Chapter 42 Suspicions, facts and lies

ULYSSES ALEXANDERS POV
When I open the door, she is on her balcony. She takes a glance at me. She took a seat on the porch.
"Would you like to speak with anyone?"-she asks.
"Yes. You haven't spoken anything to me since this morning."
"I'm just as busy as you are."-she stated.
"Nope. That is not correct."-I said. She sighs and wraps her arms about her knees. I approached her and forced her to face me. I glance at her as she wraps her thighs around my waist.
"Can you tell me what's wrong, Cynthia?"-I ask. She sighed.
"You did not return home last night. What exactly did you do at Estella's house? Sex? How many times? What else? Are you under her spell once more? Can you tell me?"
"See? There's something going on here. Let me have a look at your face."-I said. I like how she's expressing herself. It's adorable. I mean look how jealous she is.
"How come you're gazing at me like that? I'm becoming more conscious now."-she stated. I caress her cheeks and eventually kiss her. She moans and pushes me. I stroke her cheeks. I looked at her and raised her clothes to check for my imprint. I give her a kiss on her upper chest.
"I'm grateful for your presence in my life, Cynthia. Please don't be envious. Nothing happens. There was no kissing, only hugging, and I simply stood there watching her till she fell asleep. I tried scouring her home for clues, but I believe she did everything she could to conceal her true identity. But I've had a feeling that Yael and his pack would uncover something against her."-I said. She looked at me with her hands cupped over my face. I can see her love for me.
"I love you. Always. I hope you don't think I'm being clingy right now. I just wanted to cherish what we had. While I'm still capable of doing so—"
"Sshh. Don't give that to me. I'll make every effort to protect you from now on. That nothing horrible will befall you. "I swear."-I said. I tucked myself against her chest. She rubs my hair and speaks once more.
"I promise to do my best.? Please take care of me from now on."-she said. I flashed a smile. I wore the ring on index finger this is own by my father and the other one is what he had given to mother as their wedding ring. I took her left hand in mine and placed the ring in her index finger. She takes a glance at me. It is decorated with a yellow diamond. Father commissioned a witch to create this particular diamond for his Luna. That woman is my mother. She flashed a smile. We take a glance at our hands, which are wearing our wedding rings. She quietly smiled and looked at me. We intertwined our fingers and exchanged glances.
"I love you, my alpha,"-she declared.
"I love you, my mate. I'm referring to my foolish witch."-I said. We sealed the deal with a long and passionate kiss.
"Your father is similar to you. Sweet and cold."
Things flashed across my mind as she grabbed my hand. It's the couple's father and mother. These rings hold memories.
NEW CHARACTER POV (JILLIAN MILLS)
I let out a long sigh. Today is another gathering of all the leaders, kings, and queens of many countries.
"Jillian, don't be like that. Your brow is riddled with wrinkles. Is there an issue?" -Xavier. I sigh once again.
"I'm just wondering how long this calm would stay, honey." I'm worried it won't survive much longer."
"Don't be terrified of things over which we have no control.? What we can do is try to find a solution to save the lives of innocent people. How can this be avoided? Find allies, if necessary." -he said.
"I don't want that to happen as much as I can. I've been in this position for more than a century, thanks to Cendrea's assistance in establishing this council. I didn t realize that the long peace that we all tried to preserve will be in danger."-I said. He hug me.
"I know you've been doing your best since Cendrea died 20 years ago. I realize how stressful it is for you. Just keep in mind that there are still those out there who want real peace."
"I understand, Xavier. That's why I'm doing my best to devise my own strategy. I'm glad you and our child are assisting me so much, even if I'm spending less time as the light of our family."-I said. He laughed and kissed me.
"That's why I'm the pillar of our family, to ensure that our house doesn't fall apart no matter what.? Now, shake off those wrinkles and grin, please?"-he said. I smiled and nodded. We proceeded to the conference room. Everyone appears to have arrived."-I ask. I looked around and noticed an empty seat. It is the residence of King Ulysses. My eyes widened when a pair appeared. That lady...
"We apologize for being late."-King? Ulysses.
"It's okay. We're only getting started."-I said.
"Thank you,"-he replied. They took their seats. I could feel the heat rising in my cousin's seat.
"All right. As the head of the treaty council. I hope everyone came for the same purpose."
"We all know, Jillian Mills, that trust amongst everyone is already shattered."-slaying council leader.
"Because everyone is ruining what was agreed upon.? That is precisely the issue. Did you realize how difficult it is to deal with reports of everyone's disobedience?! The slaying council slaughters supernatural beings. The hunting of wolves to humans. Vampires are being hunted, and witches are creating new monsters. All of those heresies and rumors are lying on my desk. That is precisely why we are not progressing toward the peace that we all desired. Everyone breaks the rules."-I said.
