8. Arrangement /18+ details/
"Watchers, my wife and I still need to talk out some details. Both of you can head upstairs and check on the princess. We will ask for you to join after we settle the matter. Let's say an hour for us to talk, and we shall hold a meeting in my cabinet afterward. Make sure Ally is safe and awake by the time when the meeting is held; she is involved in this matter; therefore, the princess should sit down with us."
Eros didn't bother to leave any place for arguments. Of course, he would always bend to make Eve happy, but he was a leader for a reason. The dominant male eyed everyone from his heights.
Eve was a Queen- equal, yet not as influential or powerful as her father. Ally, as a princess, would be obligated to follow the lead of her parents. The Watchers- trustworthy servants.
Any of them could try to argue or deny the King's demands, but it wouldn't end well. Eros was on the top of the food chain, regardless of which species you stood for- the King was one.
"Of course, your majesty," both powerful shadow creatures disappeared within seconds. It didn't take much time for Eros and Eve to hear Ally's laughter and the intensive chatter of women.
Both parents smiled, Eve hoped that her daughter was feeling better while Eros tried to convince himself that she was taking the news easily.
"May I?" Eros turned his body to face Eve and offered his hand.
The King knew how angry his mate was, so her quick response and smile left him speechless. She slid her hand in his and held the bottom of her swollen belly with the other hand.
Eros couldn't get over himself whenever he watched Eve, especially when she didn't notice his intense gaze. He loved the way his mate blossomed within the time of pregnancy, despite the awful side effects. The flame in her eyes seemed to become brighter with each day. The woman's pace reminded one of a penguin, but the King thought that there was nothing cuter than her wobbling around the house. She always held on her growing belly in the most loving and protective way. But the thing he loves the most was her hidden conversations with their unborn child- she hid in the library and told tales to the growing miracle. Eros often thanked the Gods for Eve being a human- she didn't have the extraordinary senses. If Eve could sense him close to the other side of the door, Eros wouldn't hear the beautiful things she spoke about. His mate praised him and their daughter, promising the unborn child to have the most loving parents and sister. Day by day, she promised their child the safety and warmth of a real family. And for that, Eros was beyond grateful for having a mate such as Eve.
"The baby's kicking, she doesn't seem to be in a good mood today. Could you please help me to get upstairs, the arguing tired me," Eve spoke quietly, her cheeks flushed in embarrassment.
"My pleasure," Eros grinned, leaning down and sliding his hand under Eve's knees and back. He proudly carried his mate in bridal style, smiling at any person who passed them. The servants knew how much their King loved to show off the woman on his arms.
The younger maids kept idolizing him as the perfect mate. A dominant man with rather complicated nature and anger issues, acting like a puppy around the female. Shifters could easily cheat on their mates; no matter was the bond gifted by the Moon Goddess or chosen by the shifter. The palace was filled with beautiful women from different social strata of society- from maids to millionaires.
And guess who never cared for those women? The King- Eros had eyes only for his mate. Even when she woke up, he would drool over the woman.
"Am I heavy?" Eve whispered in his ear. Even though she loved the thought of having another baby- she became more insecure by the days. As the baby bump grew more significant, she found more flaws in herself than ever. They say that nothing makes a woman more beautiful than pregnancy, but Eve begged to differ.
"As heavy as a feather," Eros grinned. His mate didn't want to believe in his words, but he was speaking nothing but the truth. She always forgot about his inhumane strength, even if Eve would weigh as much as a whole building- he would still carry her around. The fact that he had his pregnant mate on his arms did make Eros incredibly proud. He couldn't stop smiling like a man who just won the battle of the century.
"Liar," Eve playfully smacked his cheek, laughing as she did. Moments as such, made her forget about whatever arguments or disagreements they had.
"I had no idea about how pregnancy could affect your memory, love. I am a Lycanthrope, a King at that," Eros laughed.
"And? I know who you are and where you stand, weirdo," Eve bit onto her lip. Despite the playful mood, she felt flushed, hot, and bothered. Most of the time, his dominant and demanding nature turned her on, but sometimes the same scenario followed his gentle, yet teasing actions.
"To put it in different words- I am strong." Eros laughed out loud, looking down at his mate. He couldn't stop admiring her beauty even when the woman was angry at him. No matter what she did- Eve was beyond perfect in his eyes, making the King feel more like a lovesick pup than a powerful ruler.
He kicked the cabinet door open and closed it with his leg. The man headed straight for the leather chair in which he usually sat. Eve thought that he might put her on the sofa, but it didn't happen. Eros sat down with Eve still on his arms, snuggling closer to her neck.
