39. I need to kill a bitch.

It didn't take Ally long time to understand what was the thing, or more precisely - a person the stranger was coming for. The shadows and dark, dominant aura meant only one thing.
The Prince of Underworld, the man Ally was promised to, had arrived for his claim. As much as she didn't want to admit it, the only thing young woman could think of was Wrath. His possessive, territorial nature wouldn't do good in this situation.

Quietly, Ally held her breath, closed the door, and tiptoed away. The young woman rushed back to her bedroom, ignoring the fact that her parents, and perhaps the stranger, had already noticed her presence. She grabbed the first bag, packed a few sets of necessary clothing and dressed up. Time by time, Ally sneaked out in the halls to makes sure the coast was clear.

*"Baka, I need you,"* Ally whispered out loud. She repeated the sentence three times, summoning her protector.

The Watcher flew through to opened window and eyed the Princess cautiously. Baka inhaled deeply, her eyes widening.

"Grab the bag and take my hand." The woman encouraged Ally to follow her lead.

The Princess didn't hesitate; she nodded her head and complied with demands. Baka was fast, much faster than any other woman Ally knew. But it wasn't a surprise; she was an Amazon warrior, after all. With ease, Baka threw Ally over her shoulder and jumped out of the window. No scent or sound would surround them; the Watcher made sure to block anything that might give our their escape. Ally squeezed her eyes shut and opened them only after a couple of seconds when her feet finally touched the cold forest soil.

They stood at least sixty miles away from the castle; a very concerned Watcher couldn't take her eyes off of the young Princess.

"What was a creature doing there? I could smell it from miles, but I thought it was that asshole Wrath." Baka snarled, circling Ally.

Usually, she was calm and collected, but at times, when there was any kind of possible dangerous situation connected to Ally- she often became mental. The woman had no intention of coming off as rude or heartless, yet sometimes she couldn't hold her emotions. Centuries of training thrown in the trash whenever it came to Ally. The one person Baka truly cared for. Since the first time, when Eve let Baka hold Ally- she felt as if the young Princess was a child of her own.

"I don't know, okay! I assume it was the damn Prince or whatever creature my father promised me to. I was about to head to bed when I overheard shouting, but first I ignored it. Then, the sound of shattering glass filled the castle, and I went downstairs to explore what was happening. Everything was silent until I checked the throne room. Mother and father, their wolves, to be exact, sat on their thrones. A stranger, surrounded by shadows, stood in front of them and demanded what was rightfully his. I assume it's the Prince; therefore, I packed up my bad and called out for you. I can't stay around there, not until everyone calms down. Listen, just a year ago I was careless teen, and now my life turned upside down. First, my father promised me to some stranger. Then, I meet someone I feel connected to, but the bond fades as soon as he leaves for months. Not that it's bad enough already, I was stupid enough to tie myself to a damn deadly sin.
And to make matters worse- I feel something for him, and so does Seraphima. How can I stay there when Wrath is so possessive over me? I don't want him to get hurt because of me, because Lord knows if he's strong enough to face the Prince himself." Ally spoke way too fast to form proper sentences. Maybe her words seemed understandable and rushed, her thoughts were messed up.

"Alright." Baka sighed, sliding her hand into Allies and squeezing it. She took the young woman's bag and led her through the dark forest.
"We know what happened back at the lake, but none of us was allowed to approach or protect you. I'm sorry. Now, I think I know where I should take you. Our territory is safe, but the Prince is another kind of bastard, you don't want to know what he's capable of. I'll take you somewhere safe, a temple he can not enter. Your beloved Wrath, on the other hand, can very much visit you any time." As she spoke, her voice sounded rather careless and cold. Ally had way too many questions to ask, but she couldn't put her mind onto which one might be more important than others. After a while, she finally gathered enough courage to question her protector.

"How do you know? I mean, so much about that Prince?" Ally tried to look at everything, but Baka. Meeting the Watchers eyes wouldn't be a good idea, since the woman could read Ally like an open book.

"I must know more than others do. I am your protector; even if you weren't promised to that little piece of spoiled shit, I would know everything anyway. It's for your safety, for the protection of your family and Kingdom. And I might know his mother in person." Baka chuckled, lightly bumping into Allie's shoulder.

"I met Lilith a short time before my kind was put to sleep. She used to be a very close friend of mine. Around then, she just met her mate, which seemed to be completely outrageous. You see, Lillith is sort of a fae, a delightful and kind creature of nature. Her beloved one, on the other hand, is a complete opposite. Fenrir is one of the oldest Underworld creatures ever know. He is a complicated man, half-shifter, half-demon. Some call him the first werewolf, some would refer him as the Devil. But despite everything, we tried to support Lilith and her choice to follow that man. I missed a lot of her life as we slept, meeting her once again about a couple of months ago. She had been through a lot, especially with her beloved and son. Lilith had to hide her pregnancy, the child would be a half-breed, and her coven would try to kill him before its born. So she did, standing by Fenrirs side for as long as she could. Time went by fast, the Prince was born, and his mother had to return to the place where she belonged. She gave birth to a beautiful baby boy and named him Gabriel, trying to make up for the great sin. Little did they know that higher power had a punishment of their own in mind. Their son turned out to be a fallen angel, a very dangerous one, at that. My friend knew that leaving the kid with Fenrir was a bad idea, but she rather watched her son becoming a monster than seeing him getting killed right in don't of her eyes. Life down there is horrifying, and the reason why she denied engagement was an attempt to save you, Ally. My friend knows that no woman should suffer the same fate she did. Yes, she does love Fenrir from the bottom of her heart, but that is the type of love which comes at a price. Lilith sacrificed a lot of her own to give you a chance." Baka sighed, unaware of the sadness undertone dripping her voice.

