11.Moving your body like a nympho.
**Eve**
Time passed by faster than Eve expected; as each day came to an end, she felt more pressure. Sometimes, she found herself feeling guilty for hurting Eros and telling all those lies- the regret didn't last for long, though.
"Evangeline, darling, are you going to leave your room today?" Her mother suddenly appeared next to the bed, a flash of hope in her eyes.
"I don't feel good today, Mother. Maybe tomorrow." Eve rolled her body, avoiding looking at her mother. The past days have been rough enough. Her parents overheard the argument Eve and shifter had, yet never questioned her. They didn't know all the details or why Eros had left in such a hurry.
"Not today, young lady. You have a guest waiting for you in the living room. Now, get out of the bed, take a shower, and change. I'll come to check on you in thirty minutes, better be ready by then," her mother scolded her, turning around and rushing out of the room before Eve could ask questions. Her heart raced, dreading the thought that Eros had arrived early. She wasn't ready to leave, just yet. After all, he did promise her a whole week, which Eve had already wasted by sleeping and reading books. Hurriedly, she took a shower and changed into a warm sweater and casual pants. Eve looked at herself in the mirror and sighed. Because of the constant stress, she had lost a couple of pounds, yet she didn't feel thinner. She left her room and headed downstairs, meeting her mother in the middle of the stairway.
"There you are. Come on, let's go, this will be a pleasant surprise," she grabbed Eve's hand and dragged her to the living room. On the sofa sat a woman, not older than Eve. A woman she didn't know.
"Hello?" Eve greeted her in the form of a question, hoping that the woman will introduce herself.
"Hi. Wow. You're so pretty. I mean, hello. It's so nice to meet you. Has anyone before told you how pretty you are? Silly me, of course, lots of people had. Oh, sorry, I'm a bit nervous. Hi," she spoke fast, cheeks flushed red.
"Hi. Thank you, I guess. I'm Eve, it's nice to meet you," Eve took the initiative to move to introductions, avoiding any unnecessary part of the conversation.
"Yeah, I know. And you're gorgeous, let me tell you that. Anyway, my name is Afia; I'm your mate's cousin. Since he's been hiding you from everyone, I decided to do some digging and meet you, before anyone else does," she flashed a bright smile and stood up, opening her arms for a hug. Both women sat down and looked around a bit confused. None of them spoke, the atmosphere in the room changed, so her mother offered both some tea, just to leave.
"Okay, now your mom has left, I'm here because I want to invite you to a night out. I don't have many friends, and most of them are busy with their mates. I kind of sneaked into my cousin's office and stole some information about you. Please, please come with me tonight. I'm bored to death," the young woman begged Eve. She bit her lip nervously, afraid that the human would deny her offer and make her leave. For her surprise, Eve smiled and nodded her head.
"I-I don't have anything proper to wear. I don't think that I have any clothing for going out. I'm more of a homebody type of person," Eve nibbled on her nails, ashamed of herself. She never loved going shopping or showing off her body. She had never even gone out clubbing or drinking.
"That's not a problem; I can lend you some of my clothes." Afia giggled, sitting closer to Eve. She was about to speak when Eve's mother came back, placing two cups of tea on the table.
"Thank you, Mrs. Dyer. Eve and I just spoke, I'd love some bonding time with her as a new part of our family, that is, if you wouldn't mind. We were planning to go shopping, my treat, and later on going to movies, maybe. I was kind of hoping that we could have a sleepover at mine," Afia knew the perfect way to show off those puppy dog eyes.
"Of course, I'd be happy to see her leaving the house and enjoying time with other girls. Don't let me hold you back, go, have fun," she rushed the girls to leave. Eve sat still, shocked that her mother was letting her go. For her whole life, her mother had kept her hidden from everyone, protecting from danger, and now- she did the complete opposite. The girls hugged Eve's mother, promising to come back around noon the next day and left. Afia drove them to her house, both enjoying the comfortable silence. Everything went by in a blur and Eve soon found herself standing in front of a mirror, wearing a skin-tight mini dress and heels. She gasped.
