Former Lunas Meeting, Cold Moon Pack

"My daughter hasn't met her mate yet, and growing anxious." One of the Lunas looked a bit lost.

"How many years has it been? My son is happy mated to his mate and has been since five years now." One of the Lunas responded lifting her chin a little higher.

"They had twins just last two years, right?" Another asked and the second Luna nodded affirmatively.

Meanwhile Luna Celeste grunted at the other end of the table, and blinked herself back to be there with them. They're all making her feel uncomfortable and… jealous?

"What about you, Celeste? Has—"

"No, he hasn't." She grumbled out and lied, then only to become pissed off, "And can you all quit making me so jealous?"

When they all dawned their eyes on her, after a beat, she managed to choke out. "Since none of you seem to relate with how hurting it must have been for me."

It's a shame telling them her son has a mate, who can never birth a child. What then will happen to her reputation? No, never.

"I can relate too, Celeste. My daughter hasn't found hers and we spoke about it, didn't we?"

"We did." She leaned back so that she cB all of them. "If we can just change the topic, what's today's meeting for…?" An open straight way of expressing her disinterest.

The Alpha's mate- Alexia, sat up in bed, suddenly her body went still as she looked beside the physician hovered at her bedside, and there's one of the maids.

"Princess Alexia, it is important that you begin to move around. Your body needs to regain its strength, and the only way to do that is to start taking short walks."

Alexia shuddered at the thought immediately scrubbing the heels of her hands under her eyes as she tried not to cry. Can she do this? Is she strong enough now?

"I will need you to assist her in this. It will not be an easy task, and I expect you to be diligent and careful." Alexia grimaced as he spoke with the maid, just imagining how it'll be struggling to take steps. The accident was fatal after all, it's not a child's play to slip.

"Yes, physician. I will do as you say."
The physician nodded as the maid said, his lips thinning into line as he looked at his Alpha's mate who looked to be agony. "Good. Then we shall begin tomorrow. She must be ready by then."

The next day came and inside the room Alexia was being carefully dressed by the maid she prepared for her walk, and as they emerged from the house, Alexia's feet shuffled against the ground as she took slow steps, the grip of the maid's arm around her waist providing her some support.

She's in discomfort but wants to recover soon. She wants to be able to go anywhere without any body's assistance, and eat without been fed. That been said she hasn't seen the Alpha today when he's always the first person she'd always wake up to see.

"You're telling there's no alcohol in this house?" Ava has her mouth wide open at the kitchen like it was utterly unbelievable.

"No, there's not." Alexia can hear the maid's response to Ava.

"Then I'll go get some. I don't know why there won't be such an important stuff in a pack house at that—" fumbling Ava quited arguing and surged out of the kitchen where she met Alexia and a maid standing.

"Oh hi." She tried to not clench her jaw as Ava purred, "How are you feeling? I'm sorry I haven't been changed to check up on you lately."

She's about to take the mess with the conversation when she suddenly arched her spine and replied, "It's no problem."

Then signalled to the maid for them to continue on their stroll, causing Ava to scoff at their retreating figure, "What a fool."

Why is she getting the feeling that this lady is about to become a real piece of work? She narrowed her eyes, quickly swirling around to… wait, he's been behind her? Alpha Steele!

"Is that so?" He said gruffly.

He was just coming out of his study room, went to check Alexia in her room but was told she's on her way for her stroll, thus, he's following her when his ears just had to pick on Ava's statement.

"What? Oh, I was speaking to the maid, since none of them can seem to find me an alcohol." She shrugged eyes on her nails.

Then she left after giving him a low bow, only to place her hand on her thumping chest once she was out of view, she better be careful next time.

Alpha Steele met Alexia and the maid at the garden, took a seat beside her and without having to say it the maid excused them.

"Is that all the stroll you can take?"

She paused for a bit lips parted but with no words coming out. Great, even the Alpha knew she barely walked.

"I feel tired already, I'll continue after some rest." Her eyes momentarily stray to her hands spread out flat on either sides of her. "I haven't seen the Luna today too?"

Rather than happy she's curious.

"She must be at one of her friend's." He leaned back in his seat and told her levelly.

He intently looked into her eyes trying to show her how sincere he's being since she doesn't seem to believe.

"Okay, fine." She laughed and he shook his head twice at her.

They discussed and each time he didn't failure to input his, just to keep her company. Until his phone began to ring in his pocket, the caller ID telling him he needed to get back to work.

"I'll have to leave." He stated conclusively and stood up.

"Alpha Steel—" She waited for him to turn around before calling out to him and he wagged a brow at her.

"Thank you." She said at last.
