5. Rumoring about my mate.

"Excuse you?" Ally snarled, turning her body towards the maids. She was used to people rumoring about her and her family, but talking about such things was the last straw. The Princess stomped towards the stunned maids, her blood boiling in anger.

Both women dropped on their knees in front of the Princess. Servants and maids rumored about the Royal family on a daily basis, but no one of them got caught red-handed. Up until today.

"Mind repeating what you just told your friend? I don't think that I heard each detail you spoke about so damn convincingly," Ally pulled her hands into fists, trying to stay as calm as she could.

The women exchanged glances, but none spoke. Both knew what the punishment for bad-mouthing the Royals would be. No one, in their right mind, dared to say anything around the powerful family.
Even though everyone knew that all of them were known for being genuinely lovely- everyone had their limits. And both females stepped over Ally's.

"We're sorry, Princess. We didn't think straight; it was a huge mistake to speak about such things, especially around you. We truly apologize for being foolish and stepping over the borders of your privacy," the older woman spoke. Younger looking maid was a girl who attended the same school as Ally- since her mother worked in the castle, Eros paid all tuition fees for children.
The older woman did seem sincere, regretting the things she spoke about, but the younger one rolled her eyes.

"Fuck being polite!" Ally growled, extending her claws and lunging at the girl. If there was one thing the Princess couldn't stand- it was an awful attitude. The Princess couldn't understand how a simple person could think of themselves so highly. She was a simple person, trying to lay low, but being the King's firstborn did give her an extremely dominant beast. Seraphima was not one to take disrespect kindly.

Ally grabbed the girl by the collar, her eyes turning completely black as she caught a glimpse of her mother's necklace on the girl's neck. She grabbed the pendant and ripped the chain in half, throwing the girl's body against the nearest wall. The Princess growled, attracting more to the scene. All workers froze on the spot. On the other side, the girl's mother ran for help, desperately screaming for the King to spare her daughter.

Eros didn't hesitate; everyone knew what Seraphima was capable of- the beast was more aggressive than Ares. If Ally slipped the control, the creature would go on a full rampage for blood.

"Seraphima!" The King stomped towards his daughter, gladly giving Ares the control. Eros was one to deal with Ally while Ares had to deal with the hormonal beast side.

"Fuck off, Ares!" She snarled, greedily breathing in the scent of blood.

"What the fuck is going on here? Your mother needs to rest! You were supposed to take a day off; instead, you decide to beat up the maids!" Ares couldn't find the strength in him to deal with the crazy teen. With each day passing, closing the Queen's due date- he feared the replay of the same scenario as with Ally.

"Bitch stole mother's necklace! She took out the family photo, and you think that I'll leave it as it is?" Seraphima stepped off, letting Ally deal with the argument. One of them was better in the killing, the other spoke.

"Take the thief to the cells," Ares growled, covering his face with a palm. Everyone around the castle grew tired of dealing with the constant betrayals- especially ones from the staff.
This wasn't the first time when someone tried to steal the family's belongings.

"As much as I'd like to think that the theft was the only issue, I know it isn't. Something triggered you to let Seraphima out- what was it?" This time the one to speak was Eros. Ally kept quiet, waiting till her father would take a hint and offer to talk in a more private place.

*"Can we speak in private? I don't want every worker here to know what happened,"* Ally mind-linked her father since he couldn't take the hint. Eros nodded and ordered everyone to return to their responsibilities. He offered his daughter a hand, and she gladly took it, following her father just as she did when she was younger.

Eros led her to the old library- a place that was basically abandoned. The only person who ever went there was Ally- to clean up and read. Servants weren't allowed to get in there.
The King and Queen were always way too busy to check how the place looks after their daughter finished the work on it.
Ally sat on the leather chair and offered her father a seat near. They didn't speak up for a while. The Princess knew that lately, she has been out of control- getting into the second fight in two days.
Eros was too tired to think of her behavior, despite knowing how significant effect it could leave on her reputation.

