion. "Now, what do we do?"
"Nothing. As for now, we leave him. Let's just pray he calms down soon and things go back to normal. Other than that, I can't assure every worker here is save." Kade looked around, at the maids who would pass but make sure they don't go near the Alphas door. Apparently everyone has been living in fear.
Alexia nodded. Kade left and she also went into her room.
She's not the patient type but now she found herself counting the ticking of the clock, her eyes not leaving the wall where it's hung.
She's feeling so guilty. She's finding it hard to get out of her dress as it is. She's wondering what time it'd be suitable to go back there and knock. What time he might have calmed down and would want to see her.
Before that, she better prepare her apology speech because it's no longer a child's play.
The door to her room opened at a moment she didn't expect and the lady from that day came into her room, without knocking at that. She sat upright, trying her best not to look pissed at her manners.
"Hello, princess Alexia." Ava smiled. And she nodded, gratefully she didn't try to come closer or come to sit on her chair or beside her.
"I came to speak with you." Ava said and with a hand wave she gave him the go ahead.
"Yesterday was a bad day, I won't lie. I didn't even have the time to look around the pack because I couldn't even go out. Yesterday was like pouring a gasoline inside a burning fire, a cause of my concern. I don't know what has been circulating among the staffs around but I heard it was something relating to you. A reason the Alpha has refused to come out."
Alexia was speechless. In fact, it took a while for her to get herself together.
"What are you driving at?" She finally asked and Ava shrugged. "What could have happened that made the Alpha angry because you travelled? I'm sorry but I have to ask. It affect us all. I mean, your absence."
If there was anything she was expecting, the new lady coming here to speak to her about her mate wasn't a part of it. She feel pissed but just won't show it, it'd cause an argument she didn't want.
"What's your name."
"Ava." Ava replied. This is her first time in a long conversation with the Lycan princess, courtesy of Luna Celeste who had sent her over for the question.
Additionally, even if the Luna hasn't, she would be tempted to take a step by herself. Yesterday took a toil on everyone including herself. Going inside her room to sleep at was one thing, the Alpha screaming for her to get lost was another.
It hurt her so much. Her first impression with the Alpha had been ruined.
"I know nothing about that. Should you come to ask me about a rumor unconfirmed?" Internally, Alexia wanted to crawl into the floor and never return.
It's bearable if only Kade had knew about the matter, including Alpha and the Luna but the staffs? The rumors? How can they go spreading such a rumor and who exactly assured them that was what had taken place?
That too without hearing her side of the story. Well, no one ought to even come to her in this angry state she is in else she had poured her aggressions on them.
How could they circulate something like that about her?
"It's something relating to the Alpha. If you were in my shoes and witnessed what everyone did yesterday, you won't speak this way. If things hac truly went downhill like that all because of you… Princess, I suggest you find a way to speak to him and sort things."
Even after Ava had left, Alexia was to passing across her room.

Alpha Steele withdrew his fingers off the cigarette stick and was ready to get into bed when a knock came on the door and rattling of the doorknob thereafter.
"Alpha, it's me."
Kade.
"The door is open." Kade wasn't expecting a reply. He pushed the door open and sighed, smiling all over as he met the Alpha's eyes. Could it be that the Alpha is over what happened?
"It's morning. My mind won't be at peace if you don't eat breakfast. You had no dinner last night." He closed the door behind him.
The Alpha nodded him off and Kade wasn't told twice when he went to bring in the maids to deliver the Alpha his meal. His mood has changed and Kade couldn't be more happy.
After eating, Alpha Steele got ready and left for his office, somewhere he hasn't been for so long. 'Yesterday's change clearly has a good effect on him.' thought Kade as she followed the Alpha out of the pack house.
After three hours interval, Alexia went to the Alphas' chamber and it was suspicious when the guard didn't try to stop her this time. Little wonder she entered to meet it empty.
"Are you satisfied now?" She heard the particular voice and turned around. Unfortunately there was no way out of it, this time.
"Good afternoon, Luna Celeste." She slightly titled her head down for a brief seconds.
"Oh, afternoon princess. I'm sure you must be pretty satisfied with what had happened and of course, I'm so proud of you." For the first time she saw the Luna smile. "All thanks to you. Now my son's eyes are opened. He's back to his senses."
"Tell me, how do I express my gratitude?"