His hands tightened the hold on her body a bit before traveling down to her hips. They still had sex, despite Eve's insecurities about her body and how her shapes changed, but unlike her, Eros didn't care. His mate became more desirable in the King's eyes, especially breasts. He loved to watch how her belly grew with their child, but the thing he couldn't get enough of was her lush breasts.
"So smell so damn arousing," Eros whispered in her ear as a low growl formed in his chest. His words made Eve blush, throwing more fuel to her already flushed body.
"You demanded us to talk things out, don't you remember that?" Eve blurted out, trying her best to get her mind off his teasing. She would lie if she would dare to say that the woman wasn't aroused, and sure enough, he could scent that.
"We can do both- a little bit of talking, a little bit of pleasure. I'll try my best to keep myself away from your lips- you talk, I'll do my thing," Eros wiggled his eyebrows, teasing Eve. He did want to talk, but he also barely resisted from tearing her clothes apart. The beast in him demanded to claim what was theirs over and over again. Bright scenarios of Eve's trembling form on his office desk, her lips parted as she moaned out his name, invaded his mind. Eros felt his member pushing against the zipper of his jeans, making the clothing feel way too tight, at this point- unnecessary, in his opinion. The man groaned, leaning to her neck, his lips attacking the mating mark.
"An hour Eros, you demanded for an hour. We can't do both, and we need to talk before it's too late. I'm leaving this cabinet with a decision, and then you won't be able to stop me. Not now, not ever," Eve stood her ground. If she gave in to the temptation- she would find herself locked in the bathroom, stripped and thrown into the shower, trapped between the wall and her mate's body. The pregnancy wasn't easy for various aspects, one of them being horny most of the time. Whenever her eyes fell upon the male, her body reacted in the most unbelievable ways- one look was enough for her pussy to drip. Her body reproduced an insane amount of pheromones, making the King hide his mate away from other's eyes for most of the day. Eve spent her days in his cabinet, comfortably laying on the sofa, giving in to the sexual desires whenever he approached her. She loved how Eros used to eye her like a hungry animal, simply because she was the only one he looked at in that way. She was the only one who could trigger his hunger.
Eve lost herself in the fantasies and small bits of memories about their wildest days spent in the cabinet. She kept biting onto her lip, trying to avoid moaning without a real reason.
"Kitten, keep on doing that, and I'm going to bend you over this desk, right here," Eros spoke with a hint of a low growl. His hand landed on the surface of the desk: "And I'll slam my cock in that dripping pussy of yours until you beg for mercy. But I won't stop, not until I'm satisfied enough and claim what's mine. Think of what you do to me, Eve; I haven't been able to hold my hands to myself whenever you're near. In the heat or not, crazy of the pregnancy or not- all I keep thinking about is slamming my cock into you. Now, if you want to talk, please do, before I lose the last bit of control I have in me." Eve could hear how her mate was losing all control from his voice alone. She leaned closer, pressed her lips against his, and whispered a mere "calm down."
"We do need to talk. I understand that you don't want to see us going. I appreciate that you're trying to do the right thing, but you have to understand me and my point of view. I can't sacrifice the future and happiness of my daughter because of some arrangement. Of course, the Kingdom and safety of our people is the priority, but at what cost? What is the line you won't cross? When will you reach the point when it's enough?" Eve watched how the playful mood disappeared, and the King's face turned completely serious.
They sat in silence for a while. Eve kept thinking should she talk more or give him time to process her previous words. Eros is a smart man; he didn't make rushed decisions and always thought for days before acting. He liked to think of the possible consequences and outcomes for any action he makes. Eros knew that the result for arranged marriage would be bad, but the thought of Eve leaving didn't cross his mind. Nor did her threats about suicide.
"There isn't much I can do anymore. How about we come up with an agreement? Let's say you're one side, and I am the other." Eros came up with the idea that didn't seem appealing, yet for the current situation, it might be the best way out.
"I'm listening."
"You don't want the arranged marriage, we haven't heard Ally's thoughts on the situation, but I'm sure she isn't happy either. On the other hand, I can not call it off- it'll result in putting our people under more danger. Love, Lord Fenrir, isn't quite the most helpful guy in the town. His son is about to take over the throne; the young man pointed out that he, as a Royalty, must be married to a Royalty," Eve cut off Eros in the middle of the sentence. For her, some facts didn't seem to add up as it did for others.
