On the way to a business meeting with the Alpha who's seated at the backseat, Kade's eyes were the first to squint. “That looks like the Marcus guy.”

Alpha Steele followed the direction and truly at the other side of them by the roadside was the guy, Marcus. This marks the second time he was seeing him.

“Where is he headed?” Kade asked no one in particular, slowing down a bit to stare through the rearview mirror.

He's now walked past the car, looking in a hurry. Alpha Steele who had wanted to dismiss the topic and order him to continue driving looked behind; that wasn't the direction of Marcus' home according to the report Kade had given to him the other day.

This can only mean…
.
.
“Someone asked to meet me? And you just allowed the person in?” Alexia half yelled, swinging on a jacket as she tried to find her flip-flops.

The maid quickly hurried for it under the bed, “No, of course not. He's at the gate, the security guards didn't allow him inside.”

As Alexia slipped her feet into her footwear and was about hopping off, she looked behind her remembering one thing that almost escaped her mind.

“What did the person say was his name?” she asked and she watched the maid crease her head perhaps trying to remember.

“May—? No. I can't remember, but I think it started with the ‘M’ letter.”

“Marcus?” Alexia gave her first attempt the maid's bldnker confusion was replaced by her affirmative nod of head, “Yes, ma'am.”

That caused her to remain on the spot, a hand on her waist as she thought of the pros and cons. She didn't even want to see me and he should be here. He had been dealt with once and it won't be funny if it's found here the second time.

Moreso, he doesn't deserve to get even a glitter peek at her face.

“Let him know I am busy right now and can't see him.” she firmly said, sending the maid off.

I rummages around in the cabinets and somehow, somewhere found a can of soda even though I searched the cabinets last night for spare but couldn't find.

She took a long sip and then wiped her mouth.

“If he thought I was going to see him then he must be out of his dark mind.” she said to herself, taking another long sip from the sode bottle before placing back its cover on it and placing it on the desk before her.

Alpha Steele isn't around doesn't mean she's going to stand the same spot as him and listen to his pleads begging her to come back to him. After he has used her?

After he sent her out of the brothel and had rogues attack her leading to her loss of pregnancy and new infertility? Was he joking.

He better find something else to do with his time. Mere thinking of how much he's spoiled her life makes her want to go down there and strangle him.

Well, that's exactly what she did.

She was out of her room in no time, she met the maid on her way. “He refused to leave ma'am. He asked for just one minute—”

“No, it's fine, don't bother.” She raised a finger in the air and interrupted. She then walked past the maid who quickly bowed down her head.

One minute? Isn't that too little for the whole rambling he's going to be making.

The guard by the entrance door let the door opened and she walked out, straight towards the gate in which after a slight bow the security guard let her out of.

“Why are you here?” She headed towards him and when he turned around and saw her, she wondered if she was to tell him yet.

“I came to see, Lexi.” He said and I sighed.

Maybe it's the fact that she suddenly felt irritated by that name coming from his mouth that she blurted, “Don't. Don't call me that ever again. If doesn't deserve to me out of your mouth, do you understand me?” The only person who gets to call her that if her mate.

Marcus is currently trespassing and she doesn't like it.

“Okay, I understand but…”

“I didn't come to exchange words with you. I just want to send my words of gratitude and appreciate you for the terrible things you have done to me. If you have a little ounce of shame in you, you would see you ain't even supposed to be here. I'm handing over all judgement to be the moon goddess but the next time I lose it, I so won't be able to help it and trust me, you won't like where you had meet yourself.”

As soon as she said that, she both regretted and relished in it. She meant this wasn't what she ought to do. She told myself she won't be saying one or two to him but rather deal with him, yank at his hair or something but something kept holding her back.

The fear of taking judgement into her own hands.

“If this is what you want, I understand. But this isn't what I am here for. I understand I did some terrible things to you back then but I wasn't in my right mind, I was loosing it. Please accept my apology, nothing is going well for me as I speak.”

“What does that have to do with me?”

That's it with these men. When they come back, it's either there's changes with the same girl the dumped and did bad to or things are going the wrong way for them.

This will be her last time with him. She hasn't even turned towards the gate to go back inside when she saw the same sparkling black sport car Kade had driven the Alpha with heading their way.

Marcus seemed to see it too, both of their eyes widening at the same time.
