11. Come here and tell me your name.
"Yeah, we do actually," Arex splat back at the stranger.
About five feet from Ally and Arex stood a man around his early twenties. The male was more than six feet tall, his jawline covered in gentle-looking stubble. Ally could notice the muscular frame without putting an extra effort into observing the male. His shoulders were broad; the stranger was definitely a fan of the gym- probably working out more than anyone would willingly. The only odd thing about him was that he didn't carry any scent as other shifters did. He didn't smell like a human either.
Ally raised an eyebrow as her eyes greedily roamed over his body. The male noticed her eyes on him and grinned, winking at the young woman. He returned the favor by letting his gaze take in her curves.
He bit onto his lower lip and took a deep breath before speaking again.
"You can have all of this; all you have to do is ask," the male opened his arms in a rather inviting manner, the grin on his face widening.
Ally shivered at his actions, noticing how cocky the male actually turned out to be. At first glance, he seemed to be somewhat reserved, more down to earth person. At this point, the princess felt sad simply because he opened his mouth.
"I rather not," Ally spat back, ripping her gaze away from the male. She had no intention in pairing herself up with cocky people- she had met way too many of those in her last school.
The princess wanted to have a peaceful time at the new school. She had one over-the-top friend, waiting for her return home, and that was enough. Sally might feel threatened by the egoism this man was showing off. Ally was left sitting between two cocky males, and she wasn't sure which one of them would be worse.
"Come on, don't say no to yourself. I'm pretty much up to any kind of fun," the male spoke up again. He didn't notice how Ally ignored his existence.
"Yeah, keep telling that to yourself, big boy. I'm engaged, smartass. Shoo-shoo," Ally moved her hand, showing off the irritation.
Her actions made him amused; the grin left his lips, soon replaced by a smile as he spoke again: "Did you just tried to shoo me away? And engaged, huh? Aren't you too young for that?"
"Aren't you too old to try to hit on me, huh? Since you can't take in the given information as soon as you hear it, I'll repeat myself. I am engaged, go away- not interested," Ally jumped on her feet and turned around. If the male even thought of approaching her- she would be ready to strike.
"Feisty, I like that. Come here and tell me your name," the man didn't seem like one who'd give up anytime soon. He was so full of himself that the whole situation became rather ridiculous.
"Go away, Deimos, she obviously doesn't want to stick around you. You'll get your ass beaten by King Azra if you annoy this one. Have some fucking respect, you're speaking to the princess." Arex joined their little argument, sounding a bit too irritated.
"Oh, so you're the princess everyone's talking about. Must admit, you're a lot more gorgeous than I thought you'd be. Are you a brat, princess? Is your resistance an attempt to seduce me?" Deimos bit on his lip, letting his gaze fall on Ally's ass.
"I could try to seduce you, but when I think about it... Damn, I'm not an eight-year-old boy, boo," Ally spat back, way too angry to stay there. She turned towards the school entrance and stomped away from both men.
"Don't be so hard on yourself, sugarplum! I'd prefer you over any grown woman, don't assume my sexual orientation, princess," Deimos yelled from the gardens. The male watched how she left the gardens with an amused smirk on his lips. He was feeling quite curious about this said princess since someone mentioned her in the classroom. Deimos wasn't one of the students- he was the one who made sure that all shifters were ready if the territory fell under an attack. At age twenty one the male had managed to get pretty far career-wise, showing his family that he can do anything if he really wants to. His mother and father wanted him to take over the family business, but he was never even merely interested.
Arex ran after Ally, trying his best to calm her down: "I'm sorry, Deimos can be an asshole, at times. He's been like that for a while now, personal reasons, you know. He can be a nice person if you don't look at his cocky nature.''
"And how do you know that? You know what? It doesn't matter- the morning, so far, has been disastrous enough. I just want to go home and get under covers until my mother or father calls me to scream at me like crazy. I haven't been here for a whole day yet and already got myself in major trouble. I'll find uncle Balthazar; maybe he will take me home," Ally had no intention in listening to whatever others had to say.
Anyone could try to cheer her up, but she doubted that at least one person could manage to do that. Her life turned upside down- she's engaged, ripped away from everything she knew, left in a new city with shifters she didn't know. The only positive thing seemed to be Balthazar's and Mary's company in the way.
Thinking back, Ally started regretting taking her friend with her- it should be a journey for herself, not the whole support group.
"Yeah, maybe that'll be better. Just lay down and give yourself some time. Let's go; I'll walk you to the principal's office," Arex threw his arm around Ally's shoulder and smiled. The princess didn't mind his actions- she was too tired of overthinking.
Both reached the principal's office laughing about some things Arex was telling Ally from his childhood. He turned out to be a rather amusing and challenging kid. The young woman started changing her opinion on the male; the more they spoke- his over the top behavior was the complete opposite of the personality.
Balthazar left the office and smiled at both teens, he liked seeing the princess happy, hopefully- gaining more friends.