"It's because someone triggered it."-Glaiza.
"Exactly. And who perhaps it might be, hmm?"-I ask.
CYNTHIA MAXIMILLIAN POV
I can see that there is a lot of tension in the room. King Evan is the first to speak, and I understood why.
"I conclude that the slaying council is to blame for this catastrophe. My kingdom suffers as a result of their unjustified attacks. A whole village is destroyed because of the son of the slaying council leader. No one in that village would be able to live if it weren't for Song Chenqian."-he said. The leader of the slaying council spoke forward.
"It's because your kingdom is a lair of evil acts. Vampires, witches, and wolves. We have a report that backs up my allegations. There is a pack of wolves that killed numerous people and traveled to that village to hide."-he said. My friend speaks up.
"If that's the case, then where are they? Do you really need to set the houses on fire for that? Why didn't you consult with us before carrying out any acts in our kingdom?! The victims you murdered were human beings! Don't tell me your son and the witch he's with can't discern the difference between humans and wolves?"
"Be careful what you say, queen Alexa."-Philip.
"Everyone has the same problem. The majority of the issues arise because you all act without consulting the leaders and rulers of each region, clan, and town."-Jillian.
"The facts are being stated by the king and queen of Dusk, Salvador. In the same way as your slayers do in Gem Village. Do you think I forgot about that?"-King Nathan.
"Our village has been calm for decades. For decades, we did not consume human blood. But, because of heresies that were broadcast, you came to our town and annihilated us! We would have all died if it hadn't been for Cynthia! I knew all the villagers; we never crossed borders and always purchased our necessities inside our territory. We use a spell to track where my people go when they wander out. As a result, we are not the vampire who preys on human bloods."-Conrad. That's makes sense.
"And what about the wolves who are attacking humans? Even witches are capable of such feats. Did you already forget about that Salvador? Our region is not the only one where supernatural beings can be found. Have you forgotten about your own region? Because of the way the slaying council misbehaves, I believe the wolves, vampires, and witches that reside in the Southeast regions are the ones creating chaos. Your council has simply thrown dirt on our territories."-Ulysses. Salvador looks to be surprised to what Ulysses said. I'm attempting to keep an eye on everyone.
"How do you feel about it, Salvador? I'm doing my own investigation. Everyone is hurling dirt at one another but Twinmoon, Skyfall, Dusk and Magus kingdom are trying their best to cooperate."-Jillian.
"Are you all trying to cast suspicion on us?"
"Do you believe we don't have a basis? For the previous few years, the majority of the difficulties that have been passed on to me have all been caused by your slayers' wrongdoings. As King Ulysses said, their regions are not the only ones which had supernatural beings that resides."-she continued.
"What about the heresies that are taking place in Dawn Kingdom? I heard that there are supernatural beings and even its residents that are mysteriously disappearing?"-I said as I arose to my feet. My father and stepmother gave me a death stare. They're all staring at me. I'd better express what I'm thinking.
"Twenty years ago, a wolf pack began to cause problems on various human villages. They are from the Southeast. Several wolf and vampire communities were attacked by witches 37 years ago. Everyone's peace had already been shattered before I was born. The question is, Who's behind all of this?"-I said.
"Hey! Shut that hell mouth!"-Gladys.
"Stop dragging us around and blaming us!"-he said. I smirk and turn to face them. I should carry out the first step in my plans. I ll make sure they ll be troubled.
"My council has been defending innocent lives and those who are unable to protect themselves. Stop pointing dirt at us because you can't control your beast sides."-Salvador. Nathan expresses himself.
"Exactly. That is the start of these issues. We were all in agreement that we wanted to save innocent lives. The issue is that you all perceive supernatural beings as dangers! Beasts! Evils! While humans are what? Which is the nicest? Who are the good ones? Don't give me that bullshit. It's making me feel sick."
"What are you suggesting, ruler of blood sucking beasts?"- Philip. Father stood up as well.
"Stop, everyone! Have you ever considered that the daughter of that pureblood witch who used me is now manipulating us? Exactly like her mother!"-he said.
"Exactly. She can completely express such things, accusations, and assumptions, which indicates she must be the one behind all of this! That she carried on her mother's wicked acts!"-stepmother.
"Exactly. Why are we paying attention to her rants? She has evil's blood in her veins."-Salvador.
"Stop right now! Cynthia and Aunt Cendrea aren't bad!"
"We should release the king of the wolf region from that woman's evilness."-father. Some of them rose to their feet and pointed their weapons towards me.
"Virgin blood from the pureblooded vampire, alpha king, humans, witches, and osiria rose. Tell me, who among the four clans desires to rule the time?"
I can tell they're all flabbergasted. Who amongst us?