"Alright, tell me what happened. Ally, baby, I love you, but recently you have been out of control. I have to send you back to school in two days, and I'm not sure how it'll turn out. Did you have to attack her? You could have called for the guards and get her down to cells." Eros sighed, at this point, feeling helpless. Sometimes loving the children isn't enough to make them grow into a decent person. He hoped, from the bottom of his heart, that his daughter wasn't starting to rebel.

"I was out in the garden with Damien. The castle is packed, so I felt a little overwhelmed, and he led me to the swing to relax. When I wanted to go back inside and find you, I overheard them talking. Dad, I wasn't even thinking about attacking that girl, but it went down because of her. I know, I hold blame in the situation the same as she does, but nobody asked her to provoke me," Ally nibbled on her fingernails. Like any other teenage girl- she did fear her father a little. Seraphima understood that she went overboard, especially with the choice of language when her father tried to calm her down.

"Take your time and explain what happened," Eros placed a hand on her shoulder and squeezed it gently, encouraging his daughter to speak. She could do a lot more terrible things, but he would let her explain the motives behind actions. He was her father- Eros knew when Ally lied.

"They were talking about me. You know how I hate it when people do that. On any other occasion, I would try to ignore whatever they said, but those women were rumoring about my mate. I haven't met him, I have no idea who he is, but they spoke as if there was one. They spoke so loudly everyone else could hear them, and I'm sure someone has brought the false information outside the castle.
I decided to approach them- the older lady apologized, but her daughter started showing an attitude by rolling her eyes. She eyes me as if I was nothing but shit, and she was the ruler of this place. That kind of triggered Seraphima, but after I noticed mom's necklace on her neck, I lost it. I'm sorry, dad."

Eros hugged his daughter and promised that everything would be okay. The King will deal with the rumor and thief. Before leaving, he finally announced that her birthday party would happen later that day and that her clothing was prepared. Ally didn't feel like arguing anymore, so the Princess agreed on having a little celebration. The King promised a huge surprise, bringing Ally's mood up to almost cloud nine.

She ran to her room and took a shower. Nobody forced makeup on her, and the clothing of choice was more simple. She wanted to see her mother but decided to stay away for a while. Within a couple of days, Eve would give birth, and if she overheard what happened- Ally would get into huge problems. She was starting to get ready when someone knocked on her bedroom door.

"Come in," Ally called out as she sat on the club chair in the corner of her room. The older maid ran into the room, her eyes frantically scanning the expensive-looking interior.

"Princess, I'm begging you, please save my daughter. She is still young and foolish; she never intended to take what is not hers. This must be a misunderstanding, the Queen probably threw the necklace away, and my daughter took it. She is not a thief," the woman yelled out, sobbing so violently it nearly made her voice sound like one of a barking dog.

"Calm down, woman!" Ally screamed at the maid. She watched how the woman tried to contain herself. At least now she would be able to understand her words.
"Now, let's talk about the issue. Where From did you get the idea that my mother would throw away that piece of jewelry?" the young woman decided to avoid any waste of time. She never wanted to accuse someone falsely, so listening to the girl's mother would be a to-do thing.

"My daughter, she is not a liar, your majesty. She told me that the Queen threw this necklace in the trash bin, and she took it. She's innocent; my daughter would never steal from anyone, let alone the Royal family. Please, I'm begging for your mercy,"

"So, you and your daughter are trying to tell me that my mother would be dumb enough to throw it away? Let me tell you something- that jewelry has been in the Royal family for quite a while. Lord Balthazar spent nearly a decade finding it. It once belonged to my grandmother- Queen Kato, her husband, King Lukas, gave her the necklace when my father was born. After the Lord found it, my father gave it to my mother to carry the family photography in the pendant. Now, when we think from this point of view... How do you think- would my mother throw such a thing away? I have plenty of time to get my parents and lead them to your daughter. If you don't like the idea, I can always call for the Watchers- they are like a walking lie detector." Ally grinned; she knew that she was the one in the right, and the maid's daughter had committed a crime.

