45. Your dick is broken!

**Luna**

"How did it go?" He seemed to be exhausted, lazily striding into the room. Not even once glancing her way- heading straight to the closet.

"Awful," she replied, half-hidden under the bedsheets. The past few days had taken a lot from them both- more mentally than physically. He regularly left their home, dealing with important matters, making her spend the sleepless nights alone- waiting for his return. She almost locked herself inside, distancing herself from everyone and the responsibilities that she used to have.

"Understandable. They keep pushing my buttons, demanding for trial," he sighed, rather displeased by the things council members were implying should happen.

"As far as I'm concerned, they have to investigate before any trial happens. I'm safe, for now," she added, remorse or worry absent from her voice. She wasn't worried about anything that might happen in the future.

"They are filling in the paperwork, unfortunately for us, it'll be sent straight to our newfound friend Lord Balthazar," the Alpha stood in the closet, his back to Luna. For a moment there, he forgot how to breathe, dreading her thoughts, coming up with yet another plan. Luna sat in the bed, staring into space.

"I don't see any harm in that. I have only one witness, and that one would never snitch on me. She wants Eros way too bad to risk losing my support," a bright smile grew on her lips. Even though it was only written in the stars- she felt like a winner. Nothing could stop her now. The Alpha kept quiet; he'd been acting weird for days; at this point, Luna didn't find it strange anymore. She bit her lower lip; wondering if the current situation needed any action from her side. Luna kicked the sheets off her body, stood up from the bed, and ran into the closet. She kissed her mate's cheek, grabbed a coat, and turned away from him, almost succeeding in leaving their bedroom before he questioned her.

"Where the fuck do you think you're going?" he growled, angered by her spontaneous nature, dragging her deeper into trouble.

"Out," Luna pouted, turning around, looking as innocent as a child. They both stood still, staring at each other. Both held an equal role as the leaders; neither could avert their gaze- it would mean that the loser must submit.

"Out where?" He breathed out, trying his best to keep himself and his beast under control. Luna should know there's nothing worse than a pissed off Alpha. And at this point, Xavier had been under so much stress; even the slightest issue would make him lose his temper. He had raised his hand at her once. Luna didn't want to go through that experience again. It was hidden deep down in her worst nightmares.

"Out to meet the human girl and see how it went."

"How what? Woman, what are you hiding from me?" Xavier clenched his fists, speaking through gritted teeth, barely controlling himself.

"The human met his mate, okay? She's trying to build the bridges," Luna shrugged.

"You are not going anywhere," Xavier used his Alpha tone for her to finally understand that he meant the words he said. He was done with her games, with the drama- she loved to build up, and with her dirty deeds. It didn't matter that Lord was here. And for now, even the council didn't matter. He wanted to hear the truth, coming from his mate's lips. Xavier couldn't find the strength to deal with her nature anymore; he wanted to trust her for once. After all, how could he protect her if he didn't believe in her words anymore?

"Why? I'm not your prisoner, Xavier! I'm not one of those cheap sluts you cheat on me with! I'm not the confused girl you met years ago! I'm not that, and I'm not everything you think I am. I am strong. I am your Luna, and I will decide what to do or not. I don't care; I don't need your approval or support! We got into this shit together, yet I am the only one who's left at risk. I'm the only one who will have to deal with the consequences if they come. I will go out, make sure that my alibi is bulletproof, like it or not! You'll have to chain me in silver if you want to keep me locked inside a cage!" Tears streamed down her cheeks. For all those years, seemingly evil Luna had been a prisoner of her mate. Xavier gave her everything- title, rank, power, life in luxury, and for some time; his love and affection. It all changed pretty fast, though- he met more beautiful, younger females ready to kill just to end up by his side. Luna started aging; they found out that Xavier cannot have children, and even though the doctors kept proving that the issue was with Alpha, he kept blaming his mate. For decades, Xavier blamed his once-perfect mate for not having an heir. He did have Eros- the boy, Alpha hated. Xavier would rather let the pack rot or starve than let his Luna’s bastard son take his place.

"Sit your ass down and explain! The fuck you mean with building the bridges? Have you lost your fucking clock?" Xavier grabbed her by the elbow and threw her onto the bed. He didn't feel bad for being aggressive. Lately, it had been the only way to tame his mate.

