67. The end.

Ally and Darius spent nearly every minute of their day together. The deadly sin didn't let her leave the temple until he was sure that the Princess would be safe. He kept preparing his Kingdom for the arrival of his mate, and everyone in the shadows seemed to become happier. They had their rightful leader, a Queen, and soon enough, they would welcome a special baby. The news spread faster than expected, yet no one dared to as much as huff under their breaths- Darius was dead set on everyone's heels. Eros and Eve prepared the castle- waiting for their son and making sure that there was a nursery for their first grandchild near.

Little Bea spent days side by side with Sloth; the deadly sin wouldn't leave her even when the girl fell asleep. River had an opportunity to see how his mate was growing up, and her parents seemed to grow rather fond of him. That is, for as long as he kept calm and collected. On certain occasions, the male could easily lash out at anyone who seemed to attempt to harm his precious mate in one way or another. Even if someone served her a plate of food that he assumed to be too hot. If there was a need for someone to see how obsessed looks like- all they would have to do was to observe Sloth next to Bea. Eve tried to control the deadly sin as much as she could- the male kept spoiling her daughter more than the Royals did. There wasn't a day when River wouldn't manage to sneak out and return with his hands full of gifts.

"River, I told you multiple times, and I will gladly keep repeating myself for as long as it's needed- you're doing too much. It doesn't seem bad while she's just a child, but as Bea grows, so will her needs. You will spoil her rotten, and soon enough, she will refuse to accept no for an answer. Think of what your future might hold. I know how hard it is to say no to those eyes, but please be reasonable. This is way too much." Eve faced the deadly sin, crossing her arms in front of her chest. The Queen kept shaking her head in disappointment, eyeing yet another pile of wrapped up gifts River tried to sneak in behind her back.

"I can't help myself, Bea keeps watching those stupid shows, and whenever the commercial comes up, she would point her little finger at TV and whine about how she wishes to have that one thing. I never meant to go overboard, it just happens, and I love seeing her happy. I'm sure everyone has noticed the way her eyes sparkle whenever she receives a gift. I just want to make her happy." River sighed, admitting defeat. The male never cared about anything or anyone; for the first time when he decided to care about his friend's well-being- he found his mate. Of course, the deadly sin wouldn't be able to step away from someone so important or hold himself back from putting the whole world under her feet. River was ready to set the world on fire if that put a smile on his mate's face.

Of course, the little Princess had no idea that she spent her days' side by side with the man, who was her mate. No one dared to speak about that, nor was it time for Bea to learn about mates yet. The little girl was convinced that the male was her long lost uncle, and now he wouldn't leave their family. As time went by, everyone grew close to the deadly sin, ignoring his worst moments or anger outbursts. Eros had more time to work since Eve spent most of her time trying to stop River from an insane shopping addiction. Both Royals knew that Bea wouldn't be able to sleep in her room if the male wouldn't stop filling it with toys.

"I know," the Queen sighed, dropping her hands to her sides. "I know how it feels, and I do understand why you keep doing it. All I'm trying to say is that everything has limits; no one wants spoiled children- when you make that mistake, it's hard to get away from it. If there is one thing you can't escape, it's the consequences of your actions. Don't let Bea think that she can get whatever she wants without putting actual work or effort into something. Life isn't easy, yet you keep making her feel as it is. Soon enough, she will have to fight for what she wants, and whenever Bea faces a situation as such, she will break down because she's so used to getting everything she wishes for. Now, please get rid of those things and tell her to wear the dress I left in her bedroom- your friend and my daughter will join us for dinner. I've sent ages to get ready for this evening, and I want to avoid any possible problems as it goes by." Eve approached the male, placed her hand on his shoulder, and smiled.

The deadly sin knew that the Queen wanted what was best for her daughter, and when she explained why his doings were wrong- River started rethinking his actions. She had a point, though. The male instantly thought of the time when Bea would reach her teens- she would want cars, expensive clothes, and jewelry. It was not that money was a problem, but the girl wouldn't know its value if he kept going down the same route he was heading to right now.

River nodded his head in understanding and thanked Eve for opening his eyes. The deadly sin stopped the first servant on his way and handed the pile of gifts to her. "If you have a child- give him or her these. If not, please share with those who do have children." The deadly sin smiled at the woman, shocking her even more than with handing her the gifts and left.

He slid hands into the pockets of his jeans and slowly made his way towards Bea's room. For a couple of minutes, the male stood by her door, as usual- listening to her singing. Bea was one of a kind- the little girl was sure that there wasn't anything bad happening in the world, nor did any bad person would ever exist in her mind. Little did she know that after a few years, she would find out how wrong she had been all this time. Not only after having to face certain things, but also finding out about who her mate was. River sighed and knocked on her door, waiting for her to invite him inside. He valued her privacy, despite her young age, and wouldn't invite himself in. Bea happily opened the door herself and instantly jumped to hug the large male. She grabbed his hand and pulled him inside her room, showing off how her plush toys finally fit across the tiny table.

"Your mom left a dress somewhere in the room; she asked me to remind you that that's what you're wearing for dinner, Princess. Your sister will visit us within a couple of hours, and so will her friend." River avoided word mate or boyfriend as a plague. The deadly sin didn't want to talk about such topics to a small child. It was bad enough that, at times, he felt like the most disgusting creature on the face of the Earth. He found his mate- a very young mate, and now, he was unable to leave her side. Of course, he acted like her friend, not a man that might become her lover.

