Marcus wasn't about to get apprehended this time. He took to his heels. And Alexia wasn't any surprised.

Alpha Steele's blood boiled as he watched Marcus dash away, when he got out of the bsckseat. For a split second his instinct urged him to pursue him and teach him another big lesson. Gritting his teeth, he took a step forward, ready to give a chase but then caught sight of Alexia standing nearby.

“Why was he here again?” He asked, signalling for Kade to still remain in the car, although he isn't sure he can still head back on the trip.

“He wouldn’t stop dropping by. I was pissed too.” She said and then her face squinted at him in contusion. “Don’t tell me you’re back that quick?”

Alpha Steele dropped his hand from his now ruffled hair, lowly sighing to himself. He’s becoming more temperamental and he knows but he can’t help it, no matter how much he tries. Marcus seemed to be one defiant person, who won’t heed to any caution.

“I happen to come across him along the way. I’m not back.” He finally said wiping off every sigh of worry from his face. He didn’t want to be so budging.

When Alexia nodded and started walking back into the house, she looked behind him for any sign for him but when he didn’t cross through the gate five seconds after, she knew immediately he was heading back.

“Oh missy, you must be missing your mate so much.” I heard the crack of laughter and almost flinched in shock. I totally wasn’t expecting it, a hand on my chest and I can feel the pounding of my heart against it.

Then when I saw it was Ava, the expression on my face instantly turned sour.

“That wasn’t funny.” I blasted, looking away from her as I walked past without anymore statement. One thing I have come to realize is how silence is the only way I can survive in here under the same roof as her.

I don’t understand why she always want to pick at my skin though. A day without taunting me is never a good day for her.

“It was an harmless question. It isn’t my fault your mind seem to be faraway. The same you would view me as wicked if I don’t try to get closer to you.” I can decern the snort that cand along with her statement.

Aiexia swirled around, “You must be mistaken. I never said I wanted to get closer with you Ava.”

She stopped and shrugged, “Your behavior says otherwise. Moreover, won’t it be better if we both maintain peace? I have nothing against you and that I can swear.” The way she said it makes Alexia want to laugh at her face but that will be her taking her words to the heart.

The audacity Ava possesses is quite amusing.

“You can sag whatsoever. If I wanted to get close with anyone I would go out there and look for a fruend.” Came Alexia’s response. Since she wants them to both constitute nuisance she’s ready to willingly dip herself in too.

Whatever she’s been trying with her all along, it’s time she understands she’s now far above that.

If anyone is to be her friend she can never be so foolish to take someone like Ava, a rival to her and worse someone brought in as a breeder.

Sooner or later she knows the Luna Celeste will start taking every action. It will get to a point Steele will have to choose his mother over her. After all, he knew his mother way more than he knew her.

Luckily Ava has backed off her. She peacefully went back to her room and just as she was walking past the mirror, she saw something. More like caught her own reflection.

Causing her to draw back and she almost denied whst was showing on the mirror was anything but her.

She didn’t cry but yet her face is all puffy. She’s also been trying to play the ignore game but the slight dizziness she has been feeling since yesterday is concerning.

Could it be illness? Whatever sickness it is has to treated but wait— what’s the crazy ‘P’ word that just crossed her mind?!