"The red-haired human arranged a meeting with Eve. Claudia called me and told me that they're meeting each other not far from his bar. She hasn't replied to my texts or answered my calls ever since, so I want to know what happened. Building bridges is just an expression we use. It means that one of us will gain Eve's trust and lead her like a marionette. Hopefully, Claudia will be able to deal with her task; if not, I'll have to do that. Maybe you're not as concerned as I am. I will not die over some crappy piece of human. I will not let my son fuck that weak flesh bag and watch their half breed bastards running around my land. The idea is ridiculous," she snarled each word, became louder. The Alpha chuckled. Xavier grinned widely, the amusement in him grew more prominent as she spoke.

"So, you are the one to talk about half breeds when you also gave birth to one? I find it funny, how angry you get over a human, when years ago you were sitting on one's dick," Alpha was genuinely jealous of his mate's late husband. That's right- husband. They got married, followed all human traditions, and even welcomed a child. He and she were nothing alike. Xavier's mind didn't sit right with the idea of her giving herself to a human. She was not pure when they met. Back then, he was way too naive to admit that it would drive them apart in the future.

"You're going overboard! This bullshit again, Xavier? You're a grown man, acting like a jealous teenager over someone who died more than three decades ago! Let him rest in peace, you sick fuck!" Luna would never admit how much she missed the human who she chose as her mate. Daniel was the most loving man she had ever met. Despite being a human, he was strong. Back then, standing as a frontline pack warrior. He was an ambitious dreamer, a fantastic lover, and a wonderful father. She didn't get to spend much time with him, yet Luna would give up everything just to have him by her side for one day.

"I'm not starting anything, just stating the facts. You keep ranting over your son, fucking a human, when you were the first to do so. No need to get butt hurt over the truth."

"Too bad that your ‘stating the facts’ usually ends in some sick wave of jealousy," Luna added, rolling her eyes. Xavier has so many flaws, he wronged and hurt his mate so often, yet kept acting like a saint.

"I'm not jealous. Can you, for once, shut the fuck up and stop bringing up that dead fuck? You're starting to piss me off," he clenched his fists.

"See, there you go again! I didn't even bring Daniel up, you did! I've asked you so many times to forget it, leave him in peace, and live your life for today, rather than keep digging up my past! You aren't perfect, nobody is, and will never be. Xavier, you've argued about my past so often that I've lost count, yet when I bring up the present- you lose your shit and destroy everything in your way.”

“How would you feel if I kept blaming you for everything that goes wrong? How would you feel if I kept pointing out that your shirt has another lipstick stain on it? How would you feel if you'd risked your well-being for me, and all I'd done was nag about everything you do wrong? Instead of being the same as you are- I sit in my place, keep my head held high, and ignore all those dirty stares being thrown at me from your little whores. You've fucked half of the pack's females- doesn't matter whether mated or not, they've all been in your bed.”
Luna was pacing, getting more worked up.
“All I did was choose a mate and buried him just a little over a year later. I've done nothing wrong. I followed the law, by the way written by you. I stood in the line last, as a second chance, garbage mate, and you chose me. What have I gotten out of all this? Betrayal? Pain? Suffering? Of course, being Luna isn't bad, yet I face more responsibilities than you do! Who keeps covering your ass when the meeting has started and their Alpha is in his office fucking Chloe, Monica, or Allison? Who makes the decisions while you're too intoxicated to do your fucking job? Who has to listen to all this bullshit when your fucking dick is the reason why we don't have children? That's right, I said it- you have a broken dick!" She almost laughed in his face, yelling out all her pain and hurt kept hidden in her for years. Luna wanted to leave their bedroom, their house, and probably his life, at this point. Xavier didn't say a word; he breathed heavily; his eyes kept changing colors as he approached the woman he chose as his Luna. His eyes travelled over her body greedily, teeth clenched. The Alpha took off his shirt and threw it on the floor. She needed a moment to set her mind straight, reminding herself of the pain and avoiding drooling over his body. She shook her head just when his palm collided with her cheek, leaving a red mark. He hovered over her body, grabbing her wrists, and pinning them above her head. She tried to break out of his hold, each attempt unsuccessful, only weakening herself.

"Let me show you how broken this dick is," he growled in her ear, grabbing both of her wrists in one hand, to slide the other onto her throat, squeezing it tightly. That night, Luna didn't leave her house. Instead, she was trapped in his bed, used as his sex toy repeatedly. The more she tried to fight the rougher he became, the more she cried the more bruises were left on her body.
