35. Lights, they blind me.

When the two men left, Ally stood alone, dumbfounded. The young woman couldn't move a muscle, her thoughts rushing in the speed of light. The Princess couldn't catch a moment alone, since Wrath seemed to be everywhere. Just a while ago, she cried in silence, missing the male who was nothing but a monster in everyone else's eyes, yet then again- he appeared next to her. She couldn't resist the temptation to step a bit closer whenever he was around. Ally couldn't explain how she felt- one moment she wanted to be alone, the next she feared him leaving her for good.

"Damn it; you promised to give me a year. Three fucking times! You will keep on appearing out of thin air whenever someone will be around me, won't you? Will you ever be man enough to keep the promise you've given?" The Princess yelled out loud to nobody in particular. Honestly, her words were meant to reach Wrath, and they most likely will. If Seraphima is right, he will stay around, watching them, making sure his beloved mate is safe and sound.

"This is ridiculous, that's right, Ally, keep on talking to yourself. It's not like everyone around you wouldn't think that you're crazy enough already. Stupid, stupid girl." The young girl lazily popped onto the massive log, right next to the beautifully illuminated lake. She couldn't stop staring at the moon, silently wondering how she would feel if the destined mate would sit next to her. Would her love for moon feel otherwise, if she would sit in Wrath's comforting arms?

It's funny how the perspective for life changes within one person, which enters your life without any warning signals. So far- everything she had heard about sins was the worst things imaginable. Never would Ally assume that someone who represented the worst sin would care about her that much. Wrath wasn't near the person everyone else warned her about. Yes, probably, the male had a different face whenever he wasn't around, but Ally cared for the persona which was around her. He was something else- something gentle and caring. The male, who did everything to hold her, care about her, and whisper the sweetest things in her ear, wasn't dangerous. That was the man she started silently fall in love with, despite her lack of knowledge about him.

"Ally, where are you?" The Princess overheard her father's frantic voice in the distance. Eros didn't sound just worried; he was terrified to the core.

"I'm next to the lake, dad." Ally shouted, yet didn't bother to move a muscle. Sitting there calmed her down; finally, she felt like herself, rather than pretending to be the perfect figure in the eyes of society.

"Come here now! You have no idea what's happening out there; we have to leave before anyone gets to you! Run to my voice, Ally!" One thing the Princess knew about her father was that Eros would never speak to her in such a manner. The dark undertone in his voice was more than just demanding or dominant, something he had never shown to his daughter. Even in situations of great danger.

"Dad, come here, I fell and can't move from place anymore. Please carry me home." Ally whined, faking hissing sounds and pain. The young woman knew that something was off, and lying was the only way to make sure if her gut was right.

For a while, there wasn't any sound anymore. Instead of noticing her caring father near, she overheard a feral scream, and the voice, which represented her father earlier, sounded from another spot. It wasn't the King, Ally was sure. Even being as fast as he was- her father wouldn't circle her like a pray. He would jump out of the trees and run to her, eager to find out what was wrong with his daughter.

"You fucking brat, come here! You're in danger, don't you listen to whatever your daddy says? Stop being so difficult; I can see that you're perfectly fine. No more faking, come here, child." The voice changed its tone from angered to calm and irritated.

"Ha, as if. You're not my father. Fuck away!" Ally screamed back.

She wasn't sure where from the sudden outburst of anger appeared, but she was convinced that someone was trying to get her into the darkness. Someone dangerous, probably planning to hurt, if not kill, her. The young woman observed her surroundings, noticing how a few trees fell where the voice sounded at first. What on Earth was happening to her life?

"Clever girl. I'm sure you figured out who am I, come here- take a wild guess and make sure if you're right." The voice was inviting, teasing Ally. She did consider following it, but her common sense and the beast inside her kept yelling no.

So instead of following it, Ally made herself more comfortable and kept staring at the moon. It didn't matter what was happening anymore or who was creeping on her from the darkness of the forest. It was Ally and the moon. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes, imagining Wrath right beside her, enjoying the moment together. It's funny how fast she fell for him, even when someone was obviously trying to hurt her, she still sat and thought about him.

"You're going to be the death of me." Ally whispered under her breath, letting her shoulders fall in defeat. She wasn't referring to whatever hiding in the dark; her main goal was to refer her mate.

"You better be damn sure I will just come here, child." The sickening voice spat at her, soon after trying to correct the words. "I mean, I won't hurt you, come, don't be shy." It laughed.

"I sure will, as soon as my dad- you know, the King, will come here. I have about ten minutes till he's out there, looking for me. Have fun. I'm sure you'll enjoy meeting him in person. Just a fair warning, before you do anything- he doesn't take outsiders very well." Ally smiled to herself, thinking about all those times her father had turned into a machine of destruction whenever someone was around her.

"Stop hiding behind everyone's back, come here and prove that your strength is half as big as your mouth. Spoiled little brat." The insult made Ally roll her eyes. Oh, if only the thing would know how many times the Princess had heard it. She didn't feel affected by the words, not anymore.

Most of the people in her school thought she was spoiled just because her father was a King. Everyone, a matter of fact, felt that she was like that. Only a few knew how hard Ally had to work to prove herself and that she was worthy of her title. Not every Princess had the luxury of life in ease, not every Royal wanted to lice such way. Words coming from strangers didn't affect her anymore.

