Chapter 77: Clue for Gladys

I decided to search on this abandon house of that servant. Aunt Jillian told me that I should investigate about that slave's existence first. I look around.
This place is odd. It was been abandoned but it has a different aura. A spell must have been cast on this house. Let me try to break it."
I tried to use spells to break this different aura but it never work. I walk further and I saw a broken mirror. I touch it, for some reason I cut myself.
"Agh. How can I even cut myself? There is no broken glass on the part I touches."-I said. I lick my finger and when it healed, the mirror suddenly show images. No, this is not images...it feels like it's a memory! Is this the slave that aunt Jillian talk about?'
The door opens and my mother enters. The man seems to be afraid of her existence. She uses fear to control Magus kingdom.
"My lady, what can I do for you?"
"Come to my bed every night. I need you to make me pregnant as soon as possible."-she said. My eyes widened to what I hear. What the hell, mother!"
"Ehh? But my lady, that a corporal sin for a slave like me. Please, don't do this to me."-he said.
"Do. If you wanted to live. A single late of time will be a torture for you."-she said and leave him.
Don't tell me...mother lied to me about my real father?! Wait...the name of that man is, Wallace! Yes, he might be Wallace isn't it?"
"Amaro, who came here? I heard a woman's voice?"
"Nothing mother. Just a vendor of fish and meat."
"I see. Did you buy anything?"-she ask.
"No. Because she is asking an impossible price. Let's just have vegetables for tonight, mother."-he said.
Tears fall in my cheeks. I took the vase on this table and threw it off the mirror. My mother is a liar!
"How could you do this to me, mother!"
I ran away from that house and decided to go on a bar on our enemies territory. A man sit on the chair beside me. I drink the wine that is being serve for me. I know who this man is, he is an alpha.
"You sure have guts, daughter of witch's clan leader."-he said. I smiled bitterly.
"And you must be wanting to be killed or eager to kill me either."-I said. He laugh. They serve him a wine and he raise his glass for a toast.
"Nope. I just sense that an enemy is around my own territory."-he said. I laugh.
"I just wanted a great wine, lord Yurin. Don't be a joy killer."-I said in sarcasm.
"Oh? Why is that?"-he ask. What a nuisance!'
ULYSSES ALEXANDERS P.O.V
"You should also talk to marquis Vaughn, I knew he will give you his help without a doubt."-he said.
"What did you mean by that, lord Klorr?"
"You will know."-he said. We left him and appeared in his garden. I can smell George's scent.
"George is here."-I said. She smile.
"Yes. I know. I sense his presence. Then a man who uses his speed appeared in front of us. He bow down. This must be marquis Vaughn.
"Greetings to her highness."-he said.
"Oh, hi!"-George said. He stood beside me.
"Good thing you came also, king Ulysses."
"Yes. Apparently, I have to. I don't want her to do her things on her own. She always do that."-I said.
"Yes. She is. When she and Ashley are my apprentice, she always say that she's okay even if it is a lie. She shoulders everything that she can."
"Ahem. Hello? I am here."-she said. He laugh.
"I know."-he said. Marquis Vaughn look at me.
"It looks like your mother's prophecy gives you a life that you should've have since you were born."
"Yes. I didn't understand why she left me all alone and trusted a vision about someone who will save me but...it's true. I finally have warm home."
"I knew why you are here as this man told me that you wanted to take the throne away from your father's reign. It wouldn't be easy, he is a slayer himself."-he said. I look at him. He look at me with a lonely expression. Did I know him?
"What's with that face?"-I ask.
"Have you ever watch the last message that Cendrea left for you, king of wolves?"-he said.
"Me? I didn't. She left one for me?"
"Yes. I think it's a book with blank pages. She said it will be in the possession of the first princess."
"Oh, you mean this book?"-she said. She gave it to me. Just like what happened to the others, when you flip the pages, it will cut your finger. Letters starts to be written and her face appears.
"How can I even start? I have save most being because I knew they are innocent or misfortunes by the wrongdoings of slayers. You're one of those, Ulysses. Since I started to investigate about the real nature of Daniel, I found out his secret. I feel bad that I end up with a plan pf killing him after I gave birth to Cynthia. Yes, that will be my daughter's name."-she said and touches her belly.
"I knew I won't succeed in killing him. I hope one day you can be able to do it yourself. The one who slaughtered your hometown village is the man who uses me. It's Daniel Humphries."-she said.
"Daniel Humphries...? Damn it!"-I shouted. My eyes turns yellow. The pain and hatred that I have hide for ages suddenly arose in my heart.