The woman in front of her paled, Ally didn't understand was it because of what she said. Or was it her mentioning her parents and the Watchers to blame. The woman was left speechless; she kept staring at the floor in shame.

"I'm sorry, maybe my daughter was feeling jealous of the luxury in the castle. We never had as much as the Royal family, and teens tend to act in the most unpredictable ways."

"I understand a lot of things, especially from the point of view for ones who don't have much, but that is not the excuse to use. Committing a crime always comes with consequences, no matter what has been done. Sure, all girls dream about lavish lifestyles, designer bags, and princes on a white horse, but that's impossible to achieve by stealing. Aren't we giving enough? Your daughter has a credit card, which is filled with my father's money monthly. He covers the school costs for her. We bought her a car. Truthfully, I don't own even one designer bag or piece of clothing while she does. She is supposed to work for what she gets, but you do all the job. Why would you spoil her, if you knew that greed would make her want more? She won't stop. And after that, what would happen? Losing the job under the Royal family, leaving the castle- goodbye private school, cars, and credit cards. She stole the Queen's necklace, what is the next thing she will take?" Ally's voice was calm and monotone. She dropped the anger for the girl and pitied her mother. The woman was a fantastic worker, always being so kind and helpful. Her daughter was a complete opposite.

Ally didn't like the girl, especially after she tried to pretend to be the Princess before Ally joined the same school. The maid's daughter started a year earlier than Ally did- while Princess was homeschooled, the girl tried to steal her identity. She didn't bring up the topic, but after today Ally felt like she should have done that.

"I'm sorry, I need some time to think about her behavior and what should be done next. Thank you for opening my eyes," the woman stood up and left Ally's bedroom. The Princess decided that whatever the punishment would be- they should give rights to choose to the girl's mother.

Shortly after the maid left, Eros knocked on Ally's bedroom door and announced that she should get downstairs in ten minutes. Before the celebration started, he wanted to tell everyone about the great news, which was her big surprise.

Ally became anxious, wondering what her father was up to this time. The time flew by, and the next moment Ally found herself walking down the stairs, heading for the living room, where the party was happening. Everyone approached her to wish her happy birthday; even her mother stood by her father. A lot bigger than yesterday- no wonder Eros was so worried. The baby was so close to being born; the Queen should rest. The Princess ran to her mother and begged her to get back to bed, judging by the dark circles under her eyes; Eve didn't get any sleep. The Queen thanked her daughter, and the guards led her back to the master bedroom. She did promise Ally to have a nice birthday party after the baby would be born.

Eros cleared his throat and spoke to the guests: "Dear guests, I would like to thank everyone for attending my beautiful daughter's birthday party. Don't mind her little grumpy approach- she isn't quite a fan of bigger gatherings. As everyone probably noticed, the Queen has gotten pretty big- our baby is due any day now, so she can't join us, for now. I am beyond proud of the woman my daughter is starting to become. She is a truly gifted child with a heart of gold," as the King spoke, his eyes kept fixated on his daughter. A look of pride flashed in his eyes before he grinned at her.

"To my surprise, I would like to announce that I am uniting the Kingdom with great forces. We will stop the war which happened for centuries and live in peace, side to side with the underground Lords," the crowd cheered, everyone raised their glasses for the success of their King. Everyone aside from Ally, she knew that there must be a catch.

"Don't rush yet; I'm just getting to the most important part. Today we are celebrating my daughter's teen years. Two years from today we will celebrate a wedding. My daughter is officially engaged to a man whose father is a very close friend of mine. Ally Rose Frost is to marry Fenrir's firstborn..." Eros spoke in pride, but the words stopped as the crowd gasped. The Princess fainted as soon as she overheard the engagement announcement. To mate matters worse- she had no idea whom she was about to marry in two years.