"Not only spoiled but ignorant, at that. A perfect match for our beloved Wrath, oh, such a perfect couple. I wonder how you'd feel if anything happened to your beloved mate. Wouldn't that be fun?" Ally could notice how shaken the creature had become since she mentioned her father. It did everything to get her into the shadows, obviously unable to show itself in the moonlight.

"You've forgotten something. It's fun to talk about my family, habits, and mate, but aren't you trying to avoid a pretty important fact? I, the same as my father, am a full blood Lycanthrope. I've spent most of my life training to kill weak, whiny bitches like you. If you're willing to hurt me that much, stop trying to get me into your territory- grow a pair, grab it, and come here yourself. Attack me, will see who falls first." The young woman had enough of the unknown creature's mockery. Only the weak attacked with words, targeting families and mates. It couldn't attack her, and if she went there- he most likely had backup forces, knowing that Ally would win in a head to head battle. She pulled her hands in fists, fighting the urge to attack first. The last couple of days have been hellish, she needed a punching bag, and this creature was a temptation at its finest.

"As Lycanthrope, you can fight in the darkness, can't you? A little unfair, I'm the one which's limited here, not you. Or are you afraid? Afraid that your father or mate won't stand by your side anymore? The King is rather busy, tracking some of ours by the border, don't think that we're stupid. He got his mind on something more important than his bratty daughter. Your mate, on the other hand, left. He doesn't need you, and you know that. No mate would leave half of their soul in the middle of the forest, knowing that the gatekeeper is dead. Oh, such a shame to see the young Princess falling before she reached her prime." The laughed filled Ally's ears.

She bit her lip and looked around once again, noticing multiple pairs of glowing eyes surrounding her. Of course, just as she suspected- the backup forces are there. Funny how those creatures thought about attacking as an army, only to kill one girl.
She took a deep breath, stood up, and kicked the heels off her feet. Ally hummed a melody to herself and gathered her hair in a messy bun. The next step was tearing her dress- as much as she loved it, she had to do that. Silently, the Princess begged forgiveness to Wrath, for destroying the first thing he had given her. Ally dropped pieces of fabric on the forest soil and stared up at the moon. She had about a minute till the clouds would blind the moon, letting creatures attack. She howled, from the top of her lungs, announcing the beginning of a new battle, if not war. It was a common thing for Lycanthropes to do, a part of their instincts- howling mid-shift, warning everyone around that the beast was coming out. No one ever saw her doing it; this was the third time Ally allowed Seraphima to come to the surface and take a full dominance over their body.

"Fuck yeah, it's good to be back. Come out, come out, wherever you are. Let's see who's the bitch now." Seraphima had the tone of voice, which reminded a demon, scaring almost everyone who overheard her. The blood-red eyes weren't flattering the rough shape of her face. Cracking of bones could be overheard within males; the shift of the Lycanthrope was once in a lifetime experience since whoever saw them shift never got out alive.

"Lights, they blind me, you say. Not anymore." Seraphima pointed at the moon, slowly getting hidden behind the clouds.

When the forest wasn't illuminated by the moonlight, creatures, one after another, crept near her. They had seen a lot in the time they spent under the ground, but nothing prepared them for a view in front of them. Princess Ally didn't lie when she spoke about being the full-blood Lycanthrope. Instead of the fragile-looking woman stood a massive beast. The dress Princess was wearing before was ripped; she seemed short before, but now stood at least six feet six tall. Her body was nearly covered in fur, but most of her skin was covered in a darker one, reminding an ancient-looking skin. She didn't have canines just like any other shifter had- hers were canines and canines only in perfect rows. Her jaw screamed danger, implying how much power the Princesses' beast actually held.

"Who's first?" The beast growled, inviting whomever beave enough to attack.

For some reason, most of the creatures started screaming, but the agonizing screams ended relatively soon since the beast in front of them didn't move a muscle. It was their weapon, the only thing which might take the focus away from her and make the beast an easy target.

"Miserable fucks." Seraphima roared, grabbing the closest one in her claws and ripping it in half, dropping the twitching body to her feet. She smashed her heel straight against its skull without any second thought, splashing the scene in blood. "No wonder they're so dumb, look at the size of that walnut brain. Such a pity." She muttered under her breath, having an out-loud conversation with Ally, ignoring the screaming creatures around her. Most dropped on all four, keeping themselves in a safe distance. "Alright, who's next?" Seraphima tried to smile, yet the smirk on her face looked like a warning that all of them are about to meet the same fate.

"Would you take down all of us, oh mighty Princess? Don't think that we came without a backup." The same creature, which imitated her father's voice before, spoke. This time, its voice sounded like Ally's mother, turning the tables and making it all personal. Ally and Seraphima could feel their veins filling with adrenaline, anger overtaking their minds.

Seraphima ran at the crowd, tearing the creatures in half, one by one. The ones who didn't die on the spot were lethally injured, most likely living for their last minutes in torturing pain.

"I'll rip your whole world apart!" Seraphima growled in hatred, running straight to her target- the one who dared to steal voices of her loved ones.

"But child, I don't think you'd ever do it on your own. There's many more of ours, and the only one you." It laughed, staring straight into Seraphima's eyes as it kept imitating Eve's voice.

"Think again." An unfamiliar voice sounded from afar, startling the creature just second before Seraphima reached it, separating the head from its body with one blow of her claws.