"I will kill him."-I said and turn my back. She suddenly wrap her hand on my waist and the other one covers my eye. She mumbles something. Then I started to calm down. She uses a spell to stop me.
"Calm down, Ulysses. Hold your breath."-she said.
"Your father killed my whole family!"-I exclaimed.
"You won't win if you will be like this."-she said.
"I'm sorry."-I said. But I won't listen to you. If I die, Yael will take over the kingdom."
"No, Ulysses!"-she said. She stops me from leaving but I used a talisman. I look up on this castle. My jaw tightened. I remember the night that he put her daughter in laughing situation. My blood is boiling from within. You killed the innocent beings on my hometown village. You killed the woman who help me and you made my woman suffer. I should kill you first, you scumbag!"
But the queen appears and the castle is now protected by a barrier. I smirk and look at her madly.
"That's why I hate you since the first time I saw you, illusionary queen of this kingdom."
"You have the courage to come here even if you know that death is waiting for you here, king of wolves."-she said. All my vines are now targeting her but I can tell that she has no fear at all.
"Don't get your hopes too high, Brenda. You are just random old witch who will never surpass Cendrea."-I said. Her eyes turns to white.
"Stop comparing me to that bitch!"-she shouted. A strong wind attacks me but my vines protected me until I was surrounded by fire. I just smirk.
"Cendrea will always be the greatest witch in the history even you and Glaiza will joined hands together, you are still the cowardice who didn't even stand a chance to be in her shadows!"-I shouted. I attack her first and walk off from this fire she created. I will kill her then I'll kill that king next.
"I said, shut up."-she said. Her magic suddenly changes and I can feel a strong force strangling around my neck. I cough but I raise my hand and tried to put her in a prison and release the poison from the inside. I will never die alone! You moron!"
"Stop this already."-a cold voice stops us. In just a snap of her finger, my vines turns to ashes. The force strangling me had vanish. I cough.
"Oh, the idiot princess came for a rescue, huh?"
"I told you to back off, Ulysses."-she said. She gave me that mad and blank expression.
"You should've let me die along with her."-I said.
CYNTHIA MAXIMILLIAN P.O.V
Thank goodness! That was close! Good thing I remember that Brenda is a witch or else..."
I didn't follow him after he left. Because I am afraid. I saw the unbearable pain and wrath in his eyes. The one who slaughtered their village and his parents is my own father! I feel bad and I hate it so much.
"Your highness, I heard a commotion—now it explains. The dirtiest beings are here."-Vera.
"Shut up."-I said and directly attack her. But Brenda protected her. She smirk at me as if she wins.
"I will kill all of them on this day. Don't try to stop me."-he said. His eyes turns yellow again.
"Don't move or I'll kill you myself."-I said. He look at me. I didn't show any emotions to him.
"Are you trying to protect them? Have you forgotten how they turn you into the clown of their banquet? Don't tell me you will stop me from killing the man who killed my parents?!"-he said. His eyes showed disappoint and wrath on me.
"Mother...save my father...don't let him die!"
That voice again? Who is that boy? Who are you?!"
"Please mother, save my father. Don't let his wrath eats his pure heart. Save him for us!"
"Ahahahaha! Poor you, and you think by stopping him will make your father accepts you?"-she said.
"Don't be ridiculous. I will never seek that tyrant for his love and acceptance. He is not my mother since he killed my mother."-I said in cold sarcasm.
"No one will accept and evil's child."-Vera. I smirk.
"Don't worry, even you won't be accepted. You deserve to be left alone, you bitch."-I said. Her eyes shows her rage. I snap my finger and her cheek is bleeding. I put a letter V on her right cheeks.
"That is for the days you acted in front of me. And this?"-I snap my finger again. Her hands is bleeding.
"Go back inside and treat your wounds! How dare you!"-Brenda shouted. Ulysses vines attacks her from her back. He can use the ground to outgrow his vines. He strikes her in her stomach. She starts bleeding. I look at him, I use a sleeping spell to stop him. As he falls down, Brenda starts spitting blood. I catches him and caress his cheek.
"Let's go home, you silly."-I mumbled.
"I won't let you off!"-she said. I look at her.
"Tell this to your beloved husband. Enjoy his reign in this kingdom. All of you. I will be taking back all the things that belongs to me. Especially this castle."
"Huh! That will never happen."-she said. I smirk.
"Don't be too moron, Brenda. After all, you won't stand a chance on me, even if you controls time."
"How did you...?"-she said. I smirk and we disappear.