Ally opened and closed her mouth like a fish; she couldn't come up with anything to say. With each day, the young woman got to find out more and more information about others and the world she used to be completely unaware of. Silently, she thought of good old days, the time when Ally didn't need to worry about men, mates, or global problems such as these.

"I'd like to thank her one day. You know, for giving me a chance and trying to save me." Ally whispered loud enough for Baka to hear her. The Watcher didn't react; she kept storming closed to the destination.

Baka, same as Ally, had a lot of things to think about. While the young Princess would overthink her decisions and wonder what the future brings, Baka had to come up with a plan of protection. She couldn't let anything to happen to Ally, no matter what obstacles they might face. She loved Lilith as a friend, but the warrior woman was ready to kill her son if it meant saving the Princess.

"You should call out for Wrath. Don't get me wrong; I hate him with all my might, but I know that he's watching every little step of yours. He is your mate, and he will be able to protect you if we fail. Right now, we're starting a war, Ally. A war that might bring more death and destruction than we can handle. Lilith will stand by our side; I'm sure she will be able to talk Fenrir into joining us as well. The only problem is Gabriel, the little entitled asshole who thinks that he owns you. He doesn't, not slightest." The woman didn't want to admit her defeat, but desperate times came with desperate actions. If she had to count on a deadly sin for the safety of Ally, she would go for it, as long as she avoids any possibility of facing Gabriel.

"You said you're taking me somewhere, where Wrath could come and the Prince couldn't. How about if I follow the advice and try to call out for him there, just like you mentioned? I could try and talk, explain what happened or what might come. I'm sure he would understand and help us come up with a plan." Ally shivered, the thought of her mate alone made a wave of shivers run down her spine.

"You do like him; it's easily noticeable. Tell me, what did he do to win you over? Did he force you? I wouldn't be surprised, he's the Wrath, after all." Baka's eyes scanned their surroundings; the woman stopped abruptly, sniffing the air. "We're close." She added, tucking on Allie's hand.

They approached a large, ancient-looking building within the next few minutes. Ally gasped, seeing how massive and impressive the building still seemed. She had never seen anything so beautiful in her lifetime.

"Take your bag and go inside. The Temple is empty, not a soul around here. Go to the stairs, get to the second floor and choose a bedroom. The building might seem old, but I can assure you that it looks completely different from the inside. There should be at least ten servants; they will  take care of you." Baka instructed Ally, encouraging the young woman to move faster.

"Wait, aren't you coming with me? Why? And why would there be servants in an abandoned building? This is way too suspicious, don't you think?" Ally switched her weight from one leg to another, nervously taking in the impressive view once again. She bit onto her lower lip, wondering if their journey was worth it.

"I can't come, even though I'm a protector, I've done way too many things to wrong Selene. I'd burn alive as soon as I step inside that building. There are servants there because it's their job and calling. They're taking care of Selene's households, taking in everyone who needs safety for the time being. They will be stoked to meet the Princess and serve her, trust me. Now, go, before I change my mind and bring you back to your father. I'm in a huge mess right now already; I don't need more." Baka faded into thin air, leaving confused Ally alone. The young woman didn't move a muscle for a while until she finally gathered enough courage to get inside the house.

Just as promised, a few of servants greeted the Princess. A petite girl, around fifteen, showed Ally around and led the young woman to her bedroom. Ally dropped the bag on the floor and jumped onto the bed, landing onto it face first. She wanted to find out more; she had to know everything that was about to happen to her life.
The young woman almost fell asleep when a large hand gripped her waist, startling the Princess.

"You needed me, I know it. Your soul was calling out for me. Did anything happen, my love? Why are you in Selene's temple, you're supposed to be home, asleep in your little, comfortable bed." The rough voice echoed against the walls of the bedroom. Ally couldn't bother to face him, instead, she sighed in delight, enjoying the little affection male was giving her. Sometimes a simple touch was more than enough for Ally's mind to rush.

"I had to come here; one of the Watchers brought me to this temple to keep me safe." All replied, yawning along the way.

She felt how the bed dipped in; the most gentle lips traced kisses along her neck. She couldn't fight the sensations he could stir up in her with a mere touch.

"Safe? Care to explain?" Wrath spoke against her skin, his breath tickling the young woman. Ally giggled in response and made herself more comfortable, giving enough space for Wrath to sleep next to her.

"Yeah, that stupid Prince is trying to get me, so I ran away." The soft lips left her skin, making her feel lonely and empty.

Wrath got out of the bed and approached the window. He started outside of it, looking as he was trying to set a world on fire.

"I have to go." He suddenly announced, leaving Ally shocked and even more confused than she already was.

"What? Why? Where?"

"I need to kill a bitch. He might be the ruler's son, but he will never be as powerful as I am. No man alive will take what is mine, especially when I wasted centuries to finally hold you. I'll be back within a few hours, I promise."