"I think I zoned out for a bit. We just sat in your car, and now I'm here. Holy shit, I look like a whore," Eve whispered, trying to cover all the revealed skin.
"I was trying to get your attention, but you were deep in thoughts, so I just dragged you here and chose an outfit for you," Afia shrugged her shoulders, a proud grin on her lips.
"There isn't anything else I could wear? Please? I do appreciate your effort; it's just that I don't feel comfortable. For years, all I've worn was mostly hoodies and pants. Now, I don't feel like myself." Eve looked down at her feet, ashamed and scared. She honestly didn't want to make the shifter feel bad or offended.
"I might have something special. Give me a minute," Afia winked at her and rushed back into the closet. After a couple of vile swear words, Afia stood in front of Eve, holding a huge box.
"It's new; it didn't fit me. Good thing I didn't throw it out, it's perfect for you," she smiled and pushed the box into Eve's hands, rushing her to the bathroom.
"Change. I'll wait. Then we'll do your hair." Eve nodded and closed the door, carefully placing the box into the sink. She opened it and gasped. It was another dress, yet this one was the complete opposite of the one she wore. The dress was simple but elegant. Long, almost reaching Eve's ankles, a high slit on one side. Unknowingly, a smile grew on her face. To her surprise, the dress seemed to be made for Eve. She dropped the mini dress and slid on the new one. This time, upon seeing her reflection, Eve smiled. It took her twenty-one years to feel beautiful and all thanks to a simple dress, given by a stranger.
Eve left the bathroom, Afia’s eyes landed on her, the girl started whistling and clapping.
"Eve, you're gorgeous," Afia yelled, jumping around the human girl as if she were the most precious thing ever seen.
"Let's do your hair now, we're late," she urged Eve to sit down. After they were done with everything, both women sat in the car and headed towards the town's biggest shifter club. Afia did her best to calm down Eve, explaining how things work there and what she should avoid. The atmosphere around the club was loud, yet only after stepping into it, Eve understood how loud it actually could get. Afia ran straight to the bar, grabbing a couple of cocktails and handing one to Eve. At first, both stuck together like glue. After about a half an hour, Afia suggested for Eve to dance a bit. She promised to join her in a minute. Eve didn't feel like dancing alone, actually, like doing anything there on her own. But she changed her mind after noticing how Afia’s eyes got stuck on a male, standing next to the bar.
"Don't leave me for long," Eve whispered in her ear and headed to the dance floor.
She didn't notice how eyes followed her movements; Eve’s curvy figure like a Goddess in the dress she wore. The music was calming her; Eve could feel her body relaxing. For the ones watching Eve, it seemed like she was trying to seduce someone. Her palms were caressing her waist, going up to her neck and finally, fingers tangled in the silver hair, while hips moved painfully slowly, for the eyes which followed her. She gave her all to the music, feeling free and content for one moment of her life. She kept dancing, song after song, forgetting about her new friend completely. It was bliss. Until, a pair of hands wrapped around her waist, roughly pulling her back against a rock-hard chest.
"Evangeline," the all too familiar voice whispered in her ear, sending a wave of shivers all over her body. Why was he here?
"Don't you see how they are looking at you? Do you enjoy how they keep stripping you with their eyes, waiting for a moment when you'll be alone? Don't you understand how seductively you're swinging your hips?" He placed a gentle kiss on her neck, sliding his hands onto her hips. Eve didn't respond, she gave in to his touch, letting him lead her.
"I love your dress. The color compliments your skin, won't even mention how amazing your body looks in it. There's just one thing," Eros spoke huskily, his breath tickling her flushed skin.
"What?" Eve finally turned around, facing him, both lost in each other's eyes.
"I am the only one who can see you dressed like this. I told you before- your body belongs to me," he breathed heavily, holding her dangerously close. Eve shook her head.
"Eros," she whispered, about to speak her mind on everything she felt.
"No. You don't understand. All eyes are on you; I hate it. You're mine, Eve, mine. And yet, you're here, moving your body like a nympho, in front of all these men." Eve didn't have time to think of things to say as she felt it. His lips came crashing down right onto hers, kissing with such hunger and passion, she barely managed to breathe.