"I don't like that dress; it's too pink. But I will wear it if you think that I look pretty in it," Bea giggled, running into her closet and grabbing the hanger with the dress. She kept grinning whenever Sloth was around. "Want to see?" The little girl offered, eager to show off how nice the dress actually was. Bea did love it, but she wouldn't wear anything that her 'uncle' wouldn't approve of or call pretty.

River sat on the edge of her bed, as always- fearing that it wouldn't hold his weight and smiled. There truly wasn't a better feeling than seeing Bea so happy. "Sure, Princess, get ready, and let's go downstairs."

Bea nearly jumped in the air and ran to the bathroom as soon as the words left his lips. It didn't take her much time to change into the new dress and bolt out of the bathroom. She stood in front of the male and turned around, giggling as if someone kept tickling her. "Am I pretty?"

"You are the prettiest girl alive. I think you just stole my heart," River placed a hand over his heart, faking a shocked gasp.

The little Princess laughed and clapped her hands- whenever he did such things, it excited Bea. She wanted for the male to stay around forever, despite the odd feeling that he might leave anytime soon. The little girl never voiced her opinion about the feeling; she rather enjoyed whatever time she could spend with him. Bea grabbed his hand and attempted to pull the male off of her bed. As always, River would make her feel as if she was stronger, silently following the girl.

Eve noticed the pair heading downstairs and smiled, observing the wide smiles on their lips. Even though her daughter was so young, the Queen knew that River wouldn't hurt her. He wouldn't try to pull any tricks on her and would keep around until she was of age. Only after her eighteenth birthday would he speak up, yet the choice would still be left in her hands. They sat on the sofa, and Sloth turned on the TV, watching Frozen once again. Bea was obsessed with the move, and Sloth would sleep through it most of the time- it wasn't a productive day if she hadn't seen it at least twice. Bea leaned against the male, making herself comfortable. Soon enough, the little girl fell asleep next to the deadly sin, a phenomenon nobody would believe in unless they would see it with their own eyes. Eve warned all servants to avoid the living room, and if they had to be there- they had to act as quiet as possible. Nobody approached the room- the slightest sound would wake up Sloth, and he would become an instant killing machine. The male nearly killed a maid who walked past them when both fell asleep- a mere sound, and the deadly sin instantly feared the safety of his mate.

After a couple of hours, the King finally left his office and went to look for his mate. It was nearly time for dinner, so Ally was about to arrive soon. Everyone grew anxious to see if she changed and how far she had gone with the pregnancy. Nobody really knew how fast her baby would grow since there was no way she could be compared to her mother.
As Eros walked down the stairs, Sloth and Bea finally started waking up, and Eve fell as she rushed to them. By now, her belly was perfectly visible; the Queen began to remind a cute penguin as she walked around- Eros adored the way she moved whenever she carried a child.

"Listen up, everyone! They're nearly here; make sure everyone is presentable and ready to greet them. Let's go, stop wasting time, Ally's home!" The Queen smiled like a madwoman, making everyone head outside and wait by the main entrance.

Bea lazily looked up at Sloth and asked the male to carry her around since the little girl seemed too tired. River gladly complied with her request, making her parents send him warm smiles. Eros and Eve accepted him, especially after seeing how much love he kept showing her. The King wrapped an arm around Eve's waist, and the family headed outside, impatient to meet the missing pieces.

A black SUV parked right next to the family. First to leave the car was Darius- the male scanned their surroundings and approached the back door of the vehicle. As soon as he felt that it was safe, he opened the door and helped his mate out. Ally teared up, seeing her family for the first time in such a long time. The Princess got to meet her mate's best friend and the man who was mated to her little sister.
As the evening went by, everyone had way too much fun together. Bea and Sloth left first- the little girl could barely sit straight, fighting the exhaustion. River brought his little mate back to her room, made sure that she changed into pajamas, brushed her teeth, and left as soon as she fell asleep. Darius and Eros left their mates to talk about business- they decided to unite his Kingdom with the Underworld after all.
Eve and Ally still sat by the dinner table, talking about the pregnancies. At first, it was quite weird for both to face the fact that mother and daughter would be expecting children simultaneously, but soon everyone grew fond of the idea. They could support each other through the challenging yet magical process of creating a life.

"Have you found out the gender yet?" Eve whispered to Ally, her eyes sparkling in joy.

The Princess quickly glanced around them, leaned in, and nodded her head as soon as she was sure that there wasn't anyone around them. The gender was her little secret; she still had to decide when to make the announcement.

"Did you tell Darius yet? I'm sure he's excited, the same as we are," the Queen whispered again. Both women refused to discuss pregnancy as they had dinner- they wanted to have more privacy for such conversations.

"No, and I'm not sure how or when I will tell him. He's pretty clueless about gender and everything. And paranoid, God, don't forget paranoid- I can't leave even for a walk if he or his guard dogs aren't around me." Ally sighed. The young Princess didn't want to fight with her mate, but the sudden loss of her freedom did affect her greatly.

"Can I know, please? I promise to keep a secret, not a single soul; even your father will find that out from me." Sometimes Eve still acted like a teenager, and it was easily noticeable. The Queen finally shared the incredible journey with someone and having the opportunity to share it with her daughter seemed like a gift from the Moon Goddess herself.

The Princess quickly glanced around once again, leaned in a little more, and grinned: "It's a boy."