The Lord wasn't the biggest fan of the girl who had to accompany Ally to the new school. She was the one who acted like a princess more than Ally did. The young lady had a rather sharp tongue, especially towards people who worked in the house. Lord did silently hope that Ally would drop her ungrateful, rude friend.
"Getting along much better, I see," Balthazar cleared his throat and spoke in a low voice, gaining the teen's attention.
"Uncle Balthazar, could you please take me home? I don't feel good and would love to spend the rest of the day in bed. Arex can't, he still has a couple of lessons to attend, I'm already taking too much time out of his day," Ally tried to speak quietly, seeing how people wanted to approach them once again. She didn't want anyone around her, especially ones who expected nothing but trouble and drama from her.
"I'm sorry, but I have to make an urgent phone call and see what I can do with the issue regarding publicity. I know one young man who could take you home- he's the one responsible for security issues around here. Let me find out where he is, alright, sweetheart?" Balthazar cupped her face and smiled down on Ally in a manner only a loving father would. Since he and his mate found out about Ally- they acted like another set of parents for the princess. None of the Royals wanted to step back as grandparents, so Ally got the double deal.
"Sure, as long as I get back home and can sleep my life away," Ally rolled her eyes. She wanted to head back home with Balthazar or at least Arex. Someone she knew better than someone she just met.
"Don't worry, I trust him, and he's not much older than you are. I'm sure you two can become great friends in time. No funny business," Balthazar walked away laughing. He knew the irony of his joke- Ally was promised to someone and surprisingly took the news well.
The princess and Arex spoke for a while until the young male was forced to join his lessons- the school didn't take student absence kindly. Ally was left alone, sitting in the hall next to the principal's office. While she waited for the man to appear and take her home, she listened to some music, silently singing along.
"You have a nice voice, almost as beautiful as you are," someone ripped the earbud out of her ear and whispered next to her ear. The stranger startled Ally, yet her surprised state was soon replaced by anger.
In front of her stood Deimos, arms crossed in front of his chest, grinning like the Cheshire cat. He was amazingly good looking- face and body sculpted by Gods, but the personality probably was bought in some second-hand store. No one wanted the type of character, so they threw it out, hoping nobody would find it.
"Can you fuck off for once? Wasn't it visible enough that I don't want to be near you? A little over yourself, ain't you?" Ally nearly screamed in his face, jumping on her feet. She rekt of anger and irritation, a scent which usually made shifters avoid the Royals.
"Classy, beautiful, feisty, dirty mouth and smell of a damn Goddess. You're the whole package. Now, drop that irritation and follow me, I'm supposed to take you home," Deimos grabbed her wrist and pulled Ally towards the exit.
She tried to protest and snatch her wrist out of his hold, but the male's reaction was faster than she assumed. On top of that, he was surprisingly stronger than Ally.
*"He can overpower me any day, anytime, "Seraphima purred from the back of Ally's mind. The beast was weak for men who seemed to be stronger than she was. An Alpha female had difficulties finding Alpha males, which were much more potent.
*"Shut your dirty mouth, ew. My virgin ears, thoughts, eyes, whatever- everything virgin hurts,"* Ally spat back at her beast, hating the sudden appearance.
*"Yeah, so your whole being, body and lifetime hurt. Such a smart cookie you are."* Seraphima laughed as her voice faded. The beast shut Ally off to silently watch how the situation might be handled.
"Not sure if anyone introduced simple things about politeness to you, but usually we don't talk to inner creatures while others try to speak to us. Just like now- I've been asking you questions for a while, yet you find the inner bitch more exciting." Deimos laughed, pushing Ally into the front passenger seat of his car and buckling her seat belt. She stopped his attempt to close the door and growled at the male.
"I never agreed to go anywhere with you. You're a creep; I don't want you to know where I live. Don't forget that you're pretty much an asshole yourself, don't blame me for finding that inner bitch more exciting than your sorry piece of ass," Ally kept snarling and growling as enraged words left her lips.
Deimos didn't show off any reaction to her words until the male leaned closer to her, almost hovering over her form and spoke: "I know where you live, princess, since I've visited Lord Balthazar more than just a few times. It's fine if you want to walk, but I won't break the promise of getting you home safe. Keep acting like a brat, and I'll knock on your window as soon as your clothes hit the floor. I'm aware of my bad temper, but I wasn't aware that you checked out my ass- thanks for telling me," the cocky grin on his lips was one worth a severe slap. Ally growled again, ready to shut that mouth, but before she did- Deimos leaned to her neck and whispered: "Just in case if you didn't know- you're amazingly hot when you growl. Please, do keep on going."
His words shut the young woman completely, her jaw dropped. The male took the moment of her surprise and closed the door, walking around the car and laughing as if someone would tickle him.
*"This is going to be one damn torturous car drive,"* Ally thought to herself, looking out of the window. *"As long as he doesn't ask questions- I'll be fine."*
"So, what's your name?"