"Wait, hold up right here. Did you say a Royalty? Weren't the Royals killed, making you the last alive successor of the higher kind?" she furrowed her brows, wondering was Eros trying to lie or was he finally telling everything. Eve knew that sooner or later, she would find out more, but never did she think that the information would come under such circumstances.
"Alright, first of all- yes and no. For the Kingdom, yes, for the underground- no. It's a pretty long story, but centuries ago, when the Watchers were created, the Kingdom was ruled by a man named Magnus. He enslaved the creatures of the shadows and darkness to build his perfect warriors, some of them known as our friends- Anto and Baka. That's when the war between us started, one I'm trying to prevent now. As the shifters ruled the Kingdom, there were Royalties of the darkness living underground, one of them is my friend Lord Fenrir." Eros took a deep breath before any other word would leave his lips, but Eve cut him off once again.
"If he is your friend, what's the problem of ending war because y=of your friendship then?" Her words made Eros chuckle. His Queen was a curious one, but sometimes she did show that she's missing some common sense.
"We can't stop centuries of war because we're friends, love. We met years ago, back then I had no idea about my roots and that one day I would be a King. We were kids with shared interests and grew close as time went by. None of us want that war, but the people of our lands don't share the same opinion. The Kingdom still felt bitter for the suffering and underground couldn't forgive the pain which fell upon them centuries ago. They may forgive, but they won't forget. That's why we decided to arrange the marriage, well, that and one other thing," Eros sighed, leaning down and placing a gentle kiss on Eve's forehead.
"What's the other thing? Please don't hold back; I need to know everything before any decision is made," Eve urged her mate to explain more. She started to understand the seriousness of the situation, but it didn't mean that she was willing to give up on hiding Ally.
"Their prince isn't as loving and caring towards others as our daughter is. Of course, Ally is struggling with anger issues, but she stands nowhere close to the underground heir. The man is to take the throne within two years. He demanded to marry a princess because he had no idea that the princess truly existed. He was sure that our Kingdom doesn't have a ruler, so the young man wanted to take over as soon as the throne of shadows was his. Trust me, he wasn't entirely happy after finding out that he has a bride either. I heard that he is a good guy, but needs to be tamed. I know, this is selfish of me, but I know how strong our daughter is- Ally would deal with the brat within seconds." Eros grinned; the thought of his daughter beating up the spoiled prince made his day. Like any other proud father- he was sure that there isn't a greater daughter than his own.
"We have two years, right?" Eve placed a finger on her lips as the thoughts ran through her mind. She might have an idea.
"Correct."
"I won't leave since I want you next to me as the baby is born. I will need to stay close to survive if my health gets worse," Eve tried to speak more, but Eros cut her off with his lips tightly pressed against hers. He kissed Eve with more hunger than he ever did, making her feel like he feared her disappearing. They broke the kiss, both panting for breath.
"I wasn't done," Eve rasped, a bright blush appearing on her cheeks.
"I know, sorry, Ares, and I got a bit too excited after you said that you'd stay. I was forced to live without you by my side once; I wouldn't survive another time." The sincerity in his voice nearly made Eve cry. Each time when Eros spoke about his feelings and fears regarding their relationship- Eve fell in love with him a little more than before. Eros proved to her that finding the one meant falling for the person over and over again.
"I won't leave, but Ally will. We will send her to Balthazar and Mary- they will teach her the proper things and history about those creatures. She will have two years, without pressure, to accept the marriage. For all, I care- they can divorce soon after we unite the Kingdom. In the meantime, we will visit her, and she will visit us. I think this is the best outcome possible- she will need time, and we will too. I have to get used to the thought, and you will come up with a contract with that friend of yours. It goes my way or no way at all." Eve grinned; she knew that she won the moment Eros started thinking about her decision.
"Or I can leave with my daughters, and you forget about sex till the end of your days. No matter how much pain I'll be in, no matter how badly my pussy drips for you- your cock is coming nowhere close to my body. Think of cheating, and I'll cut it off while you're asleep." Eve added. Eros gulped loudly, despite the power he held- he knew that the woman in his lap is fully capable of such doings.
"Fuck," he hissed, slamming his lips against hers and sliding his right hand in Eve's panties. He parted her wet folds and slammed a finger into her pussy, massaging her clit with his thumb.
"You must be so wet for me, don't you? Consider this a deal if I can fuck you right here, right now," Eros growled against her lips.
Eve broke their kiss and tilted her head to the side, letting a moan escape her lips. Eros attacked her neck, greedily covering her skin in bruises.
"Deal. Fuck me."
